The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Well, there was no tactful way to name women with small breasts, was there? He just hoped it never got back to them because a) He'd have to explain why he was remarking on the size of their breasts, and b) Then they'd know he'd looked enough to be able to name them. For Abby, he'd risk it, because he'd promised to do his best, and his best right now meant naming women with smaller breasts.
"Well, there's Ghost, Mirror's Maya part, and I'm not sure if you'd remember Katrina? Outside the Mansion there's Natalie Portman, Kiera Knightley, and every competitive swimmer I can think of. So if they don't grow, you'll be in excellent company." That felt like time for a hug. Was a hug too much? Maybe, but he'd already picked her up to sit her on the couch. So gentle hug it was. Just a short one.
"You just never forget that it's what's on the inside that counts for the most. It's very easy to get caught up in how you look, but how you act is what makes you who you are." So far, she seemed like she was going to be a real stand up adult. He was proud of her.

The list was nice. That he could give her real people who had small chests really helped. Then he mentioned swimmers. That got her thinking. She spent a lot of time swimming. Could that be another reason her chest was flat? She'd have to look it up. She wouldn't stop swimming, but it'd be nice to know why. She leaned into the hug. She didn't get a lot of those. Though she did cuddle with her wolf friend.
>>"You just never forget that it's what's on the inside that counts for the most. It's very easy to get caught up in how you look, but how you act is what makes you who you are."
She nodded at what Cafas was saying. She would make sure not to get caught up. She would look to see if there was a reason for her flat chest, but she wouldn't worry about it. "Could you... Could you introduce me to one of them?" she asked quietly.
Now they were talking territory Cafas was good at! Get a meeting with an X-man or his own paramour? Piece of cake. Not that he could eat cake. Not if he wanted to maintain any semblance of visible abdominal muscles. He put on weight like Maya didn't, if he stopped being strict with himself. Good for gaining the muscle, bad for keeping it all nicely defined.
"How about Ghost? I could set that up easy." An eyebrow disappeared into his pink fringe to emphasise the question. He tried to smile in a "You don't have to be shy asking me for things" sort of way too, but ultimately reassuring was probably as close as he could get without a mirror and a few hours to practice.
Hope Maya won't mind being set up as a role model of flat chested girls.

>>"How about Ghost? I could set that up easy."
Abby smiled and nodded a little. "Please?" She stopped for a moment and bit her lip softly. She had learned how to do that without cutting herself. He didn't look like he'd no. But... Releasing her lip, she decided to just ask. "Can I have another hug?" She was back to no looking and flushed cheeks.
Cafas made a note to try to arrange the introductions as soon as possible. Not that Maya needed another kid to worry about, but Abby certainly needed someone she could look up to. Someone that wasn't him. Cafas didn't think he should ever be anyone's role model. He just wasn't cut out for it, what with all the killing. But he was supposed to have forgiven himself for that, wasn't he? Didn't stop the nightmares. They had been less frequent though.
"Can I have another hug?"
That was heart melting. How could he possibly say no to that? It would be a crime to do so, surely. He had told her he'd be there for whatever she needed, after all. "Sure thing, sweetie." Cafas wrapped Abby up in an exaggerated hug, giving her a squeeze for good measure. He couldn't imagine how much she must be missing her family, but it would appear that his hugs would be the substitute.

It felt nice to have a hug. She couldn't remember the last hug she got. Though she had cuddled some with her wolf friend, Abby hadn't had a real hug in... a long time. Usually it didn't bother her much since her sensitive skin made touch hurt. But with Cafas... She wanted a hug. Badly. She had been ever so happy he had agreed. She didn't know what she would do otherwise.
She sighed a little when he pulled back. It felt too short, but a hug was better than no hugs. There had been the usual pain with touch, but it was bearable when he hugged her. He cared. He was family. She didn't know how exactly, but it felt good to have someone she could go to. She wondered if this Ghost person Cafas was going to introduce her to would like her.
Cafas stopped short of ruffling Abby's hair. His face cracked an over the top smile he just couldn't fight off. He didn't actually say D'aw, but it was a close run thing. He understood her feeling the need to ask all too well, but hearing it was too cute.
This kid is gonna kill me.
Maya liked everyone. She liked Isabel Duskmoor the mass murderer, she liked Sam the drunk, she liked just about most people Cafas could think of. She didn't like Alfie, but he couldn't blame her for that. "She's going to love you." Cafas replied, brushing some hair out of Abby's face where it had fallen. "I think nearly everyone would like you if they got to know you." Because people tended to like sweet and caring people. Especially ones that had their head screwed on as well as Abby did.
"Anything else been bothering you sweetie?" Not that he had anywhere to be (except maybe one or two protests, but they could wait.) He was just hoping to coax them out of her while she was in a sharing mood and there, rather than let them get to a point where they were worrying her.

>>"She's going to love you. I think nearly everyone would like you if they got to know you."
Abby wasn't too sure about everyone liking her. There were plenty of other students who didn't like her. She didn't have a whole lot of friends her age. But Ghost sounded like someone Cafas' age, so many she would like her. Maybe. It was hard to tell sometimes.
>>"Anything else been bothering you sweetie?"
The little blonde thought about that hard. Besides what they had talked about, she didn't think anything else was wrong. But she wanted to make sure before saying so. She rested her head on her shoulder as she thought. School was over for the year. She had a few people she would probably spend time with over the summer months. Aunt Teresa had sent her a few new books. Besides her almost failing grade in history, there wasn't much she was worried about. And Abby planned on studying over the summer to make sure she knew the history material better.
Shaking her head, she looked back up at the pink haired adult. "I don't think so."
Well, short of any more problems he was totally underequiped to deal with, they no longer needed to take up Mama T's space. Who knew when she might be back, and what she might actually feel about them casually using her office without asking. It was quite impolite, after all. Maybe he shouldn't have? No he was just questioning himself because of how much the question had thrown him for a loop. He wasn't actually worried about it. Mama T would get it, especially under the circumstances.
Kind of her job normally anyway.
"Well then, Miss Abby, have you had lunch? Because I for one am hungry." He flashed what was quickly becoming a signature smile when dealing with the Sharkmaid. Cafas took the few short steps to the door, swinging it partially open, then turning back to address Abby. "Come on. Even if you have eaten, one extra lunch isn't going to do a growing young woman any harm." The Xman offered the girl his hand. She was maybe a bit old to appreciate holding hands while walking, but then, she'd surprised him with liking the hugs.
