The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Man, was Igancio really enjoying himself. He had no idea that trying to save someone into drowning would result in a gift such as Andy. He wondered how old he was. Hopefully above the age of fifteen so Iggy could have a little play time. Though, the look he got from Jules made him chuckle. In response, he playfully nudged her.
His attention turned back to Andy when he answered his question and asked one of his own.
>> “A few weeks? Maybe a month?...What about you guys?”
>> "I’ve been here for about a year,”
Now it was Ignacio's turn. "About four years?" He honestly lost track of how long he's been in the Mansion. Iggy was about to say something when something that Andy said caught his attention. With knitted eyebrows, he asked, "¿wait, hablas español?"
How long have you been at Xavier’s? Was that really the question Andy wanted to ask? No, not really. What he wanted to know more than anything else was whether or not Ignacio liked men. All the signs were there--the winking, the flirting, the way he looked him up and down as though he was a juicy piece of meat--but he couldn’t bring himself to say it. Andy was too scared of rejection, though he tried to hide his fear behind a friendly, seemingly carefree smile.
Andy nodded to show he was listening to Juliette, even though his mind was elsewhere. It wasn’t until Ignacio spoke that Andy’s attention shifted back to the present moment. “Vaya...” he muttered in surprise, both eyebrows raised. "That's a long time to be away from home." Didn’t Ignacio miss his family? Did he even have a family? Would it be weird to ask?
>> "Wait, ¿hablas español?"
Wrinkling his brow, Andy resisted the urge to roll his eyes at Ignacio’s question. Even with his perpetually tan skin, no one ever assumed he could speak Spanish, because he didn’t “look” Latino, and it annoyed him to no end. Andy wouldn’t make a big deal out of it, though. He never did.
“Claro que hablo español,” Andy replied as though it was obvious. “Desde los cuatro años...” With a deep, reluctant sigh, he explained, “Mi mamá es cubana… y mi otra mamá es puertorriqueña.”
Juliette stood up straight and crossed her arms over her chest, wishing that she would have worn something a tad more covered. She was standing at the pool with two teenage boys and she wasn’t wearing a ton. Sure, she had been under the impression that they would just be swimming and sunbathing at that point, but she really could have chosen anything else. They were at a school, after all.
Although… neither of the boys even seemed to notice her. Either it wasn’t as big of a deal as she was making it out to be in her head, or the more likely option that she was completely invisible next to them. There were so many hormones flying between them that it was starting to feel like a teen romance novel. She was in no place to judge, of course, but she did have a responsibility as the health teacher to ensure that they were being safe, and to make sure that they were both comfortable in the situation.
As if things hadn’t been clear enough, the boys then started to speak in Spanish. Despite her latina roots and her appearance, Juliette couldn’t speak any more Spanish than anyone else in her grade school core class. She could understand a little, but she certainly couldn’t have a conversation or know what they were saying. For all she knew, they could have been talking treason or homework, although, the latter was highly unlikely.
The teacher jutted her hip and raised an eyebrow as she looked between the two boys. ”Alright, before you start talking dirty in Spanish, why don’t you two put on some shirts?” She shook her head at the two of them. Yes, they were teens, but that didn’t mean that they couldn’t keep it in their pants for a while. Especially in front of her.
