The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Character's real name: Carrie Mietzl Codename/Alias: None (…yet)
Gender: Female Age: 24 Nationality/Ethnicity: European Birthplace: Belgium Personality: has a mind of her own, whips out opinions when she feels like it, not caring if it hurts, so long as it does justice, loyal, can be social maintaining mostly a superficial level, often withdrawn, tired, angry, restless, has signs of borderline personality, occasionally impulsive Notes (Hobbies, Phobias, Worries, ect.): Spends a lot of time brooding, fears that she will die before brother is healed Allegiance (Good, Bad, or Neutral): Neutral
Everyday clothing: forest green tunic, off shoulder bell sleeves gathered at wrists with gold metal clasps, sash with gold Celtic brooch extending below skirt over jeweled breastplate, ankle length button up stiletto boots
Hair color and style: black, coiffed most of the time, wisps poking out Eye color: brown that seem to soften and harden Height: 156cm Build: slight, sturdy but slender
Scars: one on right side of waist and wrist Tattoos: none Piercings: none Description of ability(ies): Shield - out of will power Carrie can focus energy and create a 3D version (like a holographic) of her 19yr old self (though she is working on matching 3D self to her current age) in the ivory dress to block anything coming her way.
Sliding under skin - Carrie can shrink her body into a liquid solution small enough to pass through the pores of organic life. This means she can slip through other people's skin and navigate her way into the brain. Once inside she can collect gene samples or cell samples.
Cons (weaknesses) of ability(ies): Shield - As time passes or if the attacks are strong ones, then Carrie will start 'feeling' the effects of this in the form of pangs (i.e. like she's being hit, nausea). If her willpower weakens then the shield will weaken and if she loses concentration completely then the shield will zoom back and hit her at full force, bringing along all the attacks it had been holding (apart from blocking attacks, it 'hold's them, kind of like a sack) and hitting her at full force. The shield can however, be safely dismantled after a release by continual focus of approx 30min when the attack has stopped. The stronger/longer the attack the longer it takes to deactivate the shield. Also, it only blocks one path of attack.
Getting under skin - highly uncomfortable, can render some unfortunate soul a vegetable if a) Carrie’s not careful or b) Carrie doesn’t care or c) Carrie wanted to render them a vegetable. She risks picking up any diseases the subject’s carrying. Also someone is after her power for his own use.
Fighting style (if any): doesn’t really have a fighting style. Mainly just uses ‘borrowed’ equipment
History of your character: On her 19th birthday Melpsa and her brother Boon from the local orphanage came uninvited, changing Carrie into a mutant, putting her brother into a deep coma and kicking her out of home to boot. Now five years later at 24 Carrie has been working at a gene crazed guy’s lab to help find five of the rumored ‘top genes’ in the world by using scanning equipment provided to all workers. What her boss doesn’t know is of her ability to take actual clones of the genes. Carrie has stayed because a) she needs to copy genes anyway and b) she requires the cloning lab equipment at the lab to work on making a formula to waken her brother. This she does by making a clone of him and mixing the gene she had collected earlier with some of her blood as a precaution and inserting it into Daniel. If boss Rokha finds out that she too is a mutant, then that would lead to many sticky situations. As such she stays trying to avoid him whenever possible. Besides, she can get free equipment from working for him with a couple thousand other underpaid dim-witted workers. That plus room and board. Though in Carrie’s opinion rummaging for a place to stay outdoors is more pleasant.

It was 7am and Carrie was ready. Laser gun in hand she marched up the stone steps of the Victorian porch, stiletto boots clicking angrily. She stopped. This was the house that was home. It was hers. Or it had been until five years ago. How dare that little half-breed of grit Melpsa and her stupid brother move in just like that? But today that was going to change. A ghostly smile played on her lips. Carrie held the ring from the griffin’s head and knocked three times.
In a few moments the brass door swung open. Carrie stepped in, her head spinning, the same old rugged smell overwhelming her. There! The ancient lantern lamp still hung dead center of the corridor next to the banister. And there! Grandma’s portrait still gave her a flared nose. And oh… Mother’s beautiful mirror; it hadn’t moved either. She must touch it, it couldn’t be just a drea-
“Please miss, you mus’n’ come in like that,”
Carrie started. She hadn’t noticed the girl. In fact what was she doing here? Carrie didn’t recall seeing a servant-girl ever in the house. But of course things must’ve changed some. She eyed her curiously.
“Why not?” she asked not unkindly. “The missus’ said so an’ -” the mousy red-faced girl stammered. “I am the ‘missus’” Carrie muttered, pushing her way in. Where did you learn about this site?: HADES
thanks Raven - carrie's working for a guy mad about taking gene samples and cells right now to fine the the five rumoured 'top genes' . he's also trying to mechanically created powerful ones. carrie got this power by accident and is working for him simply because of the need for room and board (no just kidding). she *borrows* his equipment to fine genes and cells, but rather than working for him, she's out to look for a curing gene/cell that will waken her unconscious brother
