The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Heey guys we need to change Parvulus' powers... =/
Any ideas for a new set...?
Most likely we'll need a new history and new story to his four elite people too. Back to the drawing board compadres! haha, I haven't thought of anything yet, but I thought I'd open it up to you guys so we can all ponder upon it at the same time.
Lady J says he's too powerful. Although, I wasn't actually planning on having Parvulus uses his powers at all in the actual RPG, just behind the scenes previous to it, and just to nameless NPCs. Maybe if I explain that to her, it'll make her feel better about the character.
The only real important part of the powers though is the stealing people's powers for others. So he can give them to his elite warriors.
Hopefully with that explanation it'll be okay, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
Hmmm... if you explain it to her she should accept it.
Are you calling it as your second charrie? I don't think you should. Just let her know that it's an NPC (that you will control for the plot), but he won't be using the power successfully (at least not permanantly) on any MRO author controlled charrie. The power is ONLY to explain the plot and backdrop the story.
Because that's what he really is... an NPC that plays a vital role in this plot.
Overcast lives!!! Anyway, I vote with Eris: try and explain it to Lady J. I think she'd understand. Perhaps you could make it something like, when he does leech powers he HAS to give it away, otherwise he can't really function - and the more he collects the less physically able he becomes because it's like carrying a heavy burden sort of a thing.
Back to the drawing board... Meh, I'm sure we can think of something just as good. I'm confident, we're all intelligent rp'ers here, haha, we'll find an even more amazing power this time around.
Hopefully the plot will be worth all of the hardwork we've put in and are going to. In fact, I'm sure it will be. =)
Just a few more kinks to work out.
ohhh, and yeah, Parvulus is just an NPC that's going to be controlled from my Brightside account. He's not actually my second character. =)
he emits a glow and halo at will (being chosen by god and what not) and possesses superhuman magnitism and charisma. Most people simply can't say 'no' to him, and at least will stop to give him the time of day.
And if his elite guard general peoples still need special 'ascension' powers... he could have a number of 'dormant' abilities that he bestows on other mutants. *shrug* an idea.
Ooo! What if he has more abilities (the ones he gives to his 'first mates', so to speak) but can't use them for some reason, perhaps a mutant-related injury, or something from a scientist poking around.... Then he gives the people his powers through maybe, some sort of blood transfusion-type thing or something.... Hmm.... I'm trailing off....
