The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Warm Fuzzy Feelings and Those Aren't Butterflies (Lee)
Blaine smiled as he lay back on the bed; he had really grown to enjoy times like this. Sure, he didn't get the same thing out of hugging, kissing or anything else that Lee did--or that anyone else would, for that matter. For him, it was just the closeness, the fact that he had someone. Just months before, he felt he was never going to have anything remotely like this. And now they were going to be a family.
"I love you too," he murmured back as he looked into her eyes.
**Fade to Black**
Blaine snuggled up to Lee a little, one arm wrapped around her, his hand resting on her back. Today definitely didn't go as planned, but he did like every little twist and turn it took.
He stifled a yawn; he'd fallen asleep around her once and only once before, and that was something he still wasn't totally comfortable with. Mostly, he was paranoid, scared that he might somehow hurt her in his sleep. But she had proven to him that she wasn't as fragile as she may seem.
Hell, today was full of surprises. Maybe today would be the day for that, too.
Lee was dozing in Blaine’s arms, her head resting on his shoulder, as they lay there in bed. For the first time in her life, she didn’t feel like she was going to bounce off the walls or burst out of her skin because of the energy she had after so much contact. After being cuddled together watching the movies, and then the contact they’d had since leaving Skye to sleep in the living room, Lee shouldn’t have been able to sleep for hours at the very least, more likely until the next day.
And yet she was dozing because she was tired. Because she still hadn’t started siphoning again.
Then Blaine shifted slightly, and Lee startled back awake, her eyes popping open as she realized what was happening. Even with everything she had going on in her life, everything that she was doing each day, she had figured out a workable, consistent time to sleep, so Blaine had never seen her crash. He’d also never seen her first thing after she’d woken up yet, their schedules just didn’t allow for that.
But it was going to happen now. Opening her eyes that had slipped closed again, Lee looked up at Blaine. ”Wake me up in 8 hours?” Lee asked softly, probably sounding a little tired. ”Just...don’t let me sleep too long?”
"Sure thing, Babe," he murmured quietly as he looked over at her. As her eyes closed, he looked at her, and he had to smile. He watched her for awhile as he lay there, listening to her breathing. She was so beautiful, so....perfect. And she was going to have a baby. His baby...He couldn't stop the grin, but then he had to yawn.
He found himself growing drowzy, and he slid a little bit away from her, rolling onto his side as he drifted off to sleep. As he slept, he scooted closer to her, rolling over and snuggling with her, snoring lightly.
Time passed and his eyes slowly opened, he was still snuggling up to her, and he had to smile, taking in the look of this. It was something he could get used to it.
”Thanks…” Lee murmured even as her eyes were slipping closed again. She knew that she should be worried about the fact that she hadn’t started siphoning again yet, but the fact was that falling asleep in Blaine’s strong arms like this this felt incredibly nice. And if she were to start siphoning right then, there was no guarantee she would fall asleep because she was out of practice.
But it really didn’t take long for her breathing to slow and even out as she fell fully asleep, her head still resting on Blaine’s shoulder until he moved away.
At some point while she slept, her siphoning started again. And, being able to feel even subconsciously where Blaine was, Lee’s hand reached out to touch him. And when Blaine moved closer to her, Lee snuggled into him, still asleep, her head finding it’s way to rest on Blaine’s shoulder once again.
When Blaine woke up, Lee didn’t even notice, she just continued to sleep eyes closed, breathing softly, completely comfortable.
He looked at the clock, she still had a couple of hours left, but she did say not to let her sleep for more than eight...she didn't say it had to be exactly eight. Though as he looked back over at Lee like that...she was beautiful. And she loved him. Him of all people. How something like that came to be really baffled his mind, but it was like they were made for each other.
And he actually managed to sleep for a few hours next to her. Maybe he really didn't have anything to worry about. If anything, he'd only snuggled closer to her in his sleep; he only wished he could actually feel how she felt against him. Realize what exactly it was that made her shudder the way she did. But alas....that wasn't to be.
Leaning in, he very gently kissed her lips, as his hand ran up and down her back. He wasn't necessarily trying to wake her, but if that was a side effect of being affectionate, so be it.
Lee was asleep. It was dreamless, but calm and relaxed. And then she started to feel energy from beside her. Not even close to being properly awake yet, she didn’t have the energy or caffeine for that, the small part of her mind that was conscious was hoping that Kevin would just go watch TV or something. She didn’t even smell her coffee yet.
But then Lee felt something touching her back, moving up and down, and something else touching her lips, the energy flowing into her through the touches. Making a small noise, not wanting to wake up, a small crease formed between Lee’s still closed eyes. But the energy flowing into her wasn’t helping with her desire to stay asleep, and the touch on her back was tickling a bit, causing her to squirm slightly.
Finally, though, Lee’s brain woke up enough to actually realize that the touches she was feeling was a hand running up and down her back and a kiss. For just another moment Lee was confused. Then she remembered through the haze of sleep still covering her mind, that she had actually fallen asleep beside Blaine. A small, sleepy smile curling her lips, Lee started to return the kiss, a hand reaching out toward him.
He may not have felt the kiss being returned, but he'd learned what to look for, and her movement told her she was awake. He knew she was returning the kiss as her arm reached toward him. After a moment, he broke the kiss and looked into her eyes.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked, smiling softly. "You know what though? I....I think I can be okay with this sharing a bed thing. I mean...it takes me longer to fall asleep, but once I do pass out...I don't think it's so bad," he said, looking at her. His arms were still wrapped around her, and he held her there, not really wanting to leave.
In fact, he wouldn't mind staying like this for awhile.
After far too short of a time for her liking, Blaine was pulling away from the kiss, but at least he left his arms around her. Opening her eyes, Lee saw him smiling at her, and returned it if a little sleepily. And then he asked if she slept well. Lee simply shrugged. ”I’m not sure about the sleep, but the falling asleep and waking up were very nice,” Lee said softly. The good news about being so close to Blaine was that she was at least waking up faster than she normally did.
As Blaine continued to speak, Lee’s smile widened as she looked at Blaine. ”You actually stayed and slept here with me?” Lee asked, a little surprised. Leaning forward, Lee gave Blaine a soft kiss. ”I knew there would be nothing to worry about, but I’m so happy you’ve realized that.
He smiled a little more, nodding. "I did. I mean...I mostly just lay here with you for awhile, but I did finally doze off for a couple hours. It was nice. Even though I couldn't feel you there, I still knew you were. It was...rather comforting, actually."
He gave a chuckle. "It is amazing, but being with you is amazing in itself." After that rather cheesy line, he leaned in and gave her another kiss, one hand moving to gently brush the hair out of her face.
Lee just continued to lay there, looking at Blaine with a happy smile on her face. Smiling wider when Blaine explained how he had actually dozed off for a while, and said that it was nice. As far as Lee was concerned, that was a bit of an understatement, but Lee was still glad that Blaine had enjoyed it.
Lee had been talking about how going to sleep together, how waking up and seeing Blaine first thing was amazing. But as he continued speaking, Lee blushed slightly. Despite everything they had said, everything they’d done, everything that had happened in the previous two months, even just that very day, Lee couldn’t stop the blush from covering her cheeks. Before she was able to say anything, though, Blaine was leaning in to kiss her again.
Lee’s hand reached up, fingers sliding into Blaine’s hair, holding his head to hers as she kissed him back. When they finally broke apart, Lee grinned at Blaine. ”So, does this mean it’s something you’d be willing to try again?”
It was moments like this that meant the world to Blaine: moments that he thought he'd never be able to have. Maybe that was why their relationship progressed so quickly. He thought he'd need to ease into it, and to an extent, he did, but once he was sure she was sticking around...he couldn't help it. He always saw himself as more of a hardened tough guy, but the fact was maybe she hadn't turned him into a teddy bear. Maybe the soft, gentler side of him was buried deep down, all along, and Lee just dug it up.
He looked into her eyes as she spoke, and he nodded. "Yeah, it would be," he murmured quietly, his hand that had brushed her hair away resting on her cheek as he smiled softly.
Hearing Blaine’s words, Lee just grinned wider than she had been before. ”Good,” Lee said, turning her face into the hand Blaine was resting on her cheek. ”Because now that we’ve done this, I’m definitely going to want to do this again. And again.” Lee lifted her head at this point, leaning in to kiss Blaine softly. ”Every night we’re able to, I’m thinking.”
