The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aoi was starving her last transformation had taken a lot out of her. She smiled to herself, back home if her dad heard her he would have yelled for he rbing up so late but here no one seemed to care that much. In fact she passed a few others on her way each of which were older then her but did little more then glance down at her.
The mansion itself was still new and huge and it took her time to make her way from her room down to the Kitchen area. The place was beautiful and the kitchens dim lighting looked like heaven. Flipping the light switch on she quickly made her way to a fridge, she quickly found what she was looking for, pre-cooked frozen fish. She preferred fresh but this would certainly do.
As she turned the microwave on, she found herself easily distracted by the things around her. It was still all so weird even after a month of being here. She had gotten over random mutants displaying their powers better and she had managed to keep her own mostly under control.

Margo had had a long day. She’d been volunteering at a charity auction on the other side of town; then she’d gotten on the wrong bus on the way back, and then she’d gotten on the right bus going in the wrong direction, and then she’d finally gotten on the right bus going the right direction only to miss her stop. She’d had to walk back a stop to get to the coffee shop for work. Stupid mistakes, but that was what happened when you’d pulled an all nighter the night before. Come to think of it, that had been a mistake too.
By the end of the day, the girl wanted nothing more than to fall into her bed. Lunch had been a sandwich some time ago, though, and she didn’t feel like going out to get dinner. That left the kitchen. Margo, grudgingly, hauled herself down the stairs.
The last time she had been in this kitchen, there had been blood all over the floor and a very angry wolf. This time around, there was a kid working the microwave. The kid was striking, with silver hair and blue eyes, but there was something in the set of her features that almost reminded Margo of something…
“<What are you heating up there?>” she asked, in Japanese. The Tokyo dialect. She fished her phone out of her pocket, ready to pretend she was on a phone call in case this was another of her embarrassing mistakes and the kid didn’t speak Japanese.

She never even heard the other woman approach. The voice from behind her was unexpected but the familiar words and inflection kept her calm. In fact she barely noted it and did not event urn around responding in japanese Tokyo accent.
"Fish, I have a lot of cravings for it" she said in fluid Japanese, continuing to watch the numbers count down until a few moments later the puzzle pieces finally clicked in her head.
She turned, her long silver hair sweeping around her as she did, almost tripping, taking in the woman before her who had to be the one who spoke, either that or this was someone invisible.
"Oh! I'm sorry my name is Mizuki and yours?" she asked politely not recognizing the girl at all, but she had been in the mansion only a short few months and the people were so transient and different. She had assume dno one here would speak her native language but she now knew at least one person did. It was nice, but it made her think of home.

Margo had been expecting the kid to speak Japanese. It would have been humiliating if she had been wrong. Still, hearing the familiar tones again after all those years nearly took her breath away.
More than anything, it dredged up memories of her mother.
“Oh! I'm sorry my name is Mizuki and yours?” The girl turned in a sweep of long silver hair, nearly tripping, and Margo wiped her expression quickly and forced herself to stop looking like she’d been hit by a truck.
“Nice to meet you, Mizuki, I’m Margo,” she said, with a friendly smile. “Sorry if I scared you just now.”

"No,it's ok, i was ...well not expecting to here Japanese while i was here" continuing in Japanese, she admitted with a shy smile. It had stunned her when she realized the girl had spoken Japanese and not English but felt bad for assuming people wouldn't speak Japanese.
"It is nice to meet you as well. Do you live here as well?" she asked even as the smell of fish began to become evident in the air. SHe was curious about the woman and what she could do but was to polite to ask. Everyone here seemed to be able to do something different and wonderful some of ir was dangerous, like herself others not so much.
The Microwave dinged and she pulled out the tray of fish which were in small round balls that were breaded. She made her way to the table and looked at her new found company. "Would you like some?" she asked not wanting to be rude and knowing their was more. Mizuki loved fish even before her mutation but more so now.

Hearing her mother language for the first time in years had brought back memories that Margo hadn’t even known she had. Now, every word was like a wave, crashing over those memories, pulling them away. Something was screaming inside of her, but she didn’t tell Mizuki to stop; it wasn’t her fault, after all, and the part of Margo that wasn’t terrified of losing what she had left of her mom… that part of her almost enjoyed this.
"It is nice to meet you as well. Do you live here as well?”
“I do live here. I have for a couple years now, actually. I’m a psychic. What about you?” It was a pretty typical introduction, at least here in the Mansion.
Ding! Mizuki pulled her tray out of the microwave, and the kitchen was filled with the smell of fish. "Would you like some?” she asked, rather politely, and Margo was reminded of the reason she had come downstairs in the first place. Frozen fish wasn’t what she would have gone for, but she’d eat just about anything right now.
“Thanks,” she said, taking a piece as she slipped past, towards the fridge. “Do you want anything else to eat?”

"I just moved in about two months ago. I use to Live near Kyoto. I can turn into a Polar Bear" she said not recognizing the woman at all from the previous night. Their had been a lot going on and she had been in little condition as to pay much attention. "My powers just started a few months ago and me and my parents decided me and my sister should be separated until we leaned control" she explained. In truth she had wanted that more then her parents.
She considered the offer on food but shook her head. "No thank you, but do you mean you can read minds?" she asked curiously. The idea of a psychic was interesting though and her curiosity took over her mind.
She ate another of the popcorn fish balls and then looked back down on her plate. "On second thought what are you having? I have eaten way to much fish the past few months" she said looking at Margo. Her mutation caused her to crave fish but she did have limits. She just had not realized it before, without thinking she tended to eat fish now.

Whoah, so Mizuki was the polar bear from the infirmary the other day? That was… unexpected, but cool, and it raised the question— did she not remember what happened when she was in her other form? Margo was curious, but considering the claw marks and smashed vases left in the bear’s wake, thought it better not to ask.
“Does your sister turn into a bear too?” she asked instead. “Do you miss her?” She opened the refrigerator door, and was blasted in the face with a wave of cold air. There was hummus, and leftover takeout, and frozen pizza. “No, I don’t read minds. I do something a little different, like this.” This was a glimpse of emotion, there and gone; it was hard to explain her power, even in English, but it was demonstrated easily enough.
"On second thought what are you having? I have eaten way too much fish the past few months.”

"She does and i do. It was a reason we were separated. When our powers first emerged we were fighting and we destroyed a few classrooms in our wake. I regained control first but my sister took longer and i almost died." she explained recalling the fight as if it were a dream both do the memory fading a bit and her own preoccupation would gaining control over her rampaging bear self.
The demonstration of power left Mizuki speechless. She was unsure how to describe what just happened but the look of surprise on her face was evident enough. "That was....That's an interesting power." she said. She had felt something intense for a moment.
"It is unwise to demonstrate my power, their is always a period i lack control over the bear's instincts' she said not wanting to offend the woman by not showing what she could do. It was to dangerous and Mziuki could not see how Margo could defend herself against her.
She moved over to the fridge to check it, realizing as she got up that she had not really looked what was in the fridge itself just letting instinct over power her. "Pizza seems good if your into it" she said not wanting to pick something the other woman did not like.

“That’s rough. I’m sorry that’s how you had to find out,” Margo said, honestly. Her own powers were relatively harmless, and she had found out from a friend; what Mizuki and her sister had gone through, on the other hand… yeah, that was rough.
”It is unwise to demonstrate my power, there is always a period I lack control over the bear's instincts”
She most definitely did not remember her from the infirmary, then. “That’s ok,” Margo reassured. “Actually, I’ve seen you around. When you’re a polar bear.” She had seen what the bear could do. She also should probably change the topic now. “And you’re kidding, right? I am so into pizza. Can you get it out of the package while I preheat the oven?”

"Thank you, Yea it was not fun but no one was hurt other then me so that's good, and since my parents paid for the damages their were no charges' she said glad no one had been hurt but herself. The situation could have been way worse and a lot of people could have easily wound up dead just from collateral damage.
Mizuki froze like a deer in headlights when the woman mentioned she had seen her polar bear form and a very embarrassed look came over Mizuki about the situation. She felt terrible it had happened at all. Mizuki wondered which incident she had seen her. She felt worse their had been more then one at all. She had considered locking her door but knew the door was nothing to the bear, but a momentary impact.
Part of her was glad for the topic change but part of her still dwelled on the fact that she was failing to keep herself in check. She had to try harder not thats she knew how to prevent herself from becoming monster Bear. She ahd watched a lot of video's on what a Polar Bear could do to a seal and it was not pretty at all.
She forced this to the back of her mind however."S-Sure" she replied as she took the frozen pizza out of the fridge and started opening it on the counter. She hoped her sister was having an easier time of it. She unwrapped the plastic from the pizza as well. She really hoped her sister was taking this seriously.

On second thought, she probably shouldn’t have mentioned the bear at all. Mizuki looked positively stricken as she took the pizza out of the fridge and unwrapped it, and Margo could only guess at the thoughts running through her head.
“Sorry, I shouldn’t have mentioned it,” she said, leaning against the counter as she waited for the oven to heat up. “It’s ok, though.” It probably wasn’t, but what else was she supposed to say? “You’ll figure it out. You know the Mansion offers classes in controlling your powers, right?”

"No, it's ok, no one has been hurt yet" she said more trying to comfort herself then Margo. "Yea they are working on finding out what causes me to transform. I Know i can change while asleep and the Bear can act on it's own in that time but we don't know the trigger" she explained. The leading theory was stress but their was no proof for this
"I met with that nice Ms. Taylor lady and she seemed pretty sure i would get control at some point. I just hope by then i have not done something bad" she said as she threw out the unneeded packaging .
"She offerd to let me sleep next to her room or office so her aura would keep me from any further midnight rampages" she went on hoping it would work.. it was hard to know do to the seemingly random nature of her changeing.

Ding! The sound that the oven made as it finished preheating reminded Margo of the sound of the microwave, although a little less obnoxious— yes, that was how out of it she was, to be comparing the oven to the microwave based on their musical talents. She opened the oven door to put the pizza in, then paused as the wave of heat hit her full in the face.
“Have you been?” Sleeping next to Miss Taylor’s office, that was. “And I’m obviously not an expert on this, but… just don’t stress about it, okay?”
Obviously, it was great advice for the kid who turned into a polar bear in her sleep.

"Yes, at least until i get control or feel like lining my room with steel plating. I try not to worry but it's hard knowing the damage i could do in a short period of time." she said recalling the youtube videos she had watched on it. Many...most had not been pretty.
"I don't know how not to worry about it. Though it is easier here knowing their are some mutants who can handle my mutation or negate it entirely. I was much more worried before i knew that" she admitted though changeing and acidently beheading somone was still a big fear of hers.
