The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Maybe in another life, I could find you there (Jason)
After Jason hung her coat up, she followed him into the sitting area. Seeing him kick his shoes off, Lee bent over, unzipping her boots and slipping them off quickly thanks to lots of practice.
By the time she had set her boots aside and straightened up, Jason said to make herself comfortable. So Lee made her way over to the love seat and sat down on one side. Then Lee looked over to see Jason fiddling with the stereo, and a few moments later, he had some music playing.
Lee sat and listened for a moment while looking over at Jason. ”Good song” Lee said after a moment.

Smiling, he walked over and sat on the love seat next to Lee. "I was hopin' you would; most of what I listen to is rock, but since we both like the music at the bar, I figured this would be alright. Though, I'm not sure what I'd have done if you didn't like music at all," he said with a small shrug as he wrapped an arm around her, that hand idly running through her hair for a moment.
Some may have frowned on this, but he liked to hang out a little, even after he got them home. After all, it was nice to at least know a little bit about someone first. Then again, the one night stand life had sort of chosen him, due to the implications of his job, his dedication to it, or like most times, he just never heard from them again.
Shaking the negative thoughts aside, he looked into her eyes with that charming smile, before bringing his lips to meet hers again; this time letting the kiss linger a little while. It still wasn't very suggestive; starting off very soft and sweet.
Lee shook her head slightly when she heard Jason say he wasn't sure what he would have done if she didn't like music. Then she felt his fingers in her hair as his arm wrapped around her shoulders. ”I don't even know how it's possible to not like music,” Lee said. And she really didn't. Not liking a particular type of music was one thing, but not liking music in general?
The way that his hand was running through her hair, causing it to move over her shoulders, made Lee shiver slightly.
He'd been quiet for a few moments, though, so Lee glanced over at Jason just in time to see his smile before he leaned in.
And the kiss was nice, really nice. As very different from what Lee was used to when she went home with guys. Those kisses tended to be far more active, hungrier, for what was to come, and Lee was fine with that since that's the reason she would go home with them in the first place. But this… This was almost sweet, tender.
As she was returning the kiss, Lee's body turned slightly on the couch toward Jason, one hand moving up to the back of his neck.

He smiled behind the kiss, shuddering lightly as he felt her hands on the back of his neck, those little hairs almost standing on end. His one hand tangled in her hair as his other wrapped around her, pulling her closer.
He was sure he wasn't like the other guys she'd gone home with, but that was okay. Besides, he'd gotten this far by just being himself, so he wasn't going to change that now.
His grip in her hair tightened slightly as his other hand ran his fingers lightly up and down her back.
Lee felt Jay’s shudder under her hand as they kissed. Then she felt his arm wrapping around her body, pulling her closer to him. And his other hand was suddenly in her hair.
Lee moaned against Jason’s lips as she felt his hand closing into a fist in her hair, holding her head close to his. Diving into the kiss more, Lee’s hand that wasn’t on Jason’s neck lifting to clutch at his shoulder. Her heart beating fast in her chest.
Then she felt Jason’s fingers moving up and down her back. She shivered again as she felt her breathing catch in her throat.

His heart was already pounding inside of his chest as the kiss became deeper and more passionate. He kept his grip in her hair, his hand sliding up her top, slowly pushing it up.
But then he found a problem. Not wanting to stop just yet, he just continued kissing her. When he did finally pull away, he quickly untied her halter top and pulled it over her head before making quick work of his own shirt. In the process, he revealed the wolf tattoo on his left shoulder and the two greyscale fish circling on his chest.
Another soft moan against Jason’s lips as she felt his hand slip under the bottom edge of her shirt, his fingers on her bare back as he pushed her shirt up.
And then he was pulling away from the kiss, and for a moment Lee was disappointed. At least until she felt him pulling her shirt off. Then Jason took his own off, and Lee was pleasantly surprised to see the tattoos. Smiling, Lee reached her hands out, lightly tracing her fingers over the tattoos. ”I wasn’t expecting these,” Lee whispered before letting her arms circle around him again, pulling him close to her for another kiss.

Jason shuddered again as her hands traced his tattoos. "I guess I'm just full of surprises then, ain't I?" he asked with a sly smirk as she pulled him closer, kissing him again.
His own breath caught as his heart raced in his chest again. One hand let his fingers dance along her lower back as his other hand once again found her hair, running through it gently before tangling in it then closing his fist in it again as he deepened the kiss.
”Oh, you are,” Lee mumbled against Jason’s lips even as she started kissing him. Lee’s hands clung to Jason’s shoulders holding them close together, and she almost melted against him even as she shivered feeling his fingers moving along her back.
And then his hand was in her hair again, gripping, holding her head to his. Lee’s heart felt like it stopped for a second before it started racing. And she couldn’t catch her breath.
Moving one hand from Jason’s shoulder up to the back of his head, her fingers moving into his hair. And then Lee was leaning back slowly, hands holding Jason close to her.

*Fade to Black*

Jay lay on the bed, snuggling up to Lee a bit as his heart was still fluttering in his chest. His arm wrapped around her, pulling her closer as he got comfortable. And then...the sun streamed through the window, nearly blinding him as he muttered a few uncharacteristic curses, shielding his face. Pulling out his phone, he looked at the clock, then let out a sigh as he gave Lee a soft kiss on the cheek, then rolled out of bed, pulling on a pair of boxers and some jeans before making his way to the kitchen, starting the coffee pot and then pulling out a bowl, a couple of pans, and various ingredients.
In several minutes, he had pancakes and bacon going on the stove as he fixed his first cup of coffee. It was looking to be a long day, seeing as he had work to do later and no time to sleep, but...well, he'd be okay. Besides, he couldn't say it wouldn't be worth it, after all. "How do you take your coffee?" he called from the kitchen as he finished making the pancakes, and half of his first cup.
Then, he topped off his cup before handing her a cup of her own, along with a plate of bacon and pancakes. Then, he grabbed his cup of coffee and a plate of his own, sitting on a stool by the counter. "Enjoy~"
As Lee had been leaving the bar the night before, she had been hoping for an early night, figuring that with the beer, and then the activities once they got back to his place, that he would have fallen asleep and she would have been able to leave.
But that’s not what had happened. In fact, the sun was starting to come up, and she was still laying in bed, head on Jason’s shoulder. And strangely, she didn’t mind. It had been a good night, a very enjoyable night. Lee was very glad that she hadn’t turned Jason down right away as she had been about to do at the bar.
Then the sun came fully through the window, shining directly on the bed, and Jason started cursing. Lee just bit her lip to keep from laughing as he reached for his phone. A moment later, he was rolling out of bed and pulling pants on after giving her a kiss on the cheek.
That was another thing that Lee definitely was not used to, those sweet, tender little touches and kisses that Jason kept giving her. Lee was never still there in the morning to have found out if any other guys she had been with would do something like that. Or the amount of talking they had done. Though she couldn’t stand stupidity, she never talked that much with guys.
Rolling onto her side, a small contented smile on her face, Lee watched Jason with slight confusion as he moved around the apartment. She didn’t know what he was doing until she could smell coffee brewing and hear bacon sizzling on the stove. Was he making breakfast? Pushing herself up on her elbow to get a better look, she smiled a little wider as she realized that yes, it appeared Jason was.
What was she supposed to do, Lee wondered as her bottom lip found its way between her teeth. She was always long gone before this point, there was no reason to stay.
Except that she had stayed.
And the coffee and bacon did smell good.
Rolling out of bed herself, Lee looked around for her clothing. That was going to be too much work at the moment. Plus, if she wasn’t leaving right away, there wasn’t a rush to get back into them. ”Just black,” Lee answered Jason’s question as she grabbed his shirt from where it had ended up on the floor, pulling it on and doing a couple buttons up before she made her way to the kitchen.
And as she reached him, Jason was handing her a plate with bacon and pancakes along with a cup of coffee. Lee just looked at him in surprise for a moment before moving to sit beside him at the counter. ”Thanks,” she said softly before taking a sip of coffee.

Jason couldn't help but smile as he looked over at her; she was nothing like the other women he'd brought home. But then again, the first time he'd laid eyes on her, he could tell there was something different about her. They'd stayed up til sunset, which was odd in of itself, but he had to admit the talking was rather nice; they'd talked about music, their home towns--though he never revealed anything about his past--and he'd even shared a few of his funniest work related stories, like the time an old lady paid him good money to follow her dog around all day. And now...she was wearing his shirt, sitting next to him as he made her breakfast. They never stayed for breakfast.
Though a part of him wondered if he could get more action by advertising that there'd be free food the next morning.
"You're welcome," he said, smiling over at her, "After...that...there's no way I'm sending ya home on an empty stomach." Jason gave her a sly wink before sipping his coffee and starting on his breakfast. "Though, I do have to say my shirt looks damn good on you~"
Taking a sip of her coffee as she sat down, at least he knew how to make damn good coffee, Lee blushed slightly as she looked down at her plate. Well, it had been pretty damn good, otherwise there’d be no way she’d still be there to even be able have him cook breakfast for her.
”Well, I have to say that this,” Lee said pointing at her plate with her fork before looking up at Jason. And hoping that that blush was off her face now. ”Is another pleasant surprise that I was not expecting.”
That said, Lee turned her attention to her plate and started eating. Not that it was that hard to cook bacon, but the pancakes and coffee made it a pretty good breakfast. Much better than she would have likely had otherwise.
Then he commented about how she looked in his shirt, and she grinned over at Jason. ”Well, I got a pretty good view myself while you were cooking,” Lee said with a wink before turning back to her food. ”And of course your shirt looks good on me. You know it’s the only thing I’ve got on.”

He smiled at her as she told him breakfast was a surprise to her. "Well you surprised me when you didn't turn me away, he murmured softly as he looked back to his coffee.
He laughed as she continued. "Well....it helps, but I'm sure you look good no matter what," he commented, just looking over her figure for a moment before going back to his breakfast. He was still wrapping his head around this, but he was sure he wasn't dreaming.
Lee glanced sideways at Jason as she picked up a piece of bacon. ”Well, when I heard that accent of yours,” Lee said before eating a bite. ”I thought you might be an interesting diversion.” Pausing, Lee looked fully over at Jason with a grin before turning back to her plate. ”Turns out I was right.”
And despite her confidence from just moments earlier, Lee blushed slightly when she heard Jason’s comment. And saw him looking her over. Lee knew men did that to her quite often, especially with how she dressed when she went out, but somehow that look felt different.
Lee didn’t say anything to that comment, though. Instead she just sat there and ate. Then took a sip of coffee before looking over at Jason. ”So what made you decide to get this?” She asked, reaching her hand over to trace her fingers over his wolf tattoo.
