Intro:
Thousands of years ago nearly all life on earth was extinguished. There have been many theories as to what caused this colossal cataclysm, this huge holocaust, this Armageddon. Some believe a terrible pestilence ravaged the earth, striking down all those who were unfit for existence. Others believe the culprit to be an asteroid which fell from the inky void of space and whose impact caused the earth to go through biblical changes.
Now imagine for a moment that the latter theory holds true; a giant slab of intergalactic rock, hurtling through space on a random trajectory with no point or purpose which by mere chance managed to strike the planet on which we all live.
Now what if I told you it was no accident?
What if I told you something summoned it? Something so outrageously powerful it makes nuclear warheads seem insignificant and puts the most destructive mutants to shame? You’d probably say I was mad, and I wouldn’t blame you.
Suppose for a moment though that you did believe me, that you believed a creature powerful enough to obliterate a planet once walked this earth. Can you truly imagine such a terrifying entity? No, of course you can’t no one can. You see such a powerful being was never meant to exist, yet it does, to this very day…
Plot so far:
Random archeologist in some unknown part of the globe discovers a strange statue hidden in the heart of a dormant volcano. This statue is the ‘petrified’ remains of the planet destroying creature described above.
The statue quickly becomes the target for every power hungry individual in the world, after all who wouldn’t want to rain down meteors on their foes and against their missiles.
Eventually the statue comes into the possession of a crime syndicate known as triangular. The statue is locked away in a secure environment while research is conducted on the statue to see if the creature inside can be cloned or possibly revived.
The key to the secure environment/vault which holds the statue is placed in the hands of a middle man whom the syndicate has come to trust for some reason. This trust soon turns out to be misplaced as the guardian of the key decides he wants the statue and its powers for himself. To that end he holds a series of illegal tournaments in order to enlist those with sufficient combat abilities.
…that’s about as far as I’ve gotten, so comments, criticisms, anything?

Well, for what it's worth I like it. Also gives the X-Men to go up against the Order to get ahold of it for their own reasons...

Plus Hunter can try and get involved. Hunter is always looking for power, and power like that is something money cant buy.
