It was hard to think. Or was it not think? One of them was hard, that's about as far as she had gotten. In thinking terms, she'd been walking forever. Well it felt like forever but she just couldn't focus long enough to make a guess.
Needles, she could definitely remember needles. And pain, but that came before right? Or did it come after? Or all at once? It still hurt now. Defining what it was would take while but whatever it was it ached. Not as much as before but sometimes there was a jolt from it.
Stumbling into a lamppost she clung onto it to try and keep herself upright. Everything was just so.....wrong. Nothing fit right in her head anymore but even she knew that there was something really wrong with the city. Had that street always been there, or did that bakery really belong where it was? Someone shoved her hard as they went by and before she knew it she was moving again.
Where was she? A city, obviously and it was familiar but the wrongness was everywhere. Every sign, every shop, every face that was blue or red or.....not a face seemed out of place. Like they shouldn't have been so happy or something. Which felt even weirder that she even thought that but clearly she wasn't thinking straight. Giggling to herself about the understatement and drawing more than one concerned look, she pushed on to.....wherever she was going.
Because she was going somewhere, right? At least, she certainly felt like she was, like something was dragging her forwards. Or pushing her. No, neither seemed right. It was both. At the same time.
Next thing she knew there were gates in front of her. Big ones, fancy too which was nice. There was writing along the top but there was no chance she was reading that with how blurry her vision was getting. That should really be worrying her, right?
Pawing at what she hoped was a buzzer she got a shock when a pleasant voice suddenly interrupted her not thoughts.
"Xaviers school for the gifted." Xaviers, that was familiar. Somewhere in the back of her mind where thoughts were kind of happening telling her that was important but she just couldn't figure out why.
"Erm.....Hi box thingy." If only the damn black spots in her vision would stop moving around so much she'd actually be able to see what she was talking to. "I think, I think I need help." Good thing she got the words out too because she was about 10 seconds away from passing out. "Excuse me dear, I'm just going to........"
