Character's real name: Valentine Jeneva Passeant
Codename: (Yet to be decided…) She’s been called ‘Enigma’, since her presence often causes heads to turn and on-lookers to baffle at a certain unexplainable alluring sort of aura that radiates from her, something other than her exotic beauty… Valentine has also been given several other nicknames… other than ‘Enigma’, the most used one would be ‘Angel’ since she’s been seen as a benevolent figure and role model in her past schools, having good manners and being very active in social work.

Personality: Generally, she’s been described as kind, caring, friendly, understanding and of all the qualities that makes a goody two shoes… but of course… no one is perfect. When faced with intolerable individuals, she’s no push over. Bullies often make her aggressive, unleashing the ‘devil’ inside her, though it’s hard for her to lose her calm and cool composure. She has a sharp tongue to match her personality, often having sarcastic come-backs that comes naturally. When she’s really angry or scared, Valentine’s hidden personality would sort of lash-out, in other words, she would go out of control. So far… it has happened only once.
Race: Eurasian (Her mother was born in Scotland to a Chinese mother and an English father, where as her father is French.)
Notes (hobbies, phobias, worries, ect.): Valentine is quite an active individual, having being enrolled by her parents in all sorts of high class sports and music classes. She does gymnastics, martial arts, ballet, fencing and plays the piano. Valentine also loves horses… Growing up, she often went over to the mansion next to hers, which belongs to her uncle, since he owns a stable. She would clean the stable up, change the hay, groom the horses and even give the horses a bath when they needed it eventhough her mother would give her a look of disapproval since she thought an upper-class girl like her shouldn’t be doing the uncanny work of a stable boy. Valentine’s uncle noticed her love for horses and on her 16th birthday he presented her his stable and his most priced horses after he himself retired from horse racing.
Valentine is also very much inclined in music. Her grandfather Dimitri Passeant was a great musician. Often, he would sit little Valentine on his lap and teach her how to play on his grand piano, guiding her little fingers to glide on the polished piano keys. Other than that, Valentine also loves to sing… Performing had always been a passion of us, whether singing, dancing or acting.
Valentine had a traumatizing experience when she was barely four years old. Her youngest uncle, André Passeant died before her after presenting her his ring, the ring that she has never seen him without. It wasn’t a natural death that caused André his life, but a sort of a stir broke out in their house before that. Something about seeing those flashes of dark red light while the chandeliers flickered back then, would often trigger unwanted flashbacks and nightmares for Valentine. (The story of it would be post later in the midst of roleplay when she has flashbacks or dreams.)

Description of ability(ies): Valentine has the power to enter the minds of others and to cause them to go into a sort of dream-like trance. During that period of time, whatever happens during his/her dream would actually affect the individual in reality. For example, it could prove detrimental if Valentine were to create a major accident in the dream of the person she chose. This ability also allows her to manipulate a person’s way of thinking and also causes illusions before them… that could eventually lead to hallucination or in other beneficial circumstances… healing. She’s an above average illusionist, since she fell in love with magic tricks after undergoing ‘internship’ with her elder cousin. Her other ability is the ability to mimic. Being a fast learner enables her to have an inner eye for things. Valentine is extremely sharp at picking up things which allows her to imitate things within an instant (Back in highschool, she did extremely well in performing arts, amongst the things she had to do was miming). Sometimes, this would include power mimicry… though to a minimum, since she isn’t all too familiar with the advantage of this particular power.
Cons (weaknesses) of ability(ies): So far, only prove victorious if she never ceases to lose a step of her opponent(s)’ move. One false move she is only able to enter the mind of one person at a time. Though in time to come, she might discover greater ways into expanding her control of multiple subjects. If Valentine uses her powers to heal, her energy level will drain her immensely and could cause her to black out from exhaustion and over exertion. The later inability would allow the enemy to get ahead of her.
Fighting style (if any): She underwent vigorous Chinese martial arts (wushu) training since she was 6 and also took part in gymnastics and fencing classes since she’s from an upper class family.

History of your character: Valentine was conceived on the 14th of February 1987, in Paris, France to the couple Edward Passeant and Jade Taylor. When Jade was 18, she went over to France to do a little landscape modeling and to participate in a runway fashion show. There was where she met Valentine’s father, Edward. They got married 5 years later when Edward was 24. Edward majored in international relations. He was transferred to England in 1993 as he was elected to be the ambassador for his country there. Jade joined her husband a year later, while Valentine stayed back in France under the care of her grandfather, Dimitri. Every once a week or forthnight, her parents would fly back to Paris to visit their only child. Valentine missed her parents company very much during that period of time, but the separation made her become a more independent individual.

She went to an international school in France that allowed her to mix with people from various ethnics and backgrounds, creating a broader range of friends and at the same time improving her communication skills. Valentine was pretty much an all rounder in school. She did well academically as well as in the sport’s arena. Though, she had several accidents. Once was when she was in the midst of her gymnastics competition, she slipped off the apparatus and had a fracture in her spine. She wasn’t able to participate in vigorous activities or sports for quite some time, but luckily she recovered faster than expected.

Valentine is a good listener. She was head youth counselor in her school. She’s a person whom would give her all for a friend. There was a particular incident where she talked to a girl when the girl was at the brink of taking her life away on the 6th floor of the office building of her school.

She’s a huge animal lover. Valentine simply melts at the sight of them! She has several pets back in her grandfather’s mansion. There was this time when she had a bear cub in her house. Her grandfather found it in his field, just next to the forest and decided to let her keep it until it was a little older to be let go into the wild again. Having a huge compound also allowed her to keep animals such as horses, dogs, hawks, sheep and every now and then a wild animal will appear in her backyard, which she would try to adopt.

Valentine doesn’t trust as easily as before anymore, after being backstabbed and even sabotaged by one of her best friends. During a ballet competition, a girl placed a tiny glass piece in Valentine’s ballet flats. Unaware of the sharp object in her shoes, Valentine had difficulty during her performance, but managed to pull through until the end when she felt her shoes starting to go damp from blood. The culprit was caught and it was none other than her best friend, Jenna. The main reason being, jealousy. Feeling very much hurt and disturbed by the event, Valentine hasn’t quite gotten over the incident that happened just a year and a half ago. However, Jenna was expelled from the prestigous school.

Later that year, Jenna saw Valentine at the local carnival and tried to pick a fight, throwing scathing comments and her. Valentine tried ignoring her, but she tried stopping her, grabbing Valentine on her shoulder. This reminded her of the milestone assault she experienced during her first time in England when she went over to look for her parents. A flashback of herself walking through an alley towards the main road occurred. A man grabbed her by her shoulders, pulling her into the shadows as he put a knife to her throat. Thankfully, Valentine fought back, having learnt self defense. But when Jenna held her at that point of time, Valentine was stunt, almost immediately she penetrated the girl’s mind, putting all sorts of thoughts into her head, causing a collision to occur. When a shriek escaped from Jenna’s mouth, Valentine turned back and saw blood streaming from her former best friend’s mouth. Scared and shocked by what had taken place, Valentine ran away from the scene.

Nobody had suspected Valentine to be the cause of Jenna’s lost of her state of mind. Nobody really knew that mutants like her existed. Jenna was admitted to an asylum, but Valentine blamed herself for what had happened. She still feels guilty for the mental torture and for that… Valentine herself isn’t fully recovered from what had happened. Becoming increasingly aware of her inability to have total control of her powers yet, Valentine did some research and came to find about Xavier’s School for the Gifted.
