The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"A music video! I would love to go!" Allegra exclaimed. A second ago she had been chilling but now she was in hyper-excited Allegra mode. "You never told me you had such an awesome friend, Derek."
"Yeah, I could eat. A lot," Allegra said. She was pretty much up for anything at this point.
"Good. I would love to see your take on the costumes they have for me. But we'll come to t'at later." She smiled and stood up from the chair, having to pee all of a sudden. She left the room to take care of that.
Allegra grinned thinking about checking out the costumes. This would be such an adventure.
"School is still pretty much the same," Allegra said. "I love my art class and a few of the others but I just can't get used to this school. It just seems really strict. I can't walk out of class when I get bored and they give out too much homework. I actually got detention. It's such a waste of time. I already know what I want to do with my life so why should I waste my time in chemistry class. I cannot wait until I graduate. Your life seems so fun and exciting. You can do whatever you want and meet whoever you want. I just feel like I'm under house arrest. It sucks."

"Aww, Allegra. I'm sorry you feel that way. Have you talked to the counselor about how you're feelin' or maybe thought about being a trainee?" Derek asked, sitting up in the mud to look at one of his best friends.
Sig made by KIMMIE Derek talks in a light southern accent.
"I don't know if I want to be a trainee," Allegra said. "Sounds like a lot of responsibility and kinda dangerous. I don't know if I want to team up with the police to fight for mutant rights or whatever. And I'm afraid to go to the counselor because what if I say the wrong thing? Lots of kids are all about the mutant issue and how mutant lives matter and how oppressed mutants are." She whispered to Derek. "I feel oppressed here because I don't want to be a mutant. I don't have any mutant pride. I just want my old life back."
Allegra looked over towards the hallway to the bathrooms. Xavia had been there for a long time. "Is she okay?" Allegra asked. "She seems really happy but she seems kinda worried too. Maybe I'm imagining it. You know her better than I do. It just seems like she's kind of scared about something and not just about a baby on the way."
Xavia came back out eventually. She was looking a bit distracted, frowning, feeling a it on edge. She didn't say anything about what was going on, she simply returned to where she was sitting. The redhead suddenly felt rather weary and like maybe the spa was being wasted on her with all that was happening. While she was sitting there, she sighed and wondered what to do.

Derek listened closely to what Allegra had to say. He knew a good number of mutants who felt the way that Allegra did. He just wished that she wasn't so down in the dumps about herself. He hoped that she would grow in appreciating of her mutant-ness. "I guess I understand that. Being new to the mutant population is a working process to say the least."
When Allegra expressed her concern for Xavia, Derek moved so that he was sitting crisscross in the mud bath. "Yeah, she's goin' through a lot right now. She just needs time." He took in a deep breath and turned his head when Xavia walked back into the spa room. "Are you okay?" He asked his other best friend quietly.
