Individual Character's full name: Adil Cleo Alias/ Nickname/ Code name: Spectre Gender: Female Age: 19 Date of Birth: 08/08/1995 Birthplace/ Home/ Place of origin: New York, New York Nationality: Caucasian Ethnicity/ Cultural Heritage: Appearance Hair color and style: Bright Mohawk. Actual colour depends upon her whim at the time. Skin Tone: Pale Eye Color: Green Height: 5’8 Build: Muscular Visible mutation: None Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: Septum piercing 1” ears Other features: N/A Everyday clothing style: Adil is punk to the core. She’s never far from her spiked and patched leather jacket nor her black combat boots. She can usually be seen in band merchandise and ripped black jeans. Uniform: N/A Sleepwear: Whatever she’s wearing at the time. Miscellaneous clothing: She has a collection of spiked leather collars and gauntlets and an old denim backpack. Character Personality: Adil is brash, cocky and confrontational. She knows and embraces who she is and screw anyone who happens to have a problem with that. She rarely cares who she offends because their offense is their problem not hers. If she wants to listen to her music loudly on a crowded bus then that’s exactly what she’s going to do and no one is going to stop her without a good deal of effort and quite possibly a punch to the jaw. She’s quick to anger but once that anger but also quick to rush to the defense of her friends.
If Adil is a truant punk anarchist, and she’d be the first to admit that’s exactly what she is, then she’s also an educated one. She’s passionate about her politics and, if one can get past her crude exterior, she will demonstrate just how much she knows about her causes. It’s about more than just words, however, and she has very little respect for those who aren’t also willing to act. For her, it’s about fighting for the downtrodden, the unfortunate and those who aren’t able to fight for themselves. Those who serve to maintain the current order are the enemy.
Anything Adil does she does all the way. Whether it’s doing damage to the enemy or partying until she can’t stand up, anything worth doing is worth doing the right way. For those who she decides she respects, she’s loyal to a fault and will defend with violence, if need be. She takes pride in being a so-called bad influence upon others because she feels she’s teaching people to live who never really understood what living truly meant.
Hobbies/ Interests: Playing guitar, singing, punk music, partying, drinking, drawing Job or part time job and description: Busking Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Being forced into a lifelong role that goes against her beliefs. Special talents: Singing and playing guitar Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Chaotic, probably leaning towards chaotic evil. Adil is strongly anti-authority and has no compunction against breaking the law or punching someone out if the circumstances call for it. She sees herself as a sort of freedom fighter and sometimes a few laws and/or faces need to be broken in order to take a stand for the things that matter. Mutations Mutation description: Shadow Form – Adil can become her own shadow. Her physical body, including her clothing and any small objects upon her person, melt into her shadow. Once in shadow form, she becomes a 2D being and can control the shape in which her shadow takes. Strengths:
There are several advantages to being able to become a living shadow.
As a 2D being, Adil is able to travel places normal 3D beings cannot. She can, for example, travel underneath a door or across walls or ceilings.
In shadow form, Adil is immune to most forms of physical damage. She cannot be cut, struck or stabbed. Elemental or energy attacks from such as fireballs or being frozen are still capable of harming her.
So long as the size of the shadow remains natural, the exact form of the shadow can be manipulated in any way Adil chooses. She could, for example, make it appear to match that of a lamp or change its appearance into a shadow monster.
Adil can remain in shadow form for as long as it is possible for natural shadows to exist.
Clothing and small objects on her person shift with her.
Weaknesses and Limitations:
As a 2D being, Adil cannot directly interact with the physical world in any fashion. She is, in essence, a passive observer.
It is only possible to exist in areas where natural shadow can exist or to travel through areas in which natural shadow exists. Should it abruptly become impossible for natural shadows to exist, Adil would be forced back into her natural form. If she was presently high up such as on a ceiling or a wall, there is some risk of being injured in the fall.
Generally speaking, Adil can only exist in shadow form where natural shadow can exist. However, she need not obey the natural rules of a shadow being linked to something that physically exists to produce a shadow. That is to say, if she is in a room with enough light and dark such that shadows could exist in the room she can assume shadow form. Her shadow form does not, however, need to be attached to a chair or a wall specifically, but can travel through the center of the room. Generally speaking, natural shadows must be able to exist within 10 ft of Adil in order to travel through a specific area. Should she abruptly move out from such an area or a light be abruptly turned on or off in order to prevent this from happening, she will be immediately reverted to her natural form.
When travelling in shadow form, her rate of movement is equal to that of standard walking pace. She can travel through small areas of complete darkness, roughly 10 ft., so long as she continues moving through them. Any more and she would revert back to human form. If she halts in any such area, she would revert back to human form.
Elemental or energy attacks are just as effective while in shadow form as while in human form.
It takes roughly 30 seconds for Adil to fully merge with her shadow during which time she is vulnerable.
Physical Abilities General Physical Capabilities: Adil has above average strength and stamina although she’s not especially fast or flexible.
Fighting Style: Adil is a brawler, pure and simple. If someone makes her mad, she’ll punch them in the fact without a second thought. She has no actual training at all, just what she’s picked up through brawls and fights over time.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Those with real training are likely to get the best of her. She’s picked up enough experience along the way that in most other cases she can take care of herself. That and the fact that she has no compunction against fighting dirty. History Of Your Character
Adil was born as the youngest of three to her mother, Candi Cleo. She never knew who her father was nor did either of her brothers, Mark and Darren. What she did know was that all three of them were fathered by different men and not one of those men ever did anything for their family. It was likely that none of the three fathers ever knew that they had children of their own, at least not with Candi.
Adil’s early life wasn’t an easy one. Her mother was a prostitute and some of her first memories involved her mother bringing home strange men in the middle of the night and her being locked into her room. Her brothers, both more than a decade older than she, were rarely around during that time of her life. As unusual as her life was at that time, however, those early years were better than the later progression of her life. At least she didn’t go hungry. Most of the time. Nor did she often see violence.
It was shortly after Adil turned 10 that her mother got trapped in the cycle of addiction and that was when things started going downhill. Before getting sick, her mother had always tried to be good to her daughter, making sure she had food and shelter and someone she could talk to when she needed an ear. Once lost in the depths of intoxication and need those became her priorities and, gradually, her daughter’s well-being became second to the needs of her drugs. The men she brought home became less savory and, some nights she never came home at all.
Adil was only 13 when she ran away from home to live on the streets. Her mother hadn’t been home for 3 nights and she was hungry. The life she lived was no life at all and in her young mind, the streets could be no worse than the place that was home in little more than word alone. She was one of the lucky ones, finding a den of street kids for protection who became more of her family than her actual blood relatives ever were. For most of the next 6 years of her life she went from punk house to homeless shelter to abandoned buildings, making the most of her life as a street kid. Mostly, she panhandled and busked for food and, when that proved inadequate, she would steal what she needed to survive. Adil was 15 when she first discovered she was a mutant. She was in a convenience store and her friends were supposed to be running interference and distraction while she pocketed what food she could. Unfortunately the owner spotted her anyway and pulled a gun on her. In fear for her life, something triggered and she found herself on the ground but not in any way she understood. In the confusion of the moment, both herself and her gang fled the scene and she eventually returned to her physical form.
In any other circumstances and with any other group of people, Adil might have had a problem being a mutant and might have been shunned by her social circle. However, she wasn’t the only mutant to number among them and besides which, they were family in all the ways that actually mattered. Mostly, they embraced what she was and put her talents to use in the continued survival of the tribe.
Adil’s daily life has little changed over the passing of the last several years. She continues to live as she has, continues to party when she can and continues to support her chosen family. Taking the anarchist punk credo to heart, only recently has she begun to look into mutant struggles and mutant rights.

Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: Nope [ b]Sample RP:[/b]
Adil sat on a street corner in the middle of downtown New York. In her hands she held a tattered book and in front of her was a sign asking change for beer and a hat. Beside her were her two brothers, Bear and Dio. They weren’t her brothers by birth, of course; she hadn’t seen them in years. But they had been with her for as long as anyone else in her life had been with her. They were brothers by blood and experience and had the scars to prove it.
Hearing the clink of change falling into their hat, Adil looked up from her book. “Thanks.” She barely got a response back from the strangers. She knew how they were viewed, no good street punk kids. They were the ones always causing trouble, the ones who were ruining the world. Or so the straights would have you believe, anyway. She felt differently, of course. If nothing else, they were the ones making the world a more interesting place.
A businessman in a very expensive suite walked by giving the trio of teens a disdainful look. In response Adil offered him the finger. “Bet we have more fun than you!” The man walked past in a hurried fashion and the three street kids snickered.
