The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Plot. Yes. Plot. The date had been very heavy with the plot. Very heavy handed.
There were things she was still sorting through. Things she understood. Things she wished to speak with others about.
Plot.
After the date, she had returned to the mansion. In her mind, she saw one person with whom she would like to talk. But she knew not where that person was... Maybe Mama Sky would know?
Of course, she wanted to speak with Sky too. About the date. About the other things. But Sky had not been directly affected like the other person had. It was later in the evening. Hopefully, she would be in her room... or else Lenna would have to call.
As Lenna turned in the halls of the mansion, towards Sky’s room in the girls dormitories, she ran into the person she sought. No, really. Full speed. What were the odds?
Lenna oofed! And fell on her butt. Then, her eyes fell on the person she had run in to and her face lit up.
”Megan girl!” she said.
She was still dressed up in what she had worn on the date earlier that day, and she was a sight. She wore a hot pink and white striped t-shirt, with a green zip up hooded sweatshirt, a violet scarf, white and red tennis shoes, and weathered blue jeans. Her hair was up in a ponytail tied with a sky blue hair ribbon. The color combination was eye melting. Even from her floor-based perspective.
She had been minding her own business and reading over one of the class assignments she had recently gotten back. She'd been marked down for a lot of answers, and apparently it was because she flat out refused to use whatever new witchcraft of a formula they wanted to for Math. She'd been mad, was still mad, that her grade had been docked slightly for it. Who cared how she solved a problem? She could solve it with @#$%ing sticks and apples and if she got the answer correct who cared?!
She sighed.
And then ran headlong into someone else and cartwheeled backwards until her butt hit the floor. "Yeouch!"
When she finally focused on who she had hit, and that person focused on her, her expression lit up like it was effing Christmas morning.
"Lenna babe!" Good golly, she hadn't seen that girl in forever! It felt like months had passed. Had they? She wasn't sure. "Ohmygosh!"
Megan scrambled to her feet and picked up her papers, folding them back up and tucking them away in a pocket of her dress for safekeeping (and away from prying eyes, since she was anal about her grades...)
My god, Lenna sure was in a lot of colors there. All of the colors. Like a rainbow had beamed down and hit her, and the colors had stuck. They were exact opposites right then, Lenna all colorful while Megan was decked out in black's and whites. The only color currently on her was a red headband keeping the long hair from her eyes. Her dress was definitely not colorful in any way. Her style had shifted from punk rocker to gothic 1950s and she was loving it. Especially cinched waists. Good lord, they were so pretty!
Though her footwear hadn't changed much since Lenna and she had last seen each other. Megan had grown attached to combat boots quite a bit, especially once that didn't make her any taller than she needed to be. At 5'9 she was already tall enough. Two inches of shoe easily brought her higher than many of her female peers.
She smoothed her full skirt back down and smiled widely at her friend and offered her a hand up. "Are you okay? How are you!? It's been forever since we last talked!"
So it was a two-fer. She fell on her butt. Megan fell on her but. What a painful way to get two birds with one stone. So why was she happy?
Oh right. Megan was a friend. The other girl was just as excited to see her. Because this is how friends react when they see you, yes? Yes.
Megan offered her a hand up. Lenna beamed. Then, she took the air and rose to her feet. Dusted herself off. And took Megan in.
There had been a style change since last they had met. Less of one thing, more of another. Lenna was uncertain what one would have called the old style. Grungy? But this was more... doll-like? Though the foot wear was unchanged. She liked the new look.
”I am good!” She replied. ”I am well.” Because Megan asked the same question twice, she felt justified in answering it twice. ”And it has. Been forever.” A low chuckle escaped her. ”Last time we were together, we both had many questions. And no place to stay. Seems we figured that one out. And my boyfriend helped me understand some of this plot that has been going around, with all of those questions we had. Megan. I know things. About the plot.”
Lenna met Megan’s eye, most seriously. Yes. She knew a great many things. Things that would most certainly would be of interest to Megan. She began with a slow pitch.
Was Megan a hugger? She hadn't been before, not really. This felt okay though. Lenna and she had a connection born in literal blood and dire. It was hard not to hug the girl in greeting after what they had and were still going through.
She smiled widely enough for her dimples to show and listened. Plot? What plot? Oooh! That plot. Lenna had figured it out? How funny, Megan had figured out a bit too. Coincidentally a boy had helped her also. Maybe boys were actually useful in New York?
Question was, did Lenna know more than her though? How intriguing! Megan was still on the hunt for more information about what had happened and how exactly it had come about but had reached more than a few dead ends. If Lenna knew anything she hadn't already been told, she was more than willing to hear about it!
"Really?!" She was practically vibrating with excitement. "I found out about the de-aged bit, actually... a few of the teachers here either experienced it themselves or know someone affected by it. It's... weird, isn't it?" Her smile pinched just a little, but she didn't focus on it.
"I ran into a boy here who was able to help me figure out a bunch of stuff, also. Showed me images and things from when I had been older! Oh, and one of the staff members here knew me when I had been older!"
She paused, thrown off by her own rambling, and looked away sheepishly. "...I was apparently..um.. quite the character..."
Oh. So she had also learned about the plot. Lenna did not immediately sag in disappointment, but it was a close thing. Her smile merely slipped a little. She had been so excited to share the unknown. But it had been known. She bobbed her head once in acknowledgement, and reeled in her focus.
Yes. Megan could know what she already knew. But perhaps, there were things Megan was unaware of... which Lenna already knew. Perhaps, she could still be a help. And even if not, they were still friends. It would simply be a funny experience. Lenna was all too familiar with jokes where a person was the target of the humor. In Colombia at the school, that was what they did. One needed to grow thick skin, and a sense of humor. Or else, one was lost.
Megan seemed excited, at least. Even if she knew some of what Lenna knew. She did not dismiss it as worthless. Which was good. Lenna appreciated that.
So, many teachers present had experienced the deaging. Well. Okay. Was it weird?
"Yes." Lenna agreed. "And I have seen many weird things. Kind of an expert." Her Colombian accent made the statement sound extra wry.
A boy had helped her... by showing her images and things from when she had been older... it could not be. Could it? Lenna began to have the sinking feeling. In the pit of her belly. She kept smiling, though. Supportively. For the girls ramblings.
Quite the character. Huh.
"That is great!" Lenna nodded. And kept smiling. "It is good that people knew you when you were older. My boyfriend... apparently knew me. But not before we met. Again. And it feels like it might have been... a different me. Because like you, I am quite the character."
How could she explain, how could she explain?
"He knew a Me that worked with him years ago. He showed me a Lenna who seemed different than that Lenna. A Lenna changed her entire appearance, and became a pretty blonde woman... who followed... You? Into the bar. And then, there was a woman and a needle and a grenade and we became Us. Do you know someone named... Ty?" She asked, thoughtfully. Her mind held a great many thoughts. Lot O Plot.

"Hehe, no wonder we get along then. Two characters running into each other." Like characters from a story, bound to meet at some point at the discretion of their separate writers. A fascinating idea to fantasize about! Megan kept her comments short so as to not put the other girl off from talking.
It struck her as very very coincidental that Lenna had also changed her appearance, as had her older self. She still wasn't quite sure how, but that was a question still reserved for another time. As she listened, she gestured slightly toward them continuing down the hall and set them off in the direction of the kitchen. It would be nice to sit and catch up in a more relaxed atmosphere than a sometimes-crowded school hallway.
The older Lenna had followed her older self? Hm... Why though? Megan could make some assumptions based on what she knew of herself as to why she was in that bar, but not why someone would have followed her. Were... Were Lenna and her past lovers? Enemies? What was it?
Also, did she know someone named Ty?
"I do, actually. Both in the past and in the present." She paused momentarily and tapped her chin with one delicate finger.
"I ran into a Boy names Ty not too long ago here, and through a handshake, he saw glimpses of my...our.. the past. He helped me to piece together quite a few of the missing pieces of my previous life, which helped massively in the various conversations I've had with others who have known me."
She glanced at Lenna as a spider dropped from within her hair onto her shoulder, and then hopped off and scurried away behind them. "Did you run into him also? He had told me that he was also a victim of this whole De-aging fiasco and was trying to find answers himself."
Two characters. Yes. Crazy, wild. With lives you could not possibly make up.
Lenna spoke, and went with the scene tradition during the exposition. To the kitchen.
She plopped in a chair as Megan girl answered her question. Yes. Confirmed. Ty knew Megan. Haha. It was a minuscule planet, ultimately. Was it not?
Lenna listened. Face, the pokeriest of poker faces.
Special handshake, huh? Handshake of plot.
”He is my boyfriend.” She stated. ”He helped me sort out my personal life and figure out who i desire to be. We found some answers. Still have more questions. I think there are still some connections to be made about my previous employers... we went to my apartment where I had been attacked by some government men, and—“ Lenna yawned. Exposition was tiring.
She explained about the SUPER agents and how she thought she might have worked for them. And how maybe they wanted Megan. The fight with the agents on the roof, teaming up with a blonde who could explode. And how maybe it made sense she would work for them, knowing herself. Sounded like a Her thing.
