The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"It's a lotta names." And none of them felt like her... when she was a her. In fact watching herself had been near alien and totally out-of-body experience. But...he was out of his usual body.
"I don' even know any Dutch people." Or Hispanics... or people for that matter. He could only recognize and name a handful of people at the moment. Some of those he probably didn't even actually know...
Noel ran his hands across his face, smudging his nose and cheeks and the remnants of makeup he'd attempted to cover up his black eye with.
"Okay, but... this changes exactly nothing. Right? Other an address, which is likely t' be as fruitful as all the other clues, an' a name, which dunnit feel like it applies. So... I'm still Noel." That felt like an impactful statement... didn't it? He searched Michael's face to make sure he didn't just say something really stupid. "I don' know how t' be anythin' else."

Ranger had to nod her head in agreement. It was a lot of names. None of them Noel and none of them felt right for who Noel was. Granted Ranger had only known Noel a short time, but they’d had a hell of a series of circumstances to get to know one another.
Noel looked like he needed to take a moment as he ran his hand over his face. Ranger gave him that moment.
When Noel spoke again he was working through it all. Nothing had changed. They had an address and a name. Ranger had to agree with his conclusion, he was still Noel. The rest, Ranger wasn’t as sure of.
”Yeah. Y’re still Noel.” Ranger nodded. Knowing a little bit about your history didn’t change who someone was. Especially if the knowledge was purely academic. Ranger finding memories of Noel being an Angela didn’t suddenly make Noel Angela. It only gave a thread to follow to find more about Noel’s fast… If he wanted to. ”A name an’ an address though… That we can use.” Ranger looked off to the side while she worked through the course of action in her mind. ”With that information y’ could search public records. Find y’r parents’ names. Find them…” Ranger looked back to Noel. ”If y’ want to.”
It wouldn’t be the first time Ranger had used small amounts of information to hunt down people. It would be the first time for her to do it when the target was someone who the person she was finding them for should have some feelings for them… but doesn’t.

It was surprisingly comforting to hear that he was still Noel. Disconcerting to hear it from Noel's lips, but...
"Oh no. I'm not callin' or trackin' anyone down until we get this—" He motioned between the two of them, "settled for serious. Later we c'n deal with when we get there." His phone started ringing in his hand and Noel realized that they still hadn't switched cellphones. His eyes bugged momentarily when he saw the caller id.
"It's work. SUPER's New York office probably confirming details f'r when I start up... Y' think y' can be me if we're still not back t' normal on Monday?" He needed an answer like, yesterday. "Cain't not answer... I'll put it on speaker phone and you talk."

Ranger’s eye widened a little. Yes. Noel was right. It was best to wait to call or track anyone down, particularly Noel’s family, until they were able to find a way to return to their own bodies. ”Agreed.” Besides, they would be swapping back so waiting wasn’t an issue. And swapping back would be soon. Down the path of considering other outcomes lay madness. Ranger was going to say more but as soon as she opened her mouth a phone rang.
Noel’s phone.
A sinking feeling came over Ranger as she watched Noel’s face when he looked at the caller ID. Before Noel even said it, Ranger knew it had to be SUPER calling.
Noel quickly explained that it was the New York office of SUPER and asked if Ranger could be Noel on Monday had they not swapped back by then. Ranger quickly said, ”If I am I won’t have much choice… I can do it.” Ranger nodded as she affirmed she could be Noel if she had to. Depending on how the conversation with SUPER went, Ranger might have to sacrifice a few memories to keep up appearances. She didn’t like the idea of that, but when needs must, you do what you have to do.
The phone was put on speaker phone and Ranger spoke while watching Noel’s face. ”This is Noel.” A sour taste but nothing she couldn’t keep off her face.
What followed was a conversation that was all too long. It began casually enough. Checking in to make sure she was well after the trip back to New York City, a small mention of the accent. Normal, obligatory, small talk. Then it moved on to business. Work that “Noel” would need to do now that she was ready for active duty again. A few odds and ends that would require going into HQ, a likely mission requiring her power, and… Wait…
”Did y’ say… Hot Tub Time Machine Party?” Ranger blinked and looked at the phone in surprise. That was not something she had been expecting.
“Yes. Haven is throwing a fundraiser to benefit those who are victims of the de-aging that has been happening in the city. As someone who has been de-aged themselves, as well as someone who had prior association with Haven, we feel you and Agent Hunter would be the perfect agents to embed in the event. His handler will be reaching out to him as well to discuss specifics.”
”I understand. I’ll be there.”
“Further details will follow, but I will say that the objective is information gathering. There is a chance someone there might have some information pertaining to the abductions or de-aging. It is also likely the culprit might make an appearance to see their work. Consider this an intel operation. Go get yourself a nice bikini.”[/color]
”W-Wilco.” Ranger stuttered. The last line was something she hadn’t expected. It made sense, it was female spycraft 101. Be attractive and men will tell you almost anything or take you almost anywhere.
After a few more odds and ends, and a few times looking to Noel for head nod confirmation, the call ended. Ranger let out a breath. Playing a part was not new to her, especially over the phone, but never had she played the part of someone where there could be consequences for the other person and that person was someone she cared what happened to them.
"uhhh... If we're not swapped back soon... I'll need a bikini.” Ranger looked back to Noel. It was a week away. Surely they would be swapped back by then.
