The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Diana was not as inexperienced with woman as Sabine, but she was still trying hard to act confident and playful with Roxie, who clearly knew what she was doing. It was nice to see how Roxie handled her. She felt safe enough taking the risk of being so forward. It was possible Roxie had a dangerous mutation, but she did not have a bad heart. Diana hoped Sabine could take that into account with whatever decisions she made with the mutant.
>> ”Please, don’t apologize, I prefer upfront honesty than trying to navigate it alone. And, really, if any any point that you’re uncomfortable, just tell me. I don’t bite.”
Roxie squeezed Diana’s hand, which was as reassuring as her words. ”Well, don’t rule anything out,” she teased in a breathy whisper, before more genuinely adding, ”And thank you, seriously. Upfront honesty, I can do.” Diana meant it, even if Sabine would make her a liar.
>> ”Would you...care to dance? I think I can break away to share in one.”
Diana looked to the dancefloor. Sabine was not getting conclusive data. No one was starting a fight, so it looked like the night was a wash from an observer’s perspective. Still… Diana was still here, so why let that stop her? Maybe keeping positive contact with Roxie would help Sabine get more chances to observe her further.
Diana would not oppose, of course. She simply smiled and gestured to the dance floor with her free hand, keeping Roxie’s in her other, fingers interlaced. ”Lead the way, hun.”
Roxie knew when the play hard and when to play soft. Diana was a sweetheart and she didn’t want to do anything to make her uncomfortable. Her abilities could be scary, yes, especially with someone who didn’t have control. But Roxie had control. Yes her abilities could wane but she knew the circumstances that can lead to that and, if the night went as she hoped, she knew things would be okay. But she was asking a lot, of someone who had just met her that day.
Still, Diana didn’t seem completely off put. She was nervous but that was to be expected. As she edged closer, Roxie could see the resolution in the woman’s face and a smile drew across her lips. >>”Well, don’t rule anything out...And thank you, seriously. Upfront honesty, I can do.”
Roxie nodded wordlessly. For as much of a horndog as she could be, she wasn’t one to press someone to spend time with her. Usually the second she got the hint of a “No”, she was already moving on. If there was one thing that the bouncer could respect, it was the space of another. But Diana wasn’t requesting “space”. One glance of her eyes and Roxie could tell she was willing to see where the night took her; she was a fan of that.
So why not see? Stepping forward, the brunette observed the dance floor to ensure that everything was fine then turned her earthy gaze back over. She eyed Diana for a few moments, looking from her feet, up past her curves, and to her angelic, yet exotic, face. And then she offered her a dance. The floor looked to be behaving and if management wanted to push her for not doing her job, she could just say she was getting “up close and personal” with the it.
>>”Lead the way, hun.”
Fingers interlaced with her’s and Roxie’s smile on grew wider. She led on, pulling Diana gently away from the bar and towards the dance floor. She waded through the crowd like a boatman on a still lake, parting the people ahead of her. As an energetic song poured through the speakers, Roxie finally managed to punch through the membrane of dancers into a pocket of peace. It was here that she stopped and turned around, facing Diana. She wasn’t aware of the other’s dance style so Roxie started slow, staying close, and moving her hips in beat with the song.
No matter how longer, the dancer in her could never be quelled.
