The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was one o'clock in the morning. It was time. Capping out at roughly two dozen students, the group convened at the basketball courts. A few words were spoken, then they all spread out throughout the Mansion grounds. Their objective? Senior prank the Mansion, of course.
Clad in a black sweatsuit with a large bag of toilet paper rolls in hand, Glitch followed a few others to the Mansion's garden. Her excitement could hardly be contained.
"Guys," she spoke with a loud whisper. "Get the statues." She let out a giggle as she tied a nice toilet paper bow around the lion statue's neck. The reactions of the teachers, staff, and so on were going to be priceless!

To be totally honest, Luke was a little apprehensive at first.
He wasn't against senior prank or anything, especially when it had the potential to be a lot more problematic, like, with the superpowers and such. The classic TP scenario? That was no problem.
Really, Luke was worried he'd mess it up by coming along. Like, dark clothes could only do so much when he had white fur, right? And he wasn't so great at stealth, either, so he didn't want to get them caught. He didn't wanna be that guy, or anything.
So far, things were going okay. He had his concerns, yeah, but he also had an advantage--being the lookout. With his super-senses, Luke had a good shot at picking up signs of people coming out before they got there. The mansion garden was now covered in long strips of white padded hygiene paper.
"Hey Glitch." Luke whispered loudly towards the ringleader, "Watch this." Rearing back, Luke sent one roll flying, all the way across the garden, almost to the woods. He grinned at her proudly, then paused, and said, " Wait, do you have any more rolls?"
He held up both hands, empty, and shrugged sheepishly.
So far, so good. The garden was rapidly gaining a coat of white. No sign of any adults that would interrupt their fun – nor tattling classmates.
She turned to see the roll carreening across the garden, thanks to Luke's strong throw. "Nice." Two thumbs went up. "Oh yeah, we've got plenty. Catch." Laughing softly, she lobbed the roll to Luke.
She weaved her way through a row of bushes, immune to their prickly leaves. The white squares were strung through them as if they were Christmas lights. With that, she'd used up the remainder of her roll. "How're we doing?" she asked Luke. "Hear anyone?"

Okay, good, Glitch really came prepared. He caught the roll one handed and tossed it upwards, watching it drop and bounce while leaving a white ribbon suspended in a branch.
He looked back at her and grinned. Of course, he needed to stay at least a little alert. It wasn't like, his responsibility, but if Luke could help it they'd know if they were blown.
"Nope, nothing...wait." Luke paused, ears pricked at attention at the sound of a distant thud. He instinctively assumed an alert stance, head forward and shoulders back, trying to notice any additional sounds. It sounded like a door slamming, if anything. No footsteps, or any further noises, and he relaxed.
"Nevermind, think we're good. Probably just a bathroom door." Luke scratched the back of his head behind his ears sheepishly. He didn't want to seem too on-edge, but it was better to be prepared.
Most of the section of garden was now a tangled forest of two-ply. Luke looked to Glitch. "This looks good. Where next?"
Glitch went silent, listening. There were no sounds that she could make out, but Luke's hearing was far better than hers. "Phew." She relaxed. False alarm. Idly, she brushed off a few of the leaves that were sticking to her clothes. Hands on her hips, she stepped back and admired the group's handiwork. "Wow, I didn't think we'd cover the garden so fast."
She turned to address the entire group. "Okay everyone, next on the list is the entrance gate. Watch out for the sensors." It was nigh impossible to get a list of all of the Mansion's security measures, but the robot girl was aware of some motion sensors around the area. The staff really didn't want intruders.

It was good that Glitch had things organized. As much as this was a bout of troublemaking, it would be bad if they got off-track and smashed a window with a TP roll or something.
Leading the way towards the front gate, Luke kept up his sentry watch, now also listening for surveillance stuff. If they beeper or whirred, he could pick that up, though it wasn't always easy. Sticking to the front, he led the party along a path that, as far as he could tell, was all clear.
Now at the expansive front lawn, Luke put his hands on his hips and gave one more look around. "There's a couple somethings near the gate itself, probably watching the entrance there. Like..." He focused for a moment, then turned back to Glitch. "I hear a camera, whirring, I think it's turning?"
He looked back across the lawn, tilting his head to seek out any more sounds. Unfortunately, there were apparently crickets here, and the faint chirping was drowning out the minute sounds of electronics. "I dunno what else. Sorry." He shrugged, a sheepish expression on his face.
Crap. Cameras. Go figure, the Mansion did everything in its power to protect the mutant students. "Mhm... Okay, we'll keep our distance. Let's not get taped." Sure, the staff could probably figure out it was them, but what fun was a prank if you didn't get to try stealth?
She retreated further up the lawn, away from the gates. "At least we can get these trees." She gestured to a row of short, full pines. “Just like Christma-AH!”
A loud hissing noise startled her. The next thing she knew, water was spraying everywhere, all over much of the group. Crap. Robots didn't like water. Glitch immediately bolted for dear life to the path.
“Sprinklers,” she grumbled. An overreaction, for sure.

Christmas trees, huh? That was fun, and as good a target as anything. Keeping away from the gates, Luke followed Glitch, still trying to keep his senses alert.
Once they stopped by the trees, Luke paused. There was a new sound now, closer but quiet, and he wasn't sure what it was. It sounded like...water? Wait, crap-
Luke made a high-pitched yelp as cold water sprayed from behind him, quickly soaking through his shirt and into his fur even as he rushed after Glitch. He shook some droplets from his head; as far as things to accidentally trigger on the X-Men's property, sprinklers were hardly the worst, but was annoying to have to dry off for it, and it took a while.
Also there was something mushy in his hand. He lifted it and looked at his palm, and realized that he'd been holding a roll of paper which was now a blob of dripping ex-paper. He frowned at it.
"That wasn't great." Luke glanced at Glitch. She looked okay, and it wasn't that much water, but he didn't want this to turn into a trip to the infirmary. Or, wherever she'd need to go for repair. Not the point!
“Phew.” Glancing over herself, Glitch was relieved to find she'd escaped the worst of the sudden water attack. “I'm glad I was wearing sweats.” She eyed the sopping wet roll Luke was holding. “Gross. It looks like a giant spit wad.”
Then it hit Glitch. What about the rest of the supply?
To the robot girl's dismay, one of the packs was also completely soaked. “Nuts.” She tried unrolling one of them, but it came apart in her hands. It was no good for wrapping. She turned back to Luke. “Paper mache time?” she joked. On the bright side, there were other packs that had been spared.

"Agh." Luke flung the blob of ex-paper onto the grass, shaking water off his hand. He wrinkled his brow, water dripping onto his forehead, and shook his head to keep droplets out of his ears.
"Okay, so..." Luke looked around at the remainder of the raid party. "Where to next?"
Luke wasn't really sure there was much else to get, but he might as well give Glitch final say-"Wait." He paused. There was a distant thump...then another...a louder one..."Someone's coming." Luke hissed, trying to determine the direction of the sound.
...Coming down the main hallway, towards the front door..."Someone heard the sprinklers I think. Let's go." The sound of one of the doors began to click, loud enough that even people without Luke's hearing could probably pick it up.
After a moment to make sure everyone else was clear on moving out, Luke booked it, dropping to all fours for speed and to make himself less visible.
