The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The wounds only stung a little, and that feeling was quickly fading as his accelerated healing began closing the wounds up. He let Xavia take his hand and pull the thorns out, but by the time she was applying the aloe, they were already beginning to close up. When she finished he brought his paw to his mouth and licked off what little blood was left. He got a bit of aloe as well, which tasted cool against his tongue. He appreciated the gesture, but it was unnecessary since he now got over injuries fairly quickly, but he wasn't one to be rude, "Hrrrrr thaankks," he grunted, "but I hhhrrr heeaal faasst hrrrrr."
He let Xavia cup his hand and place the rose in it. He felt that she was missing the point a little. His issue was he couldn't use his hands for anything that required any type of fine dexterity. He could hold things, he could grab things, but he couldn't manipulate anything. His life before all this he could play video games, write papers, type on a keyboard. Now he couldn't do any of that. A majority of everyday tasks that should be simple had suddenly been cut out of his life. He looked at the rose disappointingly. With his freehand he stuck his paw into the ground, scooping out a hole, then let the rose fall from his hand. It landed in the hole stem first, and he scooped the dirt back into the hole, the rose stuck out of the ground at an angle. He realized he had probably just been mangling one of her favorite plants as she asked for his name. "Hrrrr Tyson," he answered, "Sorrrrrrry forrrrr hrrrrr rrrrrrruining yourrrr rrrrrose."

"Tyson, it is ok." She said as she observed him. She hadn't missed the point, or so said the look on her face when she watched him put the rose in the ground without mangling the plant any further. "Practice. Just practice, will become easier." Xavia reached out and touched his shoulder, wrinkled her nose and smiled, "Promise..."
The plant mutant moved away from him then, to the lone desk that sat up at the front of the building, and wrapped her finger around the back of her neck to kneed at aching muscles. Her stomach growled, she contemplated clocking out and heading home for dinner, but didn't want Tyson to feel like she didn't want him in her presence, she didn't want to alienate him or make him feel he was not welcome, she pondered what to do.
It was what he had been told before. Practice, and it would come back to him. Unfortunately it felt like he was relearning what a 8 year old could accomplish better then him at the moment. It was not so much the practice that bothered him but the frustration of his body not responding to him the way it should. He knew Xavia meant well, but there were some things that couldn't be fixed with simple words of encouragement. Tyson had had his life torn out from under him, and only time could heal such wounds. In the mean time he would simply have to bleed.
Tyson's sharp hearing picked up on Xavia's stomach grumbles. He figured she was probably wanting to go to lunch. "Hrrrrrr shhhhoooould get back tooo hrrrrr prrrrrractice." he said, giving Xavia the excuse she needed to go. By now the halls were probably cleared, he could go and find something to occupy his time, he could probably get a bite to eat himself. Hopefully there was some cooked meat somewhere in the kitchen, he dreaded the thought of having another episode where he scarfed down a raw steak. "See yoooooou arrrrrrroooooound? hrrrrr" he said, doing his best to try and seem like her encouragement had paid off. It had. Maybe. A little. But he did enjoy talking to someone who didn't overwhelm his sense of smell.

He should be glad that she didn't know he was hungry for meat, she would have been about useless there since she was a plant eater.... Let that sink in for a few moments. She did, however, ask, "You hungry?* It wasn't because she could sense or hear he was hungry, it was more because she was hungry and it was ruse as heck not to make the inquiry when one was on their way to stuffing their face.
She had a black bean burger with her name on it, yum yum. In the meantime, she would cant her head in his general direction and wait for his answer. Once he did (assuming he did...) She would either get on the Harley and ride on to her home and perhaps even fit a walk in somewhere before she had to make the commute back to the mansion.
Either way... She was asking. Because she was nice. Yeah. But that is just Xavia.
Tyson simply nodded an affirmative to Xavia. He kinda hoped she didn't want to eat with him, not because he didn't enjoy her company, but because it was messy and embarrassing for him since he couldn't chew properly. It was the same with drinking, which he still hadn't figured out without getting soaked or spilling a good portion of. It made public eating awkward, so generally he ate in private. "Hrrrrr maaahbee i'rrrl seeeee yoooouuu thhhhumoorrrrrrrrow?" He asked a bit glad to have a new friend. He was very alone at the mansion in more ways then one, and having someone who just listened to as a blessing at the moment.
