The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It seemed Sam missed a lot in the decade of him not remembering things. There were files to get around not remembering things, videos and talks with his older self he didn’t like relying on the information of his older self because between slurred words and the occasional **** he was hard to trust.
”Let me know when you do.” Sam said in regards to the bulletproof hoodie. ”Would like to model it sometime.” he rolled his eyes slightly. He had no intention of becoming a male model nor a role model in fact he just wanted to be able to decide for himself whatever it was. It was frustrating having everything written down for him took out a lot of the mystery. Who knows maybe there was some good information in there? He could always do more research into his former teammates. Ami included.
Sam shrugged, ”Kid is too perceptive.” he said nodding his head, ”I made her promise to stop reading so much and go try and play with other kids.” Sam said matter of fact. ”I also started to teach her sai throwing.” Sam said hoping that Ami indeed would not remember any of this. ”Not sure about the X-men but I got a lot to make up for.” folded his arms.
”Zombies?” Sam asked pointing his hand to the floor and forming a ice block. Just something enough for him to sit on.
Model a bulletproof hoodie? Was that was he was saying?
“Sure,” she smirked. “Though for you, I’m thinking Armani bond Tux.” Much more fitting. Unless of course the ice man preferred a mini skirt or jorts. Knowing Sam’s sense of humor, probably all at once.
It seemed Sam knew Eevee. Yes, she was too perceptive. Also, he had taught her sai throwing.
Amelia burst out laughing. “Is THAT where she got her great arm?” She said. “Thanks a lot!”
There could be explanations, but she wasn’t giving them. Had someone thrown sai at Amelia? Or maybe rocks? All things are possible.
And then he asked about zombies. Oh, was it story time now? Amelia patted away a yawn, and sat on her bed.
“On Halloween night, the dead did rise. Some mutant thought the end was nigh and made it so. Then he ran around with a trunk full of shotguns to help people undo what he’d wrought. I think. It’s Foggy. I can wield a shotgun, you know?” She yawned long and loudly. “My babysitter used to take me to the shooting range to practice guns. You know, if I ever turn back to Adult Me, and you turn back to Adult You, I’ll help you out, right?”
Amelia looked right at him. The comment had come out of nowhere, another lucid moment perhaps? With how tired she suddenly felt, perhaps being coherent and organized with her thoughts was less important than getting them out.
“Help you not become the same person you were. If he still makes you unhappy... pleashe do the same for me... got a feeling I wasn’t very happy either. Couldn’t even keep Maya...” She mumbled something after that. It sounded like “Chip, too.”
”Avoiding me like I killed her cat...”
She couldn’t have known the nickname, Chip, or some of the other details she’d alluded to, like CS’s sense of humor or glimpses of his past struggles. Chalk it up to the inferior cocktail of the gas-based deAging drug, and bits of her once past, future bogging down her momentarily lucid mind.

The amount of yawns was enough for Sam to take the hint, clearly Ami had a day. She was home and safe now and saying nice things to him like helping him out. The icemancer smirked and nodded his head. ”It’s a deal then.” Sam said as he added, ”Guess we get a fresh start. If only everyone was as lucky as us.” Sam eyed the icepack and raised his hand refreezing the parts that started to thaw.
He didn’t want to talk anymore about the person he was to become, it seemed with Ami’s help he might be able to avoid it. Maybe he just needed some friends to help him, then again he’d doubt he’d ask for help even if he needed it. He was stubborn like that both present and future.
”Alright Ami,” Sam looked to his ice chair and snapped his fingers causing it to break apart into bits of ice before looking back at her, ”I’ll check on you tomorrow alright?” he said as he walked to the door, ”We can talk more about the zombies tomorrow. Want to hear how you shoot too.” the icemancer said as he headed to the door.
Her phone was suddenly in her hand. She wanted to do something with it, but... it was dead. She would need to—
Oh hey, her ice pack was colder again. Had she been holding that bare this entire time? She ought to get something to wrap it in.
Her eyes darted around for a stray t shirt, or— big bag of clothes.
>>”Alright Ami.”
She looked up. That was pretty cool with the chair.
He’d check on her? “Alright,” she agreed. She’d only been half listening and sort of zoning out until he mentioned zombies.
“Zomboes, shoot yeah.” She smiled. Waved her phone at him. “Bye Sam. Get a new shirt~~~!”
Without checking to see if he’d gone, she flung herself on the floor and started rooting around for something to stick the melting ice pack into. She found a phone charger. Hey!!
She set that aside. Grabbed a red shirt with lightning bolt on the chest, and wrapped the ice pack in it the help with the numbing without freezing her fingers off thing. Then, she slapped it against one shoulder and held it there. Scooped up the charger, and went to single handedly plug in her phone for the night.
