The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She laughed outright at the attention joke. "I dunno, who's to say I don't want a new tamagotchi? Maybe i'd actually even remember to feed you."
Hmm.. Something that stands out? Her eyes roved over the spines of the various books, but... nope. Nothing really stood out to her. She wasn't terribly familiar with what books should or should not look like.
Instead she occupied her time watching him as he searched, still wondering what exactly this was. She didn't get the feeling she was in trouble, which was good, because how in the hell would she have explained that to Adonis? 'Whoops, sorry. I can't keep it in my pants and got expelled my first day.' She wasn't sure if he would laugh at her, or shake his head and give her some sort of 'i'm not mad, i'm disappointed' speech.
Her attention snapped back to Sam as he fiddled with a book and then the whole damn wall jerked into motion.
"...The @#$%?" Real eloquent, Juniper.
She didn't move, seeing as no wall could hurt her, moving or not. There was a control panel behind the whole thing. She glanced at Sam again when he spoke.
"No kidding. I don't think I've ever met someone with a spy bookcase before. What kinda faculty are you again...?" She glanced at his offered hand for a moment before a mischievous grin spread across her face.
"Well you asked the right girl. Snooping is my favorite part time job." She grabbed the offered hand, extending her power onto him, and tugged him forward through that complicated looking door with her. Was she prepared for what was on the other side? Probably not. These dudes had scifi murder rooms an super hero spy bookcases. This was way over her pay-grade.
She dropped the power as soon as they were both on the other side.

”Consider yourself hired then.” Sam said as walked through the wall with Juniper. It was an odd feeling and hard to describe but he stopped thinking about it when he found himself in the room. The lights must have been on a sensor because as soon as they were in the room and no longer walking through walls all the lights kicked on all of them; in the kitchen, over the hot tub (yup) in the bathroom, over the pool table and finally over the entertainment center.
Clearly this was his room. Basically everything he ever thought of when he was a kid was a fixture in this room. Sam never had the luxury of making any place his when he was a kid so it looked like he took his new found room designing to the extreme. ”**** me.” Sam finally said as he looked around the room.
”Starting to wonder what my job was as well.” Sam said looking back to Juniper, he was supposed to be a self-defense instructor but now it was looking like he was a goofing off instructor. ”Welcome to my other room.” he finally said as he started towards the pool table.
Well @#$% her sideways. He had a lounge behind a bookshelf in his office?
... Was that a hot tub??
"I intend to." The comment was off hand, as she was barely paying attention while trying to scope out everything that had been crammed into the space behind the bookshelf. Why did this school have hidden rooms?! He had a kitchen for christsake.
"You don't know?" That caught her attention. How could he not know what his own job was? She was growing more confused by the moment. He moved off toward the pool table. She followed along because she had nothing better to do, and there was clearly a mystery to solve. Apparently the two of them were a part of the mystery gang now. Where had his dog run off to..?
"This feels more like a bachelor pad for someone going through a mid life crisis. This school gets neater the longer I'm in it."

Sam ran his finger along the felt of the pool table then shrugged, ”Kind of know. I was the self-defense teacher here. Made sense given my background.” Sam’s gaze shot over to the hot tub then to the entertainment area. There was a juke-box straight out of a bar. Sam wondered if that came from his bar. Yeah, he had a bar too in the city he hadn’t checked out yet but apparently he didn’t need to worry about it running. Older Sam was confident about that.
”Several midlife crisis.” Sam started to laugh as he went over to the fridge and opened it. Fully stocked, with mixers and beers. Sam’s nose scrunched up at the thought of him going on a bender. ‘No wonder I was a drunk. I had it everywhere.’
Sam exited the kitchen area and passed the bathroom then started to laugh when he saw the bunk beds. Clearly used when it was impossible to walk up a flight of stairs to his actual bedroom. Sam kept going till he spotted another door he opened it to reveal a fireman’s pole that went down. He shook his head, ”Doubt I pulled permits for this.” Sam joked. ”Help yourself.” Sam said pointing to the fridge.
"Self defense, huh?" That was neat. She probably needed to start looking into things like that considering how dangerous the city was turning out to be.
She wasn't sure if she wanted to pry into what he meant about his background. She was already assuming he might have been one of the victims of that weird de-aging epidemic going around, that Xavier had mentioned to her. Lord only knows what that was like... she certainly didn't want to considering what her early teen years had been like.
"This must be kind.... weird, then? Going through all your own stuff and re-discovering it?" She watched him walk around poking through things, laughing at stuff. It was a little surreal. She almost felt like maybe she shouldn't have been around to witness it to some degree.
... but then he offered her whatever was in the fridge, and those feelings flew right out the window. Juniper scampered over to see what there was. Ultimately, after snuffling a few things around, she decided on a beer. She phased the cap off and took a sip.

Looking at the juke box now Sam pressed play and When the Levee breaks by zeppelin started to play he turned back to Juniper who phased off the top of the beer. ”Kind of.” Sam said with a shrug, ”Apparently I was planning on doing something with my memories anyways, I left myself a drive with a ton of information on it.” he didn’t go into detail on it. Something’s would have been too hard to explain especially since they just met.
”Something make sense” he pointed to the juke box, ”Favorite song. Always had been always will be. First song I ever heard on the radio.” then he gestured to the rest of the room, ”Everything else not so much. Never had an opportunity to control what goes into my room so it seems I just went overboard or I needed a more discreet place to bring dates.” Sam said with a smirk.
”Cool way to use your power.” Sam said walking towards the kitchen. He leaned on the counter facing her, ”I usually just frost it myself. What else can you do?” he asked raising an eyebrow
"Huh, so planned in a way? Strange." She fiddled with the metal cap in the fingers of her other hand.
"This is the most condensed version of a @#$%boi pad I've ever seen, so I imagine lots of dates happened here, yes." She shrugged one shoulder. "...Why no control over your own room, though? Super controlling parents?" Heck, even with her parents she had been allowed some freedom of her environment. She glanced around the space again.
She blinked at him as he joined her, and took another sip of beer. "I phase things, that's pretty much it." She shrugged again. "It's a pretty simple power, but I can do a lot with it. Not as cool as making snow or ice balls, but still useful."
She shifted on her feet so she could turn back to the fridge, and reach through it in order to search for another beer. When she found one she held it out to him with a grin. "I could phase the pants right off someone if I wanted." Her grin got a little wider.

”No parents.” Sam said shaking his head. He didn’t like talking about his childhood there wasn’t really much to talk about seeing as he wouldn’t consider him having a childhood. That ended when he was five. ”let’s just say the place I grew up didn’t allow much free thinking.”
Sam didn’t know what a ****boi was but he was pretty sure he didn’t want to be it. Maybe he should change something in the room now that he knew it existed and how he could get into it. He’d at least have to figure how to get into the room without someone to walk him through the walls. Taking the offered beer Sam removed the top and blew on the bottle frost formed immediately he took a sip knowing it would infuriate the older version of himself. Young Sam wasn’t a recovering alcoholic.
”Or you could just ask.” Sam said returning the grin.
Oof. No parents, huh? What did that mean then... foster care? Yikes. She decided to let that one lie, just as he had.
Thankfully it didn't seem that the conversation would be staying on that for long.
Her eyebrows rose a tiny bit at what sounded like an offer. Just ask?
"Oh sir, of most impressive height and pleasant appearance, I most humbly request of thee to remove thy pants so that I might bask in the glory of thy nudeness without further hindrance~!" She swept an arm out dramatically, bowing at the waist.
When she straightened she definitely had at mischievous twinkle in her eye and a catty smile on her lips.

She might have been okay not using the ye’ old English but like he said all she had to say was please and after he mock bow she said the magic word and looked cute doing it. Sam raised an eyebrow as he set down his beer, ”Just pleasant?” his shirt was the first thing to be removed scars littered his body in a tapestry of close calls from his life in T.A.T. from what he gathered most of them were healed when he was an adult now however with his eye everything seemed to be back.
Pants were next and soon Sam was nude. Lifting up the bottle and raising a toast he took a big swig then asked, ”So am I gonna have to ask to see you phase out of the clothes or?” he too then added the mock bow and magic word, ”Please.”
Ooo~ He had scars. Considering he was a self proclaimed self defense teacher, or... had been at some point, she chalked them up to a hazard of the job and left it at that. She watched, silent and amused as the rest of his clothing joined the discarded shirt. It was funny how nonchalant he was about just being there naked, still drinking his own beer. He exuded a special kind of confidence she reserved specially for encounters like this.
"I think I can upgrade you from pleasant, to super hunky. How's that?" Juniper winked, teasing as she downed the rest of her bottle and set the empty glass aside.
He asked nicely, so she started her own little show. It wasn't as glorious on the eyes as peeling off clothing, but she was lazy. So sue her. Instead of shedding her clothing like a normal person, she reached up to grip the front of her large sweatshirt and simply phased it from her body as she stepped closer to him, as requested. Juniper made a little bit of a show tossing it to the side, clad in a t-shirt underneath. Her pants went next with another step as she snagged a belt loop and virtually walked out of them. They ended up in a different pile tossed carelessly to the other side.
She kept peeling layers off, closing the distance between them, until the both of them were standing in their birthday suits. She grinned expectantly.

”I’ll allow it.” Sam said as she finished her glass and started the show. A show that he enjoyed immensely with the occasional gulp from the beer bottle.
Sam made sure to take it in and not say anything until she was arms length away. ”Understatement,” he pulled his jaw up. ”Can’t wait to see what you do for an encore.” he said with a smirk and another swig of beer.
”I’m pretty sure you’ll give me a standing ovation for mine.” the rest of the beer was consumed and Sam moved towards her.
"I only save the best for last~" She purred. It was something she had only recently learned to do from a hot chick in a bar who had willingly friend-zoned herself... with benefits. She was still practicing mimicking the way April did it.
She allowed him to close the distance, not shy in the slightest, and beamed up at him.
"Oh ho ho! A standing ovation he says? Darlin', if you can show me something worth a standing ovation i'll break out all of the tricks in my bag for you."
He reached for her and she remained solid, stepping closer and initiating her own contact when he was fully in range of her short arms. Again, he was taller, but where he had height to his advantage, she had a surprising amount of limberness and the ability to selectively shed her own weight.
The moment she managed to get her lips pressed to his, the party wasn't far behind.
