The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

In truth Rebecca could not fault either of them for liking cheesy shows, and remembered the episode that Jorge recounted with fondness. "I'll admit, I laughed at that one a lot as well." Best not to annoy any fandoms along with breaking Hospital regulations for visiting. The Nurse asked Jorge about his recovery...well that could take any amount of time, in Rebecca's case it had been a few weeks, but she knew as did anybody with experience of physical rehab that results were always varied in time.
And with extent. Jorge did seem to be a bit uncomfortable with Rebecca's discomfort. She couldn't help it though, this guy was a potential danger to her still. She figured that at least he wouldn't hurt her deliberately.
Juliette indicated the direction they needed to go in, where the lobbies were. This was where they would probably say goodbye. The park was vaguely familiar to Rebecca as one of the many exits, though it was perhaps the most scenic one. On one hand this was disappointing, Jorge seemed like a socialble guy thast she should get to know more, on the other, positively relieving, no more risk of getting blasted with a huge gout of water. As they headed towards the doors, Rebecca knew that she wouldn't be stepping in again until she visited her friend...
Juliette stepped out into the little courtyard that was nestled in the middle of one of the wings. The great thing about a circular set up was that there was occasionally room for something pretty.
Of course, that wasn't to say that the courtyard was necessarily pretty by most people's standards. It was reasonably small, so you could see the other side of the building as you stepped out from one door, and there wasn't all that much to look at in the seasons where things were no longer growing. Snow that was beginning to melt had piled up on either side of the paths, grouping mostly in the brown bushes that lacked leaves. At one end, there was a coffee cart, and at the other there was a designated smoking area that was perpetually in use.
If one walked through the entire area, it would only give them about a five to ten minute's walk, but thankfully, it was set up so that you could choose to take a loop or two.
Juliette shivered slightly as she was greeted by a burst of cold air. She had been starting to get used to that happening, but it still wasn't the greatest feeling. She brought her arms closer in to her body and then stifled a yawn as she turned to face her companions.
"I think I'll be ducking out soon," she told them. She'd already stayed long than planned, and it had been a long shift, even before all that had just happened. However, the coffee cart was so close... "Maybe after we reach the coffee cart."

Jorge
Once the trio got to the courtyard, Jorge had to smirk a bit at the sensation of the cool breeze was it wafted over his form. It was a sweet feeling, one that, again, reminded him that he was back and alive. After going through a trauma like he experienced, the man was steadily learning to appreciate the small things again. Today it was the wonders of conversation, a stiff breeze through his hair, and scent of hot brewed coffee in the distance that drew his attention. Oh how he missed coffee but it was probably best that he continue to stay off of it and keep himself hydrated with good, old-fashioned water.
Feeling his time with the two lovely ladies coming to a close, she smiled sweetly at them as they started to move around the courtyard, taking the loop in order to add to his walk time. He needed to keep on top of his exercises and a brisk walked through the cool, morning air was actually what the doctor ordered.
Rebecca still stayed with them but she seemed as if she were not ready to part from the group. Jorge couldn’t blame her. He was certain that his abilities, and the fact that he was having trouble controlling them were only adding to her anxiety around him. Still, he had to admire her for sticking things out as long as she did. Not a lot of people would have done that in the same position. When someone is scared of something, unless they have a certain personality, they tend to avoid it like the plague. Maybe the next time they crossed paths, if they ever did, she wouldn’t be so jumpy around him?
The nurse, Ms. Lawson, also seemed as if she had reached the end of her journey. She had stumbled across him near the end of her shift and now he had hogged up the last of her rounds. Still, he supposed there were worse things she could have been called in to do last minute besides keeping an old man company. Still, like Rebecca, her departure would be more than justified.
>> "I think I'll be ducking out soon…Maybe after we reach the coffee cart."
He nodded his head. They were actually not far from the coffee cart already and the biting breeze was probably a deciding factor in making that the end of their little journey. Once the nurse excused herself, Jorge was certain that Rebecca would follow. He would need to complete another lap but afterwards he was certain he’d be ready for his bed again.
As they drew closer to the cart, Jorge sighed, stopped, and turned back to the lovely pair with a sincerely smile. ”I can’t thank to two of you enough for humoring an old man. But I’m certain I’ve already monopolized enough of your time. Again, thank you so much for joining me and keeping me entertained.” He turned to blonde with a gentle smile. ”Rebecca, I hope your friend feels better.” Then to the nurse, a small nod of his head. ”Ms. Lawson. To you and your colleagues, of course I have the utmost respect for. Thank you for all the good you do.”
