The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Her Phone was destroyed, her new gun was out of ammo and worse she was out of actual explosives. On the bright side the gun Bossman had looked bad, it might still fire but she had to try and assume it's capabilities were lessoned. It had been a costly combat to endure the brunt of the attack like that but range was a weakness for her and she had needed the odds evened. Getting behind him was the key she thought to herself though she would likely lose her surprise anyway having to cut thrue these gunman. She had to give them a hand they were good and their horrific losses they were willing to take meant they were good, but only human.
SHe felt several more shots graze her aura as she moved behind a dumpster. Aura swore heavily in Japanese a she felt the dumpster she was hiding behind move at least six yards as another dumpster struck it hard. Only the wall had prevented it from moving further. Slipping out she narrowly sucked under a drain pipe that got thrown at her. The fire escape missed her as well but blocked the entrance to the warehouse.
Aura was considering her options when a bullet struck true and Aura gave thanks to all ten of the gods and goddess she had been taught as a girl. Her feet were on the move like a wolf after a rabbit. She charged the left side of him as she had been trained so many nights. Aura figured the bossman would try and block his left side weakness with the power claw or he might understand a ruse was at hand and keep protecting his right.
Aura dove and rolled, while she did aim for the left side, her diving role gave her the perfect position and forming aura drills, from her elbows she thrust both back aiming for the back of his left knee. In Aura's mind her next target had to be his mobility and so without checking for damage, she swung hard at his other knee, the drills turning into savage axe heads. Her new position also put her in a terrible spot for the Bossman's gunaman who now had to risk shooting their boss to hit her.
The Bossman grinned. He had her now. That sniper had been dealt with or at lease surpressed and he had Aura ducking and weaving. It would take time to rebuild but perhaps Aura would be a good plaything, to be kept chained to his throne. or perhaps he would have her preserved in formaldahide as an example. Perhaps he could train her to be his pet Mutant, she would make a good replacement for Flika and Flama. It was then that the Bossman's world turned white and hot very quickly. He roared in pain, the noise broadcast through the external speakers. the sound was distraction enough for Hades to turn another sniper's head into pink mist. He had one shot left then he would have to switch to his shotgun and knives.
Thankfully Aura had taken the opening. Dodging and weaving like an expert she attacked the still dazed Bossman. The Bossman had just started to recover from overheating when he was hit again when his left knee was...we.. capped, wrecked, shredded, blended... Roaring and incoherent with pain and rage he flailed. Through the fog of pain he thought he hit something. Another impact hit his suit and his world went dark. Not that he went unconscious mind you, more like the power failed. His suit was useless and with a Hiss he triggered the manual release and crawled, bleeding from his suit. He through he had given Aura a solid taste of his power claw and hoped against all hope that he had taken her out or at least knocked her unconscious so his men could capture her. His men rallied around their leader and the snipers closed in to provide cover. They all started hunting the darkness for the slightest hint of pink.
Aura scored a direct hit on the Bossman's knee, giving Hades the perfect shot to take out his suit's power plant. With that Hades was out of ammo for his sniper, so he grabbed his shotgun and headed for the rooftops. His made record time by simply jumping out the 20th story window and then phasing just before he hit the ground. Time to end this.
Seeing the bossman's suit fail, he was hidden from her view by the closing ranks of snipers and soilders. She was in no pain from his strike but only becuse her Aura had taken the blow. Now she was tired but she had the strength to clean up. As they formed up Aura charged feeling a few bullets strike her Aura as she cut threw the arm of a man who had failed to keep up with his friends. Unfortunately for him this made him drop his weapon as well as have much worse things to consider.
She lodged an uppercut under a second man's ribcage, turning the aura sword on the end of her fist into a drill within the man, his cream dies on the night air but Aura still had no view of the bossman himself. SHe was sure she had struck well and the suit was likely finished but the pilot needed to be killed as well.
She did her best to push into he crowd, one man shot, he got lucky and the bullet struck then was diverted straight up then into one of his friend's. Aura caught a glimpse of the bossman and pounced, forming a chainsaw on her right arm, she swung. SHe knew her attack was counterable. Whoever tried would likely be horribly hurt, but their was a chance she could get to the bossman and kill him.
Hades stalked forward, shotgun in hand, it was time to end this. He was tired, bruised, bloodied, he had been shot at, slashed, stabbed and what little remorse or mercy that he might have once been capable of was long gone.
They say that Dragon;s Breath shells are intended merely for special effects. That it's uses include distress signals and for amusement. They also say that it is supposedly non-lethal and has no documented professional combat or tactical usage. None of these facts helped those that were on the receiving end of the up to 100ft long spear of flame composed, among other things, of magnesium shards burning at ~ 3,000 °F (1,650 °C). First it blinded, then seared, finally it burned. Three shots, three blinding spears of flame took care of a large number of those guarding the Bossman. Then the mag clicked empty. One thug charged Hades as he was changing clips. He promptly threw the empty mag at the attacker, who batted it aside only to receive a vicious blow via shotgun barrel to the bottom of the chin. He stumbled back only to have Hades kick him back further into another charging thug. They recovered their balance and untangled themselves just in time to hear the crisp sound of a fresh mag being locked into place and the distinct lock and load sound. Any further thoughts that they may have had left their mind along with most of its contents as Hades promptly dealt with them via a series of well aimed solid slugs. Soon there was only Aura and the Bossman left. Hades left they to it as he roamed the battlefield finishing off those that remained. The Bossman was Aura's by right.
Hades speaks in #ec4511 Thanks Ghost for the second Sig
Aura made sure the field was clear before she advanced on the bossman. SHe would never have admitted it to the bossman but without her new friend, it was likely he and his forces would have won or forced her to run. Given the numbers though running would have been hard. The planning to this attack was good, well tailored and coordinated. Their were not enough animals like this bossman out there and Aura kind of wished they were.
Aura moved over to the bossman who looked prepared to beg, but Aura without word, took his head from his shoulders in one clean swing. Aura would not soil the magnificent fight this human had managed by letting him beg. SHe then in three quick strokes carved an A in his chest.
Looking to her new friend she smiled. "You have my thanks, your skill is certainly considerable. "she said as she watched him work. He was a man who understood war and following his lead began doing the same, growing aura spikes on her feet, she kicked anyone who looked like they were breathing, making sure to aim for vital organs or necks. "I don't think i could have done this alone. " she said as she punctured a skull with a quick kick. Truth was she could use a guy like Hades fighting with her.
Evidently Aura was not one for words or pity, as Hades observed her calmly decapitate him, then proceed to carve an "A" into his chest. A little ostentatious perhaps, then again it was to make a point and stake a territorial claim.
>"You have my thanks, your skill is certainly considerable. I don't think I could have done this alone."
Hades nodded at the compliment. "Well fought. I was not expecting them to call reinforcements. Without out help it would have been....challenging."
Personally he would have take a different approach but then again he was a creature of the shadows, whereas Aura was, to couch it in modern day gaming terms, a "tank", a medium to short range troop. Hades tended to perform best at the extremes. He was an excellent marksman and sniper and very deadly in close quarters. With his mutation and constitution though, he was not designed to soak up bullets and conduct headlong charges towards the enemy. Having Aura as a potential asset had a definitive appeal. He would not be hasty however, he knew next to nothing about Aura and so was contented to discover more about her before deciding further. By wordless mutual consent they both ended up walking up side by side away from the battle scene in silence. Broken only by the occasional Pfffft as Hades calmly dispatched any moving survivors with his silenced pistol. IT was an interesting sight, a master of the shadows, an assassin walking side by side with a one woman army.
The bodies were piled high and Aura had to admit that she had fun with the fight. It had been a challenge and one that could have easily left her dead and likely would have without help. Her aura was nearly shot from the fighting and she had to assume the mutant before her had killed at least as many as she had. It was nice knowing their were such people.
{color=f700c5]"I could use someone like you to help me out. Your skill and willingness to kill would be very helpful and from what i saw of your abilities your mutation is wonderful in combat. I won't lie i favor wiping out the entire human race eventually. How to get there is another issue that will change as the situation requires. In the end my peoples survival is my goal"[/color] she said as they walked not sure how much news coverage the other mutant had watched.
"If we do not fight, then who will save the next generation? Or keep them from the need to become remorseless killers? This "" she waived her hand to indicate the carnage the pair had inflicted. "Should make us sad or bother us in some way yet to me and perhapse you it is sort of like killing cattle.....only the taste is worse" she said shaking her head and glancing at a body. It had been quite some time since she ahd tried to eat a human mostly due to their poor flavor.
Hades reflected that it would be good to have a potential ally like Aura. From what he had heard she was high up in the Order command chain.
"Aura, after fighting with you today, if you need help in the future let me know. I believe I once had the pleasure for fighting along side your brother, Abyss." He handed her a card with an email address that lead to an encrypted account. Same with the phone, it lead to an answering phone. Of course depending on what she needed his help with payment in the form of favours, money, information or material.
"I may not go as far as to advocate the extermination of the entire human race, but I know that there are challenging times ahead for mutants, especially in this city. The META program will not work. It does not matter if it gets as bad as the registration camps, there will be an increase in persecution on both sides. When will humans learn?"
Hades sighed and suspected the answer would be never.
