The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She kept quiet and limp as the officer carried her away, remaining so as she was placed down on the ground in a safer area. There were a few others there as well. While the officer tried to gently wake her, she let herself wiggle like jello and kept her breathing steady. SHe just needed then to think she was knocked out, not that she was seriously injured.
It must have worked because after a bit the cop was back up and left her alone. Two other bus occupants have huddled a little ways away. When she felt it was safe, she cracked an eye open for a peek. No one's attention was currently on her. Surprisingly quickly for being prone on the ground a second ago, she got up as soundlessly as she could and blended into the growing crowed of gawkers on the sidewalk. No one stopped her, and she ignored the two people who asked her questions as she slipped past. She headed for an alley close by, tucking her ball cap down a little lower on her face. She was gonna have to change soon after figuring out where she currently was.
But first...
She patted the waistband of her pants where some of the money the robbers had stolen was tucked safely away. First, she was gonna hide this someplace safe and maybe get something to eat! All of that drama and adrenaline had caused her to have the shakes. SHe needed some protein quick!

Saphrius wasn't born yesterday. He knew her situation more than the average joe might; She was homeless, and underage. There were hundreds of places that would take in a girl her age. Considering she was still on the streets, it was probably because she wanted to stay on the streets... Running from someone, maybe? Either way, she was going to try and escape.
Soooo, when she rounded the next corner, he would be there. It wasn't as cool as it looked, considering he'd ben following her from the rooftop, and had chosen the right time to drop down, but all that mattered was what she saw. The costumed super hero leaning there with his arms crossed.
"Goin somewhere?" He asked calmly, looking down at her. "Don't ty and run, I ain't about to try and take you anywhere you don't wanna go... I just wanna talk."
Eisley turned the corner and rank smack into the side of the super cool leaning superhero with his arms crossed.
"AH!"
She staggered back a step and blinked at him owlishly, before turning to look back the way she had come. How had he?! When!?!? Her shocked expression shifted to one of suspicion and she took an extra step away for safe measure.
"... Talk?" Her suspicion doubled. "I gave your ring back. I don't have anything else of yours." She may or may not have taken on a slightly protective stance then, to try and better hide the other items on her person. They may not have been him, but they were still stolen and he was a hero.

He blinked a few times when the girl bumped into him. He expected her to be more careful than that... huh. Oh well...
"Y'tried to take my crowbar, though." Bold, considering the relatively low value of crowbars and the incredible danger she was in at the time. He clearly wasn't offended, though, he said it with a little smile on his face.
He tilted his head when she asked why he would want to talk with her.
"Why not? What are the odds we'd run into each other twice in this big ol city. I figure its some sorta fate at this point. What's your name?"
Her cheeks tinted red at the mention of the crowbar. "I didn't take it fully! You took it back, that doesn't count!" She would defend herself to her dying breath on that point!
"What's a Fate?" The teen blinked again, embarrassed that she didn't know what that word meant for something she heard people say a lot. She squinted at him when he asked her name. "...Tom." She answered finally, after a long pause when she considered giving it to him or not.
She edged a little further around him, giving him a wide berth as she did so, fully intent on shuffling her way toward the exit. "I don't really talk to people much." She eyed her escape route like she was going to make a run for it, but didn't. Eisley just kept edging along slowly, careful not to trip.
"Papa said to be careful who you talk to because not everybody is trustable."

He raised an eyebrow at her saying the crowbar thing didn't count. Really? What was she, twelve? No really, was she 12? He had no idea how to tell.
She asked him what a fate was. He leaned away from the wall into a standing position, and scratched the back of his head, looking up for a moment. Holy s@#$. He blew out of his mouth, letting his cheeks puff up a second. "Eh, I dunno if I'm good at explaining that kinda stuff, I guess. Fate's something that's meant to happen. No matter what."
The veteran X-man crossed his arms, looking down at her, clearly a bit flummoxed after that. "Tom, huh? S'gud to meet you. I'm Saph."
His eyes widened when he heard her say something about papa. "I mean, Papa ain't wrong, but I'm a Super Hero. Not that they are all great, but yeah... i think I'm okay- Hey, you got a dad, though? I, uh, Hey, I thought you were all alone, is all." I mean, clearly if she had a pops he wasn't doing a great job, but that did change things a bit. Part of him was starting to feel just a little responsible for her safety.
Something that's meant to happen? Wasnt... wasn't everything meant to happen? Did that mean things happened that weren't meant to?!
Thought spinning for a moment, she angled her good ear his way and tried to rein her thoughts back in to hear him.
"Super Saph." She nodded to herself, confirming the hero name she had assigned him on the spot. "We already met though... unless... Like... is meeting you not in costume diffetent?"
He had a point about what papa had said, or at least in regards to heroes she supposed. Eisley scrunched her nose up at Saph calling him her dad though.
"Ugh, nope. Papa had a bunch of kids, but he wasn't our dad." She paused, eyes shifting away as she stopped her inchworming toward the exit to stare sorrowfully at a wall. "He died a long time ago, all the kids left so it's just me now."
She was back to eyeing him with suspicion a second later, clearly still not trusting him terribly much.

Super Saph brought him a genuine smile that was a little hard to shake. "Nah, it's not any different, I just wanted to have a real introduction, where we told each other our names. It's important to do that kinda stuff."
He frowned, though, when she mentioned 'papa' wasn't her father, but rather someone who... watched after a bunch of kids for a while? Also, he was dead. So... Great. "You're alone then... out here? Not even hanging out with others?" He'd gotten the impression before, but neede to confirm it. Being alone on the streets of NYC was a scary thought... He'd been there before, but he'd found a group to roll with fairly quickly.
"I'm only askin this stuff because I'm a bit worried for you, is all... It's dangerous out here... I lived on the streets for a long time and I'm big. It was still dangerous for me."
He looked down to her again, gaging her reaction to that. Upon a closer look, she still had shadows under her eyes, skinny... She was probably malnourished.
She wasn't a fan of introductions. They typically ended with someone figuring that they knew better than her, and then trying to take her somewhere whether she wanted to go or not.
Based on what he was saying and asking, her conversation with Super Saph seemed to be heading in the same direction. She shrugged one shoulder at him in response to her not being with any other groups. "I do better on my own."
Her reply was short, vague, and well practiced. She wasn't even upset at him mentioning her size. It was a common thing people brought up to try and trick her.
"Being big doesn't matter. Just makes you more of a target. I fit in small places and I'm faster than most, sometimes I get by fine."
Her whole demeanor had shifted. She was on edge, and it was obvious even to an untrained eye. Still. She was a chold... and sometimes her own brain worked against her.
"Like, just last week someone tried to snatch me, and them me and this other girl broke out, and she had this super weird hole in her stomach where she keeps stuff... but we got away and hid until it was safe."
Not a moment after the words left her mouth she realized that hadn't helped her case at all and she turned suddenly to make her exit.

Yeh, he was losing her. He nodded a bit when she said she did better on her own. Maybe, for a young woman it was rough on the streets... Mosey did fine because of her powers and her friends, but he understood why she tried to stay away from people. She hadn't met any that wouldn't take advantage of her. Was there anyone out here nowadays that didn't suck?
He frowned. "I'm sure being small has it's advantages, but being out here, with no one to watch your back... How often do you get robbed?"
He tried to make sense of what she was saying about the girl with the hole in her, but it was just... way too much. A flight of fancy? Probably not, knowing NYC. Still, he could sense that she was getting stressed, and he was trying to think of how to disarm the situation.
Suddenly, she announced he was leaving and he chimed in quickly. "Holdup, hold up... I told you, I ain't here to take you anywhere you don't wanna go. I just want to talk, okay? Is there any way I can help you?"
Her hackles rose and she bristled. "It's not like it happens every day, okay!?"
She turned a little more when he spoke up again, confused about what he was trying to say. Didn't wanna take her somewhere? Could she trust him? She stopped, good ear aimed at him, and stared accusingly. "They all say that." She muttered, and yet she stayed.
She wanted to trust him... she really did. It was hard to find people to trust in her situation, and it was one of the things she longed for the most. After a moment of silence, she continued.
"I don't understand what you mean." She stated plainly. She had been living like this for so long she didn't know an alternative. "I get along fine, so it's not like I need help."
It wasn't a lie, really. She didn't know any better and her mistrust of people colored her view of foster homes and care facilities. Subconsciously she gripped the wrist that had a scar on it.
"... I mean, uh... you could you get me to my backpack if you want? I left it on 7th a while ago."

She stopped. Good, she wasn't exactly running off just yet. He just wanted to make sure she was... Well... Safe, but that was relative on the streets.
He frowned when she said that they all said that. Who was they? How many people had screwed this girl over to make her so paranoid. "You know I been in your shoes, right? That alley, the one I told you was safe... It was my home for some time."
He gestured to himself. "Now I'm doin this... And I wanna help, is all."
She mentioned her backpack being missing and he sighed. "Well... Let's go get it then. I can at least make sure you are safe in the mean time." He took a step, and then turned toward her, giving her that 'you coming' look.
"I mean, I figured a little... don't know what that has to do with anything." People who lived on the streets and people who didn't anymore could be equally as mean.
He started moving and she rushed to keep up, trying to stay at his side so she could hear him, and moving closer as needed to hear him over the various sounds from the street. If he wasn't gonna try and take to foster, or the cops... why help? What was he getting out of it?
"How did you get out of it?" She asked after a moment, paying attention to the ground and making sure she wasn't stepping on cracks. "Like, how did you get to be Super Saph?"
Because she was focused on him, and watching the ground, she didn't hear or see the small car attempting to pull out of an alley as they stepped in front of it. The driver wasn't paying attention until the last second, looking up just in time to spot them and slam on the breaks. Her head turned in the opposite direction, toward the road, as squealing tires reached her good ear.
