The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kitra yawned, as they had been in the air for about a half an hour, she was seriously considering that nap. She wondered if Hunter would contact them during the flight. She shrugged inwardly, 'if he did he did, if he didn't then they would speak with him upon arriving at the labs.'
She settled into a more comfy position and closed her eyes and allowed herself to drift. Even if she couldn't sleep, that didn't mean she had to pay attention.

Shogun waited until he judged the aircraft was as high as it was going to go. It was hard to do when you can't look out of windows, so he watched the pilot instead to work out when he thought he stopped pulling up. He then got out of his seat, and drew his knife. The interior of the jet was surprising roomy, though he assumed that that was usual in private jets. He began doing some basic techiniques, but nothing too fancy. He didn't want the craft to turn and cause him to fall, and possibly injure himself. That, and he was in unfamiliar surroundings, with people nearby. He doubted that Antonescu would be in any mood for a fair figt if his employees got killed in an accident on the way over.
Without any warning Hunter’s voice came over the intercom. “Hello Kitra, Tris, Shogun. There has been a slight change of plans. The registration bill has been passed so instead of landing at an international airport and getting shipped off to be registered you will be landing at a private airfield of mine. From there you will be taken via helicopter to the lab. That way you should be able to avoid any unnecessary attention.”
“And Shogun, I look forward to meeting you blade to blade. This promises to be an interesting experience.” With that the intercom went silent. Unbeknownst to the passengers there were microphones about the plane so he could hear them talking.
Tris had got on board, her boundless energy seeming to be wearing off alittle........so she settled in a padded and comfortable chair opposite Kit, looked out the window for awhile, raised an eyebrow that Shogun wanted to practice his skill with sharp pointy stuff quite a ways above sea level.....then shrugged, it was important to him, his knew what he was doing, and could do what he wanted......though if his control lessened, and cut through even a wisp of hair from her head- that sword would be blown into the next century......happy with this decision, Tris then drifted into a doze.
Tris woke and came back to instant alertness when Hunter's voice chimed in loud and clear from the speakers around them- somehow, she wasn't that surprised. She listened and frowned at what she heard. After Hunter had "gone" she called to Kit in a slightly worried tone, covered by her usual sarcastic-ness; "This whole registration thing seems to be to be catching on quickly.......anyone would think the normals didn't like us or something."
After Hunter finished speaking, Kitra looked over at Tris worridly and opened her mouth to speak. She was cut short by Tris.
"This whole registration thing seems to be to be catching on quickly.......anyone would think the normals didn't like us or something."
She snorted, "Who said they liked us in the first place." This was a statement and not a question. Shaking her head, "None of them liked me even before I devoloped my talents." She grimaced, "I refuse to let myself be captured and with Hunter helping us all. No one should be caught....from the Kabal that is." Kitra grinned wickidly, "This will turn out to be very interesting indeed."

Tris's expression showed sympathy and a little anger for whoever had treated Kit that way. "Well that just shows how stupid these humans are to not recognize the amazing-ness of you."

Tris matched Kit's wicked grin with one of her own; "Oh yeah." she agreed wholeheartedly.

Shogun had gotten every word that passed between the girls, and was interested in their mention of 'normals' and 'humans', as though the were a different species. What also got his attention was the mention of the 'Kabal'. He had no idea what that was, but assumed that it was some section of Antonescu's employees. There was no outside change in him that any of these thoughts had passed through his head, or that he had heard any of their conversation, and continued to practise swordmanship. He wondered if they could set up a small archery range, but at that range it would be far too easy.
Kitra smiled gratefully at Tris for her words. Shaking her head slightly in silent, but happy laughter, she looked over at Shogun. He remained passive, still practicing his swordsmanship. Kitra settled down, as did Tris.....
Mnay hours later, Kitra woke from her nap. Tris had just woken up as well. They had landed in New York, in a private air field. She stretched and yawned and exited the plane, Tris and Shogun followed. She noted that their luggage was almost done being unloaded. She looked around curiously wondering where the helicopter was.....
