The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Emma, and Squirrels, and Feeling...Oh My!(Zoe, Blaine)
He nodded at the introductions and advice. It seemed as though he had everything in order, but decided not to tell them about the little incident with the cheesecake that almost set the apartment on fire. That was why his niece refused to be in the building while he cooked; though, with her tendency to have...explosive emotions, maybe that was for the best.
Then, the woman mentioned sparring, and he shook his head. "I could train you, but I don't spar with just anyone. I don't know how to pull my punches, and I don't want to hurt anyone," he said, keeping his mutation to himself for now. "But the gym's really hard to miss," he said as he jotted the address and name of the gym down on a scrap of paper before giving it to her.
Then, he turned, heading to the checkout line to prepare his hopefully-not-bad meal.
Zoe was shocked when Emma asked about sparring with Blaine. Emma was shorter than Zoe was, and Blaine was huge, both in height and muscles. What was Emma thinking when she asked to spar with him? At least Blaine turned her down for that, so Zoe didn’t have to worry about her new friend getting hurt.
And then after passing over a piece of paper, Blaine was heading to the front of the store. After taking a quick glance in her own basket, Zoe looked up at Emma. ”I should be heading home too,” she said to the other woman. ”Especially if we’re going to meet up later, I have a lot of stuff I want to get made up before hand.”

Emma nodded and told Zoe, "Yeah, I should get going too. I'll text ya later to see where ya wanna meet. I gotta catch up to Blaine and see about him training me. I miss my kickboxing classes."
Emma then quickly ran ahead of Zoe so as to catch up with Blaine. She had more questions to ask him. Like if he would train her and how to reach him so they could train together. Emma ran from the back of the store with her arms full, trying not to drop anything while she scouted Blaine out from amongst the people.
Emma finally spotted him and ran up to him. Her hand tingling steadily, but she paid it no mind. She was trying to get his attention before he left. She placed her hand on the middle of his back, thinking that he would feel it, pause for a second and turn to see that she had touched him. But that was not the case. By that time, her hand had stopped tingling, but she then started to pat at his back. Still no response from him. That was really weird. Most people would have felt someone touching their back and turned to see who it was.
Finally, she called out to him, "Hey Blaine, you didn't feel me patting your back to get your attention? I was gonna ask you a few more questions about training and how we could reach each other to meet, but you left. That is if you wouldn't mind training me, that is?" Emma hoped that he would agree to train her. She really did need to get back into her daily workouts. So far she had been stuck doing her yoga inside the apartment, but she knew she really wanted to maybe visit Central Park sometime and practice her yoga there.
Blaine made his way back through the store and to the checkout line, now just focused on going home so he could attempt to surprise his girlfriend with a home-cooked meal. She'd be so impressed if he got this right. But if he didn't...well, she'd love him anyway, and then they'd order a pizza because her morning sickness still wasn't letting her have Chinese food. Who knew unborn babies could be so picky?
Obviously, he didn't feel the hand on his back, nor did he feel the patting. He did hear the voice, and he jumped with a start before turning around to look at her. "Nope. Honestly you could stick a knife in my back and I wouldn't notice. I can't feel," he said with a shrug, as if it was no big deal at all. And to him, it really wasn't. And at this point, he really didn't care who knew about his mutation.
And then she was going back on about the gym. "I might be willing to teach you a few things," he said, giving her his number. "Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are my usual gym days."

Emma listened as Blaine spoke. But what he said made sense and yet confused her. He couldn't feel. Anything. So that was why he didn't feel her pats. But did that also ring true for other things? If so, then that would suck for relational affections. Not feeling your partners touch or kisses or anything. But based on his demeanor about cooking and the things he got, he definitely had someone so he must have it worked out somehow. He was trying to show off to his girl or guy by cooking for him/her. Emma nodded and said, "I'm sorry if I startled you."
And now that she thought about it, that's what he meant with not sparring with her and couldn't pull punches. He couldn't tell how hard he was hitting. But that would also mean he couldn't tell when he was hurt or sick. His inability to feel seemed interesting and yet horrible to deal with in day to day life.
Emma graciously took his number and made note of when he'd be there. "I can't wait to train with you. Hopefully, I can learn ---", she was saying to Blaine when suddenly the groceries she was holding in her arms fell to the floor. Emma scrambled to try and catch them, but failed to do so and during that moment her outstretched hands suddenly felt like that had released something toward Blaine. She didn't know what happened, but if felt just like what happened when her dad turned into a cat. But Blaine was still standing there. No cat or anything. Still just as human. She didn't say anything because she didn't know what to tell him. Now, she guessed she would have to follow him to see what she did to him.
"I'm sorry. I guess I had too much in my arms to try and carry all at once. I was trying to say that I hope I can learn a lot from you. I really enjoyed the classes I took. I guess I'll see you soon in the gym. Thanks, Blaine." Emma said as she began to gather her items from the floor.
Blaine paid for his items, then looped the bags on one arm. And then in mid sentence, she dropped hers. With a slight chuckle, he leaned down to help, picking up the items and setting them on the counter. "I'll see you then," he said with a smile as he turned to walk out the door. But before he got to the door, he had to put some of the bags on his other arm; they were heavy and starting to cut into his arm--wait...The air was cold, on his face, and his hair slightly tickled his face when he moved his head.
He'd felt this sensation only twice before, both times when an Adapted was in the room, but as he walked outside...there was no particular person within any sort of range for that long. And yet...he could still feel. It was odd. And then there was the murmuring. It didn't sound...human...but every now and then he heard...voices?
'Ey, dis is my bread now. He looked over as a crow took a bread crumb from a pigeon. He continued down the street...what. The hell.
Something happened, but he didn't know what was going on. But screw the talking animals. He could feel. And he didn't know for how long. Picking up the pace, he briskly walked down the street towards his apartment.

Emma paid for her few items and thankfully they put them in a cold items bag. This would help keep them cold while she was on her way home--I mean tailing Blaine to see just what the heck she did to him. Emma saw him through the door look curiously at the crow and pigeon on the ground and then start to walk off, kinda briskly.
Emma walked out the door and saw the direction that Blaine was walking in. She hurriedly took off in that same direction, carrying all her bags. What did she think that today would have been a good day for this again? Oh, right because she thought she would have at least gotten to go home to drop off her groceries before this happened, but not today. Emma really needed to learn how to control this thing. Or just give up caring and you get whatever you get and she goes on about her day.
Emma finally managed to close the gap some that had grown between her and Blaine. She needed to get close enough to hear if he said anything, but enough distance to not notice her. Maybe he would let her know something soon. Emma tried to keep up with him as best as she could. He had some really big strides and he was walking pretty quickly. To where, she didn't know, but she would find out.
It was...strange to say the least...as he walked, turning into an alley. Where he heard a dog taunting a cat. What. The. Hell. "Feeling is neat...but why the hell are animals talking?" he grumbled, shaking his head. But that didn't really matter right now. He could feel and he planned on taking advantage of that. And hopefully this time, Skye wouldn't be home.
Pulling out his phone, he dialed a very familiar number. "Hey, Babe. I'm on my way to the apartment. Meet me there; I can suddenly feel, don't know how long it'll last," he said before hanging up.

Emma kept following him, even as he turned into the alley. She saw the dog and cat there and then heard Blaine say something about animals talking and him suddenly feeling now. So that's what Zoe could do. She could talk to animals. And it must have overrode Blaine's thing where he couldn't feel cuz he said he could feel now.
"Huh? So that's what I can do. I can take one person's power thing and give it to someone else. I must be able to like copy it after I touch someone. And the tingle in my hands tells me who has powers I can copy. And I must be able to give it to them if my hands are toward them? I didn't touch Blaine when he got it, but he was in front of my hands when it felt like something left from them. But now I have to figure out for how long. Or at least try to.", Emma thought to herself.
Blaine made a phone call and it was to his girlfriend. From his conversation, he was going to his place and because he could suddenly feel, that meant he would want some alone time with his girl. Maybe Emma could figure out another way to see how long her powers lasted for someone. She definitely was not gonna eavesdrop on them.
Emma gave up on following Blaine any further and found her way home. Emma was glad cuz those bags were getting heavy. She put her groceries up on the counter and then went to talk with her Mom to tell her all the great things she got earlier. Then, she told her Mom that she would make her dinner. Emma then came back to the kitchen and started washing the veggies and prepping everything she needed to get the veggie lasagna started. She also remember about meeting Zoe later, quickly wrote down her Mom's tomato sauce recipe on paper and stuck it in her jacket pocket for when she went out later.
