"There's a lot of boring adults around here from what I hear. Pretty easy to avoid them if you ask me. I ain't been caught yet and i've snuck in three times already." She hadn't thought about the fact that it might have just been from people already being used to seeing her older self around.

"There's always someone in the offices though, if they aren't roaming the halls looking for fun to squash."

She cast a curious look back at Amethyst, one eyebrow raised. "Gorgons? Like... Medusa and her sisters kinda gorgons? I ain't ever seen anything like that here. Not yet at least." Anything was possible if someone could bleed precious stones.

The more time Amethyst spent in the company of the little rebel, the more obvious it became that responsible adults were scarce inside the building. Should someone have not shown up yet to see who arrived? Wasn't there some kind of a system? What kind of a place did her queen really send her to?

Amethyst was suddenly seriously worried. Could anyone just get it? Her presence here was public knowledge. How long before people showed up trying to kidnap her for whatever reason? What if some crazy gorgon wanted revenge for imaginary problems?...

Amethyst's brows furrowed. Medusa... Medusa way mythology. A tale to teach demigod children that gorgons could be very dangerous. But apparently here things were different. Not... a single gorgon?

"Gorgons have been coming here from Atlantis since we opened the borders. They say they... like it better here." which was ridiculous, clearly "They are still technically my cousin's subjects, though."

Oh, well that was different she supposed. Not some kinda myth. Some kinda people? Weird.

"I wouldn't know about any of that, I guess. I've only been awake from a really long sleep for a few weeks." She shrugged, trudging up some stairs in slow little hops.

"Don't know why they would want to come here though. This country is full of wealthy, small minded bigots who think they're better than anyone with an X gene. Unless it was worse where you some from." She paused to glance back over her shoulder at the top of the stairs, dark eyes half lidded and brows relaxed in a bored matter.

"I'm gonna set this city ablaze one day. Raze the racist establishments to the ground and give the power back to the people." She was serious. She fully believed her own plan.

Spinning on her heel with a childish little flourish, she headed off down the hall.

"Cmon, this way!"
