Hey Guys,
So do you ever realize something about a day too late? Like, I don’t know, realizing you’re going to roll something out the day after you put out a newsletter?
Yeah, we did that. So here’s a new announcement: we have created an MRO Discord! (Correction: We have finally gotten an MRO Discord that we’ve been working on for three months up and running.) The MRO Discord appears next to the cbox and can be used on the browser or logged into proper on the Discord app.
We are not forcing anyone to use Discord. Cbox will still live on the site right next to Discord and you can use whichever one you feel comfortable with. You’ll still be able to see the conversation on Discord, whether or not you choose to use it. We just want to make sure y’all have options and this will also give us an alternative when cbox is not working.
If you do log into the MRO Discord, tap a mod and we’ll change your display name to your alias. You’ll also notice some channels on the side for faction plotting and stuff. You also have the ability to right click on any channel and select to mute it so you don’t get notifications. Also, Players are all people so try not to spam out friend requests and PMs unless they're cool with it. Everyone is entitled to their own private places.
As a second thing you might notice: the cbox is no longer set to hover. It now lives at the bottom of the page next to the Discord widget. We’ve been meaning to change it back over and this is a good reason to do so. People use the cbox primarily as a standalone and the hover was getting finicky. Not everything we try is going to work out perfectly, so we appreciate your patience.
If you have any other questions about the MRO Discord, feel free to ask one of the mods. And as always, thanks for being the best part of MRO.
Love you all,
Neo, on Behalf of Your Friendly Neighborhood Mod Team
