The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Richard was comfortable to be around. He was so pleasant and earnest, it made Rebecca feel...nice. He was also admittedly handsome, perhaps not the sort of guy she would have found herself attracted to, but...
Hmm. She might well take up his offer, then. "That's what I love about it. The mysteries of the natural world are endless, and there's always more to see and learn about." She smiled, watching him pay. As much as her instinct was to offer, she figured that if he was willing, then challenging him on it would just add an admittedly-minor conflict to what had otherwise been a lovely meal. A lovely date?
...Maybe. "I agree. This has been fun. Here, let me..." Rebecca pulled out her phone and carefully recited the number. She smiled at him. She was definitely feeling a bit out of her comfort zone. Romance was never a big part of her life, and she wasn't entirely sure that's where this was even going. Uncertainty was a scary position. "We should definitely meet up later. And thank you for inviting me."
Once all that was said and done, Rebecca donned her winter gear once more and scooted out of the restaurant, making sure to wave back at him before leaving. The sharpness of the cold air was still unpleasant, especially compared to the warmth indoors. Still, she was better prepared for it than before, and now she had energy to spare after that lovely lunch with a very charming man.
Wow, he’d pulled it off. Gotten digits – probably real from the way she sounded – and a follow up date. Warlock was impressed! I mean, she could still play the friend card but she didn’t drop any sign of pushing a meet up with friends, casually mentioning seeing anyone else… Nothing like that.
“Hey man, good for you,” he grinned. “I was hoping ‘cause man I didn’t know,” the New York accent – well studied over the last few months – went on. It was a bit Brooklyn. He smiled at the stocky bloke. “You always wonder if you’re accidentally seated next to some blind date or what not. Made a friend though, yeah? Hopefully more?”
He pursed his lips and nodded, impressed. “Whatever the hell soup is or was… Glad more’s on the menu!” he chuckled. “I’m Ryan.”
He. Got. Her. Number. HOT DAMN! "Of course, Rebecca. Be safe out there, and I'll contact you soon." He gave her one last smile before she took her leave. Nice girl. Definitely glad he bumped into her. Their waitress moved to take the last of the used dishes as Rich made to take a leave of his own. He just stared at his phone for a moment before putting it away. It was time to head out and not take out a table at this establishment.
However, before he could stand another man spoke to him. A probable pretty boy supermodel type. But he wasn't going to judge this man too harshly. Even if his statements gave it away that he was eavesdropping. He raised an eyebrow, but softened his expression. At least he was rooting for him. Rich would never turn away someone wanting to be in his corner. Especially if they sounded local. New Yorkers have to stick together.
"Rich. And honestly, I am not sure. She seems very nice, but I was just trying to make a connection after we literally bumped into each other in the park. The soup I had went everywhere, which is where the whole thing came from. Happenstance, really. Much like this."
He chuckled before standing up and making sure he had his wallet, cellphone, etc.
"Either way, I guess I am glad to have made your dinner a little better. I'm heading out. Feel free to tag along, if you need to, but I should be getting back."
