Personality: Elena is usually fairly reserved, especially in crowds and when meeting new people. Once she becomes comfortable in a situation she can be highly opinionated and stubborn.

Notes (hobbies, phobias, worries, ect.): Elena enjoys books, computers and video games. She has an intense fear of not being able to see because that is when she feels her most helpless.

Everyday clothing: Mostly black and gothy. She usually wears slim fitting clothes that show off her figure while still remaining practical. She is often seen with chains, tall boots, black nail polish and a spiked collar. She is almost never seen without a pair of very dark sunglasses, even during the night.

Description of ability(ies): Void has two black semi-corporeal tendrils made of dark energy that extend out from her hands to a maximum range of about 5 meters. These tendrils have a few properties. First, they are incredibly strong, many times the strength of a normal human. Secondly, they have a paralytic and draining touch. When one of the tendrils wraps around a living target, the target finds it almost impossible to move. This is an uncontrolled effect that occurs regardless of intent, whenever the tendrils touch a living target. As soon as the tendril are removed, the target is freed from this effect. The drain effect, however, is under Void's control. The tendrils, essentially, drain life energy from living targets. Void is also able to see in near total darkness.

Cons (weaknesses) of ability(ies): Aside from her tendrils, Elena has completely normal strength and endurance. In addition, Elena suffers sensitivies to sunlight and other bright light. In natural sunlight she burns extremely easily and in any sort of bright light she finds it difficult to see. Finally, her eyes give away the fact that she is something unnatural. When looking into them it is like looking into the depths of the abyss. The are black orbs of infanent nothingness and she always has to wear dark sunglasses to hide them.

Fighting style (if any): Elena has very little experience fighting.

History of your character: Elena was born into your average middle class household with your average middle class family. Or so she thought. Her parents were still together and happily married after many years and she had one older sister who was her best friend. During her childhood Elena was a bright child and a good student, but not unusually so. She got mostly As and Bs on her report card, rarely got into trouble and, although she wasn't exactly popular, always had at least a few good friends. In fact, the only really unusual aspect of Elena's childhood was the fact that her mother always seemed to know where she was and what she had done, even when Elena could think of know way that her mother could have found out. Although her mother's knowledge was sometimes uncanny, Elena always passed it off as nothing more than her mother being a good and well-informed parent. The idea of her mother being a mutant never crossed her mind.
Around the age of 12 Elena began to grow sensitive to the sun and her eyes began to darken. At first it was nothing serious. She had to wear more sunscreen than she ever had before and had to be more careful about wearing sunglasses or else her eyes would begin to hurt. As the months passed, however, it soon became apparent that the changes were not entirely normal; rather they were the result of Elena being a mutant.
For about a year it seemed that all Elena was going to get for the possession of the X-gene was a couple of physical deformations. However, at the beginning of the 9th grade a group of bullies knocked Elena's sunglasses off her face and saw her eyes. Recognizing her for the mutant that she obviously was, they began beating on her. Suddenly, black tendrils shot out of Elena's hands and wrapped themselves around the neck and torso of two of the assailants. Elena, not really understanding what was happening, through the boys about thirty feet and left them in crumpled heaps upon the ground. She fled in confusion and fear in one direction and the remaining boys fled in the other direction.
Over the next several years Elena began to learn exactly what her powers were and how to control them. She began using her gifts to help people who asked for it, although this happened rarely. Although her mother helped her to learn what she was and what she could do, her mother still did not admit that she, herself, was also a mutant.
Just days after her 18th birthday Elena's mother came to her and told her about her own mutant nature and abilities as a seer. She also informed her daughter that she knew that there were a group of individuals hunting Elena who would come by their house in only a few hours and that if Elena was there when they arrived they would take her. Elena was told to leave and seek out those who might be able to help her. She was then given a few hundred dollars and sent on her way with a hug and a kiss.
