PLOT

Find your safe Haven; Build one for Others. This is Haven’s creed. Members of Haven are vanguards: leaders of growth, development, and new ideas. They advance the world by way of a society and its people. They fund, they encourage, they teach, and they fight for what they believe in.

Safe Haven demands action, demands we build for the future. Between government antiimmigration and antimutant legislation as well as the actions of SUPER and the needs of those trapped after the closure of the RIFT, Haven takes public and private faction action to combat these issues.

SETTING

Haven announces firm support for mutants and mutant rights, specifically mutant outreach, education, and training. Hadden’s Havens and Haven also announce clearly defined mutant supporting programs including facilities work. Haven makes public programs specific to using its reach, funding, talents, and training for the betterment of a safe haven. This includes Adapted with medical training to assist mutants struggling with new manifestation, sponsored aid to immigrants trapped from the other side of the rift, assisting immigration for those seeking refuge (including religious or mutant persecution), and renewed focus on civil and mutant rights. As part of this announcement SUPER activities are noted as targeting mutants outside of their rights, which Haven is continuing to combat through government action.

Privately the Haven faction members are given direction to gather information related to this government activity, to explicitly save mutants from any SUPER or antimutant groups, and combat other threats to the safety of their safe haven.

HOW THIS AFFECTS MRO

Haven gets new attention for its new mutant initiatives that while the private sector and local/liberal groups support, conservative and federal government does not as it runs counter to their goals. Mutants may not all like to hear Adapted are employed to assist new mutants in their growth/training. SUPER (and perhaps Weapon X in the future) becomes a target for Haven members and vice versa. SYNDICATE may become tense allies in dire situations. The X-Men become closer allies but suspicion builds of Haven activities.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

The public aspect of Haven threads can include:

“Teach” : working with the government or public relations on immigration (religious or mutant)
“Train” : helping mutants having their first ability manifestation
“Train” : training new mutants, continued work at Sanctuary
“Support” : meeting/helping those in need trapped from the other side of the rift / overseas.
“Work with Them” : Adapted working at Haven or Hadden’s Havens. Not every mutant likes Adapted…

The private faction Haven threads should include:

“Save” : activities to save mutants in need from SUPER or antimutant groups. This can be a lead into Weapon X threads as well, but Weapon X is not as yet a known identity to Haven. Please see rules for that plot.
“Train” : train new faction recruits in rigorous combat or utility need
“Support” : combat threats to public safety such as riots, natural disasters; possibly can involve X-Men so engage there where possible
“Learn” : discussions with Haven leadership on new information related to the rift, SUPER, Weapon X, government activity
“Work with Them” : opportunities to work with the Syndicate to solve an antimutant problem, even if parties disagree on exacts ‘means to the end’; engage there where possible

Participants: Any X-Men or Haven (public org or faction member publicly involved in Haven) members would be invited. Other individuals could have snuck in, be working catering or staff, etc. This is mostly meant for those present to give solo post reactions. Conversations and other long threads if necessarily should be split off from it.

Hey guys and gals, I hope you're as pumped for this plot as I am!

Here's the deal, I want to push Jack to Inner Echelon, badly-- and this plot feels like the perfect opportunity to do so!!

I think Jack would be very well-suited for a rescue mission. I just am not good at/don't typically enjoy solos. SOOOO if you would like your character to be either be part of the rescue mission (rescuer with Jack or rescued by Jack and co.) hmu.

I could see the partner being either a possibility for IE or someone already belonging to IE and therefore scouting Jack while working with her. > w > *elbows people already in IE*
