The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He smiled as he watched her set the folder down, and he found himself getting comfortable. He looked over at her when she mentioned experimenting; to be honest, that completely slipped his mind. He thought a moment, looking up at the ceiling as he did so. What could it hurt? Besides, she never really went farther than he wanted to.
He looked back over to her, smiling softly. "I see nothing wrong with that," he finally said softly. "What can it hurt, right?" He followed this up with a slight wink.
He didn't answer, and with the way she was sort of but not really looking at him, Lee didn't see any reaction to her question about experimenting. It had been a long shot, anyway. She'd hoped, but Lee hadn't actually expected…
Then he spoke, and Lee’s eyes shot to Blaine. ”Really?” Lee asked, then a smile broke out on her face. A smile that grew wider as the seconds ticked by. ”I...Yeah, ok,” She was happy by this, excited, but at the same time she wasn’t sure where to start, what to do.
So Lee just sat there smiling at Blaine for another few moments before she leaned toward him, stretching up slightly, her hand raising up to his shoulder, to give him a soft kiss. He may have given the go ahead, but slow was still good.
His eyes met hers, and he smiled as she did; he gave a slight nod to answer her question. "Yeah, really," he murmured after a second. He didn't mind experimenting with her, in fact, it was the only way to make any progress. And it seemed to make her happy too, which was even more of a plus.
When her hand reached up to his shoulder, he leaned down a little and kissed her back, his arms wrapping around her lightly. He breathed softly through his nose as he took in the sights, the sounds and smells. Though as it stood all he smelled was coffee; not that it was a bad thing. His eyes drifted closed, getting lost in the smell of coffee and the sound of his own soft breathing.
He leaned down toward her as they started to kiss. They had barely done anything so far, yet Lee’s heart was already starting to beat faster. Feeling Blaine’s arms wrapping around her, Lee’s breath caught in her throat. Her other hand reached up, fingers moving up into Blaine’s hair, pulling his head down a bit more, her hand on his shoulder hugging herself to him.
And then Lee broke the kiss. But rather than pulling away, Lee moved her mouth over to whisper in Blaine’s ear, her breathing quick. ”How far?” She asked.
He noted how much easier this seemed to be getting; it wasn't that long ago that even a simple peck on the lips was beyond him. But he was opening up, little by little. He knew by what he could see of her moving, and by some of the resistance he was feeling that she'd wrapped her arms around him and a hand in his hair.
And then the kiss broke, and she whispered in his ear.
...That was a good question. One he didn't necessarily know how to answer. After all, he didn't really have milestones marked out or anything. So he paused a moment, looking her in the eyes as he did so. "That's the thing...I never really know. It normally just...happens." He gave a soft shrug before leaning down to kiss her again.
Again, Blaine didn't answer right away. But on this case, it made sense, even if it was had for Lee at the moment.
But his answer wasn't really an answer, even if it was true. They did just kind of go with it and see what happened.
Before she was able to say anything, or question him further, Blaine was leaning down to kiss her again. Lee's hands tightened in his hair, her other hand wrapping around his neck as she returned the kiss.
Once again, he found himself getting lost in the kiss, although this time, it may not have been completely. His mind wandered, thinking on how they'd gotten to this point. It wasn't a bad thing by any means, he just never thought he'd find someone like her. Not too long back, he'd thought he was destined to just be alone.
But now, he was happier than he could remember. Even though he felt like without feeling, he was missing something, he still felt more complete than he had. He pulled her a little closer, albeit very carefully, as they continued the kiss.
Kissing Blaine war different than kissing someone else in a lot of ways, but despite that, Lee still found herself getting lost when they were kissing.
And then she felt Blaine's arms tightening around her, and Lee made a small noise in the back of her throat without realizing it. And then Lee's own arms were moving, down, hands grabbing at his shirt. Only to realize that he wasn't actually wearing one. Another small noise, though this one was closer to a moan, as she threw herself into the kiss even more.
Though kissing was a lot different for Blaine than it would be for anyone else, he was quite enjoying it. He heard the noise she'd made, and not long after that, the other one, and it told him he was doing something right.
His breath caught a little, but he kept going, his eyes staying open. His hands slid up and down her back gently, and after a few tries, he managed to let them slide under her shirt.
He was still unsure about this whole thing, but he didn't argue. He didn't fight; and at this point, he didn't think he planned to.
Blaine wasn't stopping her. In fact, his hands were rubbing up and down her back as they kissed.
And then his hands slipped under her shirt. For a moment, Lee melted against Blaine with another moan. Then Lee was moving, sifting on the couch, trying but not succeeding, in moving without breaking the kiss.
When she stopped moving, Lee was sitting on Blaine's lap facing him, her hands back in his hair as she kissed him.
He noticed her moving, but couldn't exactly help because he didn't know what she was thinking. Sure, he had this uncanny ability to read people, especially her, but his expertise was fighting and this definitely wasn't a fight.
When she kissed him again, his hands once again found their spot on her back--or close enough to it, anyway. He was surprisingly relaxed, despite his quickening breath and his heartbeat echoing in his ears.
Lee had already been sitting on Blaine's lap for a minute, kissing him the entire time, when she realized that he hadn't stopped her. That instead, his hands were back on her back, under her shirt.
Oh, to hell with it, Lee thought, finally breaking the kiss to sit up straight. As she did, she pulled her hands from Blaine's hair and quickly pulled her shirt off, dropping out on the floor.
Suddenly, she'd broken the kiss. And just as suddenly, her shirt was on the floor. For a moment, he just sort of stared in a mixture of awe and disbelief. This was... happening.
His breath caught in his throat, but he looked at her and gave a simple nod before kissing her again. Sure, he was still nervous and all kinds of uncertain, but at the same time, it was for her.
And he was starting to realize exactly how much he cared for her.
As Lee felt her shirt slipping through her fingers, Lee saw the look on Blaine's face. Instant, Lee thought deer in the headlights, and she swallowed, hard.
Before she was able to slide of Blaine's lap, before she was even able to apologize, Lee saw Blaine nod. And then he was kissing her again.
That, more than anything else that had happened so far that day, him kissing her after that nervous almost panicked look, took Lee's breath away and made her heart pound in her chest. So Lee returned Blaine's kiss eagerly, one hand finding its way to his hair, the other grabbing at his bare shoulder.
He smiled softly behind the kiss, his eyes taking in the features of her face as he held her. He could feel his nervousness slowly melting away as they kissed.
His own heart began to beat faster as his breath quickened a little, but for the most part he was relaxed. The more time passed, the more he realized...he was okay with this.
