"No, I do not want to talk about it. Who wants to talk about being drugged and helpless? I took care of him. Trust me. He won't mess wit' anot'er woman after what I did to him, not even his wife." She wasn't angry, but the topic was rather depressing.

"I had one night wit' someone just to feel like human again, free will. Happened a week or so after. Not seen him since. It could be him. Not happy t'at I might be... Pregnant... But will survive. Not kid's fault t'is happen."

Derek chewed on his bottom lip. "Well, I'm glad you took care of yourself in that matter." He gently stroked her side. "...Are you goin' to see a therapist about what happened or are you just goin' to handle this on your own?"

"Well, let's up that the kid is his. You're strong for doin' this, Xavia." Derek sighed and relaxed in the couch. "...Do I need to track him down too? I have the man power to do it. Well, animal power."

"No. I do not want one. I am fine. I have been t'rough enough in my life to learn to get over it eventually." Nope, more like shut everyone else out, ran away, etc etc. Even though she had admitted to madness creeping in. But that was more when she hadn't been sleeping.

"You do not need to go after Karrl. He just gave comfort. I will go to him in good time." Soon, she thought, since she was not trying to let anyone do more than maybe roll in the sheets with her... And even then, Karrl had been her first since before Delilah was born. "I... Wanted to lose my t'oughts for a while, it had been almost five years since I..."

Derek continued to physically comfort Xavia, "well, like I said, you are a very strong woman, Xavia," he quietly said, "if you ever need someone to talk to, you can always call me." Derek nuzzled her like a canine would. He even started to make little growling and grunting noises. He didn't know he was doing it until he realized that he stopped nuzzling.

With a blushed expression, Derek slowly sat up and patted her hip. He hoped that Xavia didn't notice that he just went a little animalistic.

"Since you've been with a man," He finished in a hushed tone. "I know. I'm sorry. All of this must be stressful for you, dear. Is there anything I can do?"

She noticed, but she wasn't concerned about it seeing as she was always permeating plant smells without meaning to. Like... Right now, it was roses. But that was usually the scent she walked around with, and there was something about it that it would be easy to figure out why the guts had a thing for her.... Not to mention how much of a hottie she was.

"Nobody can do anyt'ing. I am just going to have to survive. What you can do is keep talking about your news..."

Derek clicked his tongue and closed his eyes. He slowly rested his head back against the couch and tried to get his thoughts together. He couldn't help, but feel a tug on his heartstrings with what she was going through.

"My life isn't that exiting. I've told you everythin' so far. I'm gettin' involved with Haven. Went on a trainin' mission with Artair. He's Scottish and very attractive."

Artair's name caught her attention, and she purred out, "I know..." Woops. Her face. Went. Red. Okay, so she had a thing for him. She couldn't tell if it was his accent, or the fact that he went out of his way to be a gentleman every time she saw him. But she wouldn't mind letting him shake a few leaves.

"I met him. He is really nice... He took care of me when I get burns from coffee." She cleared her throat and tried now to relax.

Derek notice the purr in her face and immediately smiled. "I know that sound," Derek moved so that he was kneeling down in beside Xavia's face. He playfully nuzzled the top of her head and took in her scent. "You like himmmm." He mused playfully.

"He is really nice. Sexy as hell. I call him Merida. It's a thing we have." Derek shrugged as if it was nothing. "Xavia, you should go for it. You two would make a cute couple."

"Derek, I have never even been on a date before. Besides, I doubt he t'inks of me like t'at." Not to mention, she still hurt deeply over Jupiter. She had to admit that sher was lonely.

"He is pretty delicious, I will not lie," again, she was purring and red faced. "But again, complicated life." She sighed and let go of the pillow. "Last time I tryto go for it, I get told it was just my attraction to t'e mutation. T'at was messy."

She'd never been on a date before? Well, that may have been a problem for some, but Derek wouldn't think that would be one for Xavia. She was a pretty, intelligent young woman. If Derek were straight, he'd totally go after her.

"Well maybe Artair will be different," Derek paused and nudged her face with his. "Just make sure to invite me to the wedding," he teased in a whisper, "seriously though. The next time I see him, I'll bring you up when I next see him."

"Oh boy... Wedding?" She shook her head, then seemed to relax against her friend. Apparently, human contact was the secret to getting her to sleep.. Or rather, snuggle type contact, she was starting to feel drowsy.

"I doubt...(insert healthy yawn here)... Anyt'ing will happen." And it probably wouldn't... She had a hard time letting someone in. It probably had everything to do with her high school sweetheart being brutally murdered before they ever had a chance. Her dad hadn't let her date him, he always had to be there or one of her siblings, they never went to prom or anything. Add to that, the one person she let close, she pushed away.

Xavia sighed and closed her eyes, "I am like a desert, if t'at makes any sense."

Derek shrugged his shoulders, "why not? You're marriage material. Though, he'll have to like your kids first before anything." But he knew that Artair was the kind of guy that wouldn't mind if the children was his. He was a really nice, sweet, sexual, fit, guy.

"You shouldn't doubt yourself, Xavia." Derek went ahead and sat down on the floor instead of being on his knees and rested his body against the side of the couch and his head against Xavia's again. "Never say never."

"...A desert? You taste that good?" He asked in a teasing tone. "Damn. You go, girl."

"No... Not dessert... Desert... Dried up. I only ever gave myself to one man and have not gone for anot'er in five years almost, and when I did, I didn't know how to feel because it was after what happened..." She opened her eyes when Derek moved.

"I am almost 34 years old, and I am a wuss when it comes to men. But It is lonely." And she wasn't kidding.

"...Oh," Derek blinked, "I knew that," no he didn't, "I was just givin' you a compliment. Y'know, turn a negative situation into a positive one." He paused and chewed on his lip. "Look, I know that it's hard. You loved Jupiter and that's okay."

"You're thirty-four?" Derek didn't know that. "Good on you. You look 25." And he wasn't kidding either.

"I am a plant. Of course I look good." She said playfully. Hey, she could make a funny after all! "I miss him. T'ere is part of me t'at just can't let go of him."

She put her hand over her mouth and stood up, stepping away and turning her back. Obviously, she hated being emotional in front of people. "I have to move on but it hurts. I see him every time I look at our baby and he isn't coming back, is he?"
