Yes so I was sitting around reading back issues of X-Menand stumbled across some old comics from the legacy virus area, I thought well there was a good plot. It features a very specific threat to mutants, allows for many different approaches to it, runs for a long time, and in the end we can sacrafice a character and bring them back years later inexplicably. I have more ideas on this but I just wanted to test the waters and see how people feel about it before I formulate and plans involving it.
Also it should allow for a wonderful amount of good mutant bad mutant confrontations, of couse the bad mutants will see it as a plague aimed at them by humans and the virus could maybe even altered to affect humans too, like it did in the comics. Well I have loads of ideas on the topic and I want to hear from others as I said, so please tell me your feelings on a Legacy Virus.
For anyone who doesn't know the viruse is a mutant-specific disease, which at first causes weakening, then unsightly blisters appear (might adjust this a little unless we like lepracy?), then, just before death, the mutants' power(s) reach thier maximum potential and explode, taking the mutant with it. Exactly how one contracts it isn't clear is it airborne, contact, what? So any ways thoughts?
I like it. We need something like this to get everyone posting together a little more, and like you said, it's an interesting plot that can be seen from many different angles. I have a plot idea of my own, which is briefly glimpsed in my character's profile and in a few of my posts, but I need to do some more research on it before i post it here. But I do like the idea Del. Everyone else better like it too! lol
Well I like it and can't wait to see what Del does with it, also I want to fiddle around and make it effect humans particurally those that seem to think that they are safe. *looks up at the Archer's post claiming he is safe*

i like the idea too...any plots that sound feasible we should go with because everyone's imagination is different and we can have many spin-offs. i'm guessing archie thinks he's safe because he is human??
I doubt he is safe, although I don't think it would be the viruse that is a danger to him, dating psyco-Ravage is more detremental to his health than any virus.
I say we go for it. It should be just what I need to get the rust off my fingers. Orion needs to flex a little and let some chaos loose now and then. Its been far too long since the last epic battle between him and Ire in the mansions backyard.
Cage will slink his way in and start his fair share of trouble. Hes been off on the side for a while. This is just the excuse he was looking for to begin his debut to the XMEN.
