Character's real name: Dominic Aaron Chavez Codename: Wire
Gender: Male Age: 24 Nationality: Puerto Rican Birthplace: Puerto Rico, but grew up in Bronx, New York Personality: Dominic is rather quiet until he becomes comfortable in his surroundings and with the people he meets. He’s very protective of his brother, who he now takes care of. Dominic is very caring, flirty, sarcastic, and brave. He’s extremely politically involved with how humans and mutants are coexisting, with a hatred for those that try to disrupt that. Notes (hobbies, phobias, worries, etc.): He likes to work out, play sports, and go to movies. He worries for his little brother now that the two do not speak with their parents often.
Side (good, bad, or neutral): Good
Everyday clothing: What any typical, urban guy would where from the Bronx. Uniform (when you become an X-Man, your uniform will receive an X-Men logo): Black jeans or pants, work boots or shoes, and a fitted black shirt or button down white shirt. He always wears he red tie with whatever uniform he wears. He sometimes wears a waist-length, black leather jacket. Pajamas: Boxers and a t-shirt
Hair color and style: Dark brown and medium length; he usually dyes it black. It gets in his face, which gives him the tendency to run his hand through it a lot. His mother liked his hair somewhat long, so he keeps it this way. Eye color: Light brown Height: 6’1” Build: Well built from his workout that he does everyday. He’s got the body of a basketball player.
Scars: The small ones on his fingertips because of his mutation. Tattoos: A tattoo of his codename on his back and of his brother’s name, Joey, on his upper arm. Piercings: None
Description of ability(ies): Wire has the ability to create thin, shiny, silver wires or "puppet strings" from his fingertips and attach them to anything. He can wrap them around objects or simply adhere to anything with the wires by puncturing the item(s). They are very durable, so he can lift himself with the wires if he were to adhere them to something high like a streetlight. He’s able to pull heavy objects as well, like cars. Dominic can easily release the wires from his fingers and start new ones.
Cons (weaknesses) of ability(ies): If he hangs on for too long to an object, it will undoubtedly crush or the wires will snap. If the wires cross one another for too long, they will also break. Fighting style (if any): His father owns a boxing gym, so Dominic is a very good boxer.
History of your character: Dominic was born in Puerto Rico and moved with his mother and father to the United States when he was five. Joey, his younger brother, was born when Dominic was eleven. Dominic's powers manifested when he was arguing with his father one day. Dominic pushed his father on the shoulders and his fingers attached to his father through his shirt. As Dominic pulled away, the shiny wires grew and pierced his father's skin painfully, causing him to fall backward from the shock and pain. Dominic let the wires fall from his fingers horrified and ran over to help his father up, who was visibly bleeding through his shirt. His father didn't approve of his mutant powers so he left and moved in with his cousin. Dominic visited his mother and little brother, Joey, once a week when he knew his father was working a night shift at a construction company after a day or working at his own boxing gym. One day, Dominic's mother invited him over for Joey's birthday, hoping Dominic and his father would begin talking again. An argument broke out as Joey was about to blow out the candles on his cake. As Joey sat there silently listening to his older brother, father, and mother yelling, a glow emitted around him that increased with his anger. Eventually, the other three noticed and were stunned, the argument immediately ceasing. Dominic took Joey out of the house with him and went back to their cousin's home. Their father doesn't speak to them or claim them in any way, although their mother wishes to regroup the family.
When Dominic came to Xavier's second school, it was a couple years after he and his younger brother had been living with their cousin. Eventually, their cousin couldn't keep the two any longer, so Dominic heard about the mutant school and spoke with the Headmistress, Delilah Rose Tipper. She accepted the two to stay at the mansion, Dominic moving in right away. His younger brother, Joey, moved in a week later and now the two are getting used to the new environment. Joey is very excited to be in the school with other kids his age that have mutant abilities, although no one is really sure of his yet. Dominic doesn't consider himself an "X-man" so much, but would help if a situation called for it. The idea of being a super hero is something he wasn’t really prepared for, but Tricity is putting him on to it.
