MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. Raijin's Spellbook is not a book, per se, but long scroll on fine aged parchment, that tucks neatly into a hidden compartment on the Saya for his sword. It spends most of the time hidden away, but it taken out for studying and transcribing.

Minor Seal of the Lightning Dragon(S, M/e) : A sigil ridden seal made solidified magic wreathed in crackling lightning appears, either in a fixed location, or floating before the user. The seal itself has strength enough to block gunfire, but can only take one strike before it discharges and disbands. When the seal discharges, if struck by a melee attack, it sends a rush of electricity into the attacker, causing pain, and with enough strikes, incapacitation. The seal can be as small as a closed fist, or as wide and tall as a meter. Its location can be shifted at will within 30 feet of the caster.

Booming Blade (V, E) : An incantation is spoken into target melee weapon, or fist. When the targeted weapon makes contact with the desired target, there is a flash of completely silent lightning in the background, but no added effect. The next time the target attempts to move, the thunder from the flash of lightning manifests within their body in a shudder of sonic force, damaging them from the inside out. The force is such that a few strikes can incapacitate even the toughest opponents. Side effects can include damage to internal organs, temporary loss of hearing, burst ear drums, death with enough exposures.

Inazuma No Michi <Lightning Road> (V/S, E/m): Two weapons can be attuned to this spell at a time. The user speaks an incantation, promising the swiftness of the strike of a lightning bolt, while drawing a three pointed sigil with the tip of their blade. They then take a step in the direction of one attuned weapon, and are transformed into a lightning bolt, which shoots directly to said weapon, where they reappear grasping it by the handle. This has a max range of 100 feet, but is near instantaneous once the spell has been cast.
