As much as she longs for the company of others, she is afraid to get attached to people for she might end up hurting them. She believes that, by not giving into her caring compassionate side, she is actually helping them more then if she were to get up and actually do so. However, if it is obvious some one needs her help, she cannot just sit back and do nothing. If it is to help someone, whether they be human, mutant, or adapted, she will help them even at the risk of her own life if it is to save their own. Elora, however, is easily intimidated. She will back down from a fight, mainly because she currently does not have any knowledge of how to fight. Even so, she rarely has a reason to fight anyone for she does not hold a grudge. Even before she discovered her mutation, she was unable to hold a grudge. She has low self esteem and is constantly too mad at herself to be mad about other people. Mutations
Mutation description: Haphephobia/Touch of Fear: Learning at a young age, Elora learned that she had the rare ability to transport peoples mental beings to a world she could only call a fear landscape. this ability forces those she touches to face their worst fears. However,it only changes their mental perspective. They see only their fear landscape, however, their bodies are unaware that they are in reality. The person suffering from this touch of fear thinks they are truly in this "Fear landscape". If the person where to be afraid of spiders, and attempt to punch a spider, in the real world they end up punching a wall, or possibly a different thing or person. One might confuse a robber for their best friend, or so on. However, this effect tends to not last very long, only lasting for a few minutes or so, depending on how long she had touched them, This "fear landscape" only alters the world in the victims head just enough so thay their worst fears appear. It does not change the actual landscape around them, meaning that if infected, it would be as if your biggest fears just popped out, or started happening in what ever place you were already in. (So people won't be running into unseeable walls and what not, unless thats your biggest fear or you just want to) Strengths: Elora is able to control up to three people without being forced into a shut down like state, and she is able to inflict both humans and mutant with her ability, not that she would want to. The ability alters reality for the infected, and for a limited time, it makes them believe they are actually facing their actual fears. Real life things appear to them as enemies, meaning they may end up attacking their own friends out of confusion. Weaknesses and Limitations: Elora has no control over when this power is activated. Any person who touches her is forced into this fear landscape if they touch her skin. As her ability activated her eyes glow a dark, sinister purple revealing that she is in fact a mutant, and the one at fault for the victims strange actions. Elora also unable to see, or control any aspect of the fear landscape, meaning she can not figure out the fears of those trapped. She is even unaware of the landscape herself, fore she has never been in one. The fear landscapes are also not fool proof, for there are three ways that someone can get out of them. The first is simply waiting it out. The second is to conquer which ever one of your many fears that the fear land scape is forcing you to face, and the third is to some how self inflict pain on yourself. If someone else injures you, it will not work and will most likely only cause you even more terror. However, if Elora infects over three people at once, her mutant gene will start to panic, and shut her down causing her to pass out until all of the infected are freed.

History Of Your Character Elora was born and raised in a small little town in North Carolina. Her mother, Martha, was a single mother who had lost her husband shortly after giving birth to Elora. However, when Elora was first born, there was little evidence that she was a mutant. He eye color was yet to change, and the fact that she could absorbe matter wasn't even a visible thing up until her early teens. However, that was for the best. the town she grew up in was a very, religious one. Almost everyone there was a baptist, and they all believed that the mutant gene was the cause of satan putting demons in the bodies of poor, innocent people. Eloras mother was one of these people. Each day, from the time Elora could speak, she went through bible study classes, learning about g-d and all of his creations. She also learned that mutants were evil demons come to destroy g-ds work. However, these ideas didn't stick to her as they did other people. She could never understand how the others could get brainwashed and carried away with such viscous lies. She was well aware of science, and even as a ten year old she knew that the mutant gene was nothing more then a genetic mutation, not the work of some under ground demon. Of course, being the smart girl that she was, she kept her views to herself in fear of discrimination. However, little did she know that being an atheist was the least of her worries. At the age of fourteen, she was walking home from school. She was taking a shortcut through the woods when a man came out of no where. He put a blade up to her neck, and Elora could here the sound of the man chuckle. She was wearing a sleeveless shirt, and the man reached down and touched her shoulder. Eloras eyes began to glow a bright purple, however, the man was to enticed by his own thoughts to notice. He whispered something in her ear, however she was too startled to realize what he was saying. Her eyes were wide as the man patted her shoulder, and moved the knife away from her neck just enough so that it wasn't cutting into her neck as it was before. Before the man had a chance to speak, he let go of her shoulder. Elora turned around quickly to see what he was doing, but she only took a step back as the man began to scream in fear. "Get away form me!" he shouted, backing up. "Don't touch me!" he yelled in pain and Elora looked around, both scared and confused about what was going on. It was then she didn't think, instead, she ran. She ran as fast as she could, ignoring the mans screams of agony. How did she do that? Tears rushed from Eloras face as she quickly got home. She wanted to cry out to her mother, however, she knew she could not tell her what happened. Elora might have not known what her abilities were, but she was aware that it was a genetic mutation, and that the people of her town would much sooner have her killed then let her leave freely. Elora decided to stay in the town, however, she was never the same after that week. She had done some experimenting, and after touching various animals, realized that she was making things cower in fear just by touching them. Elora was never the same free flowing spirit as she was before. She know longer wore shorts, or short sleeve shirts,. Instead it was hoodies and long dresses. She wore gloves, however, was still sociable. She thought that as long as she didn't touch anyone with her skin, no harm done. And it worked, however not for long. Shortly after her 15th birthday, some of the other school girls began to ask her questions about her change in clothing. Elora answered them by stating that she had merely had a change in heart, however, they were persistent. She attempted to get away however one of the girls grabbed her wrist and ripped off her glove. Eloras eyes began to glow a violet color and the girl chuckled. "Shes a witch!" the girl yelled, gripping Eloras hand tight. "Look at her eyes, someone kill her! Quick! Before she can summon the devil!" The entire class began to mutter to each other, "A witch?" they all muttered. "Yeah she must be." Elora merely shook her head and attempted to push the girl off, however, it was too late at this point. the girls eyes widened as they began to glaze over, just like the man from the woods. "Get them off of me!" the girl screamed. Everyone looked around, both confused and startled about what was happening. "What did you do to her!" Everyone in the classroom screamed, and Elora watched in shock as everything quickly went to chaos. She screamed in fear herself as she ran out of the room. She was terrified, everyone now knew, and they would all tell the rest of the town citizens. She busted through her house door and ran to her room. She dumped out her back pack and filled it to the brim with clothing and other necessities, and left. her mother walked to the front door, dropped the phone to the ground with a shot gun in her hand. Elora just shook her head as her mother lifted it up. "My baby..." Her mother muttered as she aimed the shot gun, "My poor baby, turned into a servant of Salem and the Devil..." Elora jumped out of the way just in time, and as her mom loaded another round, she pushed her out of the way and ran out of the house. Elora then backpacked, even after her birthday, she hitched ride after ride in order to get as far away from north carolina as she could, not caring were she was taken. However, she ended up in new york city, and is now searching for a new place to call home.
Roleplay Where did you learn about this site?: Google Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: No Sample RP: The sky above her appeared almost empty, however it was just an illusion. The sky above swirled around in a mosh bit of clouds, nothing Salem wasn't used too. She was almost hoping it would snow, however, she was also afraid of her book getting wet which she was reading on a park bench. She gave a slight, awkward smile to the family which was walking past her, waving hello to be friendly. She gave a tip of the hat and sighed as she looked back down as her book, which was currently on her lap. Elora then reached down, giving a sigh of relief as the family left and she turned a page of her book. "Good thing books don't have brains..." she muttered to herself as she reached behind her hat and scratched the back of her head. As she put her hands back down over her book, she once again had to look at her hands. They were bare skin, which only made her shiver. Smeone had stolen her gloves awhile back, meaning she had to be extra sure to not touch anyone by accident or on purpose. She quickly brushed the hair from her face and then began to hear the sound of stomping feet. She looked up, and saw a dog running right towards her. Her eyes widened a bit as she grabbed the book from her lap and leaped out of the seat. The dog which had ran past her ducked under the bench, its tail and leash flying behind it. "That was close..." She spoke, looking around for the dogs owner. "I wonder who that dog belonged too..." it was then the dog came back around and knocked her in the back of the knee. Her book went flying into the air as she hit the ground. As she scratched the back of her head she noticed as the book hit the ground. "damn it..." she muttered, not even trying to get back up. "Are you okay miss!" a man shouted, running up to her with the dog that attacked her in his hands. "I'm so sorry!" the man shouted, reaching down and grabbing her hand. "Let me help you up." "No don't!" she shouted, however, her eyes began to glow and the man dropped his dog. "Whats happening!" he shouted, taking a few staps back and backing into a tree. He turned around, and at the mere sight of the tree he let out a shout and began to run away. "Get away from!" he shouted. "I'm sorry!" Elora spoke, walking over to the dog, and looking as his collar. "He'll snap out of it soon, they usually do..." She told the dog. "However he might not remember where he left you." She gave a sigh, and grabbed the dogs leash without touching the actual dog."Lets go bring you home..." She muttered, picking up her book before she want on a search for the mans house
