The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Oh come on, there are plenty of towns in Alaska with a population of one. Anyways, the eye/distance thing sounds good. I'm glad you came up with the limitation factor, Eris, that could cause some serious issues if we had never thought of it. So what if a mutant has constantly changing eyecolor? Would that make them immune? Perhaps that could be how they figure out that he has to be able to see their eye color to do it. A little bit of a stretch if you're just referring to distance, but if he actually has to see their eye color, it would make things a bit more interesting.
*cough* Especially since there's a member of the X-Men who would be immune to his abilities. You know, a lot of cultures believe that looking directly into someone's eyes means you can steal their soul. There's quite a bit of classical allusions to attach to his powers as well.
How about all of his victims, seeing as how they are still alive, but barely, after he does his thing, what if they've lost their eye color, and they're eyes have only white, besides the black I mean. A mark that all of those people who passed him the wrong way share.
Yes, yes! Very good! Like, they could be this real vacant, frosted over sort of color, like their eyes are glazed over, because he doesn't need to know the color of their eyes anymore because he can't leech them anymore, so he took it away from them. And it could be like, by taking their eye color he took their soul, so to speak, and then he would be able to tell them to do things for him and whatnot too, perhaps.
The strange thing is that both Eris and Glare have changing color eyes... which could affect the plot. Come to think of it... a lot of mutants do... hmmm.
I had a feeling that there had to be at least one mutant on this site with changing eyecolor, but I didn't know for sure. It's good that you're here though, that way a character doesn't have to be made up to show the school-society (or someone else perhaps) how to protect themselves from the bad guy. Have we come up with a name for him yet?
His real name is Weston Arrowny, *ten points to the person who knows where his last name is from!* However, the name he gives to himself when he decides he's the mutant messiah issss... Beatus Deus Parvulus, which roughly translate from latin as the blessed God child. But normally people will just refer to him as Parvulus.
Sound good? haha, I thought it was kind of fun to pull latin into the mix! =P
And I really like your idea Jaya, I think the people should be left as little more than mindless puppets post soul/color draining. lol, I'm getting pumped, I think I shall start working on the app actually...
And as far as other mutants who have changing eye colors, everytime Fade blinks her eye color changes. That would probably annoy the bejezus out of poor Parvulus.
Ah yes, poor Parvulus, a mutant like that would be quite unaffected by him. Do you think he knows that he has to know their eye color? or does he not understand why it doesn't work on a mutant with said power when he tries?
I think he knows that their eyecolor dissapears after he uses his powers, but I don't think he's caught on to the fact that if their eyecolor switches, he can't do it. Of course, that's working off the idea that he's never encountered a mutant with eyes that change color before... haha, which is totally possible seeing as we're the ones in control of him. =P
Hey, that app looks pretty good. I'm almost up to 200, hopefully by tomorrow I'll have it made! Yay! Baddie character, here I come! I didn't get to read the entire app you sent me, but I will soon, I'm currently trying to not get in trouble for being on the computer.
Hmm, I've never seen Carnivale, but I'll see if I can find a bio of this Brother Justin character. =P
And that's really funny! I have no idea why, but ever since I first created the character, I decided he had blue hair. *shrugs* Strange, totally unecessary for his character, but it was just a random fact I decided I had to have. lmao
Heey guys we need to change Parvulus' powers... =/
Any ideas for a new set...?
Most likely we'll need a new history and new story to his four elite people too. Back to the drawing board compadres! haha, I haven't thought of anything yet, but I thought I'd open it up to you guys so we can all ponder upon it at the same time.
