The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Carrick smirked, he missed where he grew up but too much had changed for him to stay at least that was what he told himself. There was a reason he left and decided to de-age. He assumed it had to do with his mother’s passing. He didn’t have anyone else to keep him there. ”I bet.” Carrick said laughing, ”No classes with no royalty.” he thought for a second, ”What would you do all day?” Carrick asked curiously seeing as he had no clue what royalty did all day.
”Any idea how long yer staying here?” he asked curiously as he pushed himself up and hopped to his feet. With his wings open he flapped twice to get him off the ground and back up to another bunch of apples he grabbed two this time and cleaned off one and bit into it. ”Got to be madding.” mouth full of the apple.
His wings stopped flapping and tucked behind him after he touched back down. The non chewed apple dropped into his book bag before he walked closer to the princess, ”That’s a lot of branches.” he said biting the apple.
Amethyst did miss Atlantis. It was her home, and it was an extraordinary home, a place the rest of the world thought of as a legend. She realized she wanted to go back, even if she was not very fond of her cousin being the queen.
>>”I bet. No classes with no royalty. What would you do all day?”
"What wouldn't I do?" she chuckled. Gorgons had such strange ideas about royalty. Like, the fact that lounging around was boring. Whoever thought that didn't know how to lounge properly.
>>”Any idea how long yer staying here? Got to be madding.”
"Until further notice" she sighed "Or at least... what is it? Until I graduate. There has to be a demigod representative here, to... show that this place is not just for gorgons."
>>”That’s a lot of branches.”
"It is what an excellent assignment looks like" she noted with a smirk, and got up, carefully holding the sheet of paper "But don't worry. I'm sure you will get points for effort. And when I win this bet of yours... you will get to sleep in this three for a week."
”That’s a bummer. Here I am just adding to the problem.” Carrick said with an apologetic grin. If it was because there were too many gorgons and he was one, he was indeed part of it then. ”Why does Atlantis care what goes on in New York anyways? Don’t they have other places to worry about?” Carrick asked, ”Maybe closer to home?”
The way she bragged about the assignment Carrick would have loved or her to do worse than him, however he had never been to great at school. Even when he was taking classes with Liz the only reason he did so well was because she was there helping and encouraging him to actually try and show up. His tail flicked with irritation at the thought of Liz and schooling.
”Oh?” Carrick said looking up into the tree, ”At least make it difficult for me love.” he said looking at the tree, ”Some cover at least, better some of the ****holes I slept in before. When I was with the circus we slept on open boxcars. I drew the short straw on occasion and had the ones next to the animals. Flies.” Carrick shook his head.
When she pushed up Carrick gathered up his stuff and threw his bag over his shoulder, ”Right we good then? Ready to go back and lose the bet?” Carrick asked hopeful so he could get back to what mattered. Like flying.
>>”That’s a bummer. Here I am just adding to the problem. Why does Atlantis care what goes on in New York anyways? Don’t they have other places to worry about? Maybe closer to home?”
"Diplomacy. One day I'll explain it to you."
It really was that, diplomatic relations with the rest of the world, since Atlantis had resurfaced and was now in need of resources. And good will. Under Atlan, they would have dictated the terms... but not anymore. So, Amethyst was here, doing representational duty. And making bets with gorgons.
>>”At least make it difficult for me love. Some cover at least, better some of the ****holes I slept in before. When I was with the circus we slept on open boxcars. I drew the short straw on occasion and had the ones next to the animals. Flies.”
"I am thoroughly impressed by your expertise on dirt." she deadpanned. Of course he had been with a circus. And he was still annoyed by the idea of being a royal pet? At least royal pets didn't get fleas.
>>”Right we good then? Ready to go back and lose the bet?”
"Sure." she smirked, heading back to the building. "May the better family tree win."
