The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The biggest problem Carrick had while flowing lower in the city was the amount of bright lights and things that popped up quickly into view. Half of him knew to ignore it and focus on the things that would need him to move out of the way while the ither half of him wanted to follow whatever popped up briefly. If he was lost in thought never get home. Too many shiny things calling to him.
”Be a waste of time n’d money fer them.” he said with a smirk, ”Try not to be too predictable with me paths.” Carrick said trying never to take the same way twice. Usually he was too high for anyone to try and net him anyways.
His eyes shifted to the woman he was carrying and he blushed slightly his eyes trying to avoid her cleavage. ”Awww, don’t sell yerself short love. Pretty lady flying through the air should raise a few eyebrows.” he said playing up the part of ‘rogue musician’.
”Be a good guess.” he said grinning, ”Was it the tail or wings?” he asked flashing his pointed teeth. ”Got two other forms one good, bit full of himself and the other one we don’t talk about.” Carrick said not wanting to reveal too much. ”He’s difficult.”
Another flock of pigeons passed by and he did a quick turn catching an updraft from there he started to circle till he got some direction on where to go. ”Full of Surprises is the nicest way anyone has ever described me.” he said laughing, ”Usually they just say I’m full of ****”

She nodded, she supposed he was right, even amoung mutants flight was not all that common so who was waiting around prepared for such a thing. She figured Carrick had thought about all this since whenever he had obtained his wings. Still it was hard not to bring up such things as they came into her mind. "Most of them don't even seem to look up" she said watching as they went lower.
He was smooth she had to give him that, prolbely the public image had forced it on him or maybe the opposite was true. "Honestly the wing's took my eye first, i hardly noticed the tail til after we spoke. Well i would say i encountered the best of the three so far. The booze don't speak to me which makes it easy, still would be nice if i could turn it off" she said trying to follow his lead and trail away from his other forms.
"We are all full of it. I use to tell customers i had laser eyes or the power to make people eplode. Drunk's will beleive a lot when your handing them a beer" she went on watching the view as they went and as the went higher up. "the trick is finding out just what sh** each is full of" she said thinking back on her experience with customers. She had often been something slightly different to each depending on what worked best and what got the best tip.
”I can get their attention if ya want.” he asked smirking, ”Great at getting loud!” he grinned loving to demand attention. It might actually deafen Melissa if he roared so he’d just shout!
The wings usually did get the attention first which was fine. The wings brought people around and the tail kept them around with it’s antics. His backside was practically a show itself. He didn’t make the joke. His tail flicked behind him but fell back into place from the wind. ”Shucks, love. Almost don’t want ta take ya home now.” he said with a chuckle.
”Been apart of that group before I’m sure.” he turning his gaze to her. ”Also glad ya don’t. I don’t like exploding. Granted never done it but can’t imagine it be enjoyable.”
”So, where's home? Unless ya want me to drop ya off somewhere near by. Strangers. I get it.” he flashed his pointed teeth.
