The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ted found that he was bunked with Michael and Silver, which was great, and that one of the smart-asses from before was bunked next to them, which wasn't so great. Ted put his dogtag on, which read "Ted Thorn". Original. Ted deftly caught the bread through at him, and without thinking just bit straight into it. He was able to get a chunk off, but it hurt. A lot. "Ow. Is this food, or one of the punishments?"

The guards finished passing out what seemed to be off the menu for today but nobody could tell wither this stuff was once cooked and left out for an extreamly long period of time. Or if it was something they just found out in the yard and thought it looked like a piece of bread. As soon as the guards left the room and for the first time the mutants were left alone. Jason walked up to Ted, Michael and this other fellow and began to speak. "Now look, I no that between the three of you, yall could all give one shit about me. But Im offering a pact." He said towards the three men. "Now i know i aint been the nicest guy and said some things that you aint agree with but how would it look if we was all friends. And if we keep it like that, out in they open having them think we hate each other they would never expect anything." He said offering his hand out in a truth. "I don't know about you guys but I don't plan on staying here any longer then i have to."
Michael turned to the jackass and listen patiently to his offer. “No,” he answered flatly when the man was done, “and here’s why. You’ve got no self control, and without that you’ll be nothing but a liability to us.” There was more, but he wouldn’t say it incase anyone else was listening.
Instead he went back to trying to eat the rock hard bread. For him it was only difficult, not painful, but all the same, he wished the guards had given them some decent food. Still, at least that had given them food, beggars can’t be choosers.
Ted was in full agreeance with Michael, but his reason was largely because he just didn't like the guy. But he didn't get a chance to voice his opinion, as the some more guards came into the room and stood by the door. "Looks like we don't get a lot of privacy." One of the guards bellowed at them to keep quiet, and Ted refrained from pointing out the inrony of shouting the words 'be quiet'. But he kinda hoped that Mr. Liability would show his lack of self control and do it for them.

Jason just shook his head. He didn't like Michael, but he aint think he was that stupid and by that response he started to have second thoughts about how smart he just was. Jason just stood there with a look of disbelief but before he could say a word the guards started to come in telling them to shut the hell up. With that Jason dropped his hand and turned to his bed. Putting both hands on the top bunk he just hovered over his bed wondering for how long he was gonna be able to keep him self from really getting in trouble. Pulling the sheets back Jason fluffed up his pillow and layed down trying to relaxed as much as possible slid his hands behind his back and let out a long sigh. "Well Ted, I hope you don't feel the same way over there..." And with that closed his eyes and tried to get some sleep before the were forced to do whateva was set for them to do next.
OOC: Question about the bracelets: do they have some sort of homing beacon/GPS so the guards/Stalkers always know exactly where we are?
IC: Jack-ass number 2 wandered in, and surprisingly he seemed to have learnt to not annoy everyone within earshot as soon as possible. He then revealed that he had some vitamins to last them a few days. Ted wasn't sure, if the guards found out they would all be in big trouble. It reminded him of his days in school, trying to smuggle stuff into class that you weren't supposed to. Only this time, it wasn't just a detention if they got caught.
Ted sat up as the PA ended. "Oh joy, more 'food'." A guard smacked him in the stomach, causing him to double over. in pain. "Shut up, you mutie freak!" But Ted was listening, he was busy. He could feel the beast inside him, trying to force it's way out, and he struggled with it inside his minds. With his eyes closed, he could see himself in his mind, fighting the beast as it tryed to force him into the cage. But as the pain subsided, the beast decreased in size and strength, until Ted was able to spin it around and thrust it into the cage.
Upon opening his eyes, he found that he was already in the line, and it was moving toward the lunch hall. Apparently someone had lead him into the line during his inner battle (OOC: if anyone wants to be that guy, feel free). They were lead into the mess hall, and he saw a pane of glass sliced the room in half. The girls were on the other side, and Ted was about to shout to them when an important looking guard shouted over, explaining that it was sound-proof and that alking in here was to be kept to a minimum. Great. Ted grabbed a tray, his stomach still hurting, and was served some... slop? He couldn't think of anything else to call it as he sat down at a table that was next to the one with ricity and Natalie on. Well, it would have been next to if not for the glass. He gave them a little wave, and received a clout round the back of the head from a guard. "Keep yours eyes away from the ladies, mutie, else next ladie you'll be seeing is an overweight nurse." Ted rubbed the back of his head, which was throbbing quite badly, and without thinking took a big spoonful of the slop. Suddunly realising what he was doing, he was about to spit it back out, but then realised that it didn't taste all that bad. I could live off this for a while. It certainly wasn't gourmet, but at least it was edible. He continued eating, remembering how he and Wallace would have dinner in their room sometimes.
CRAP! Wallace! Oh god, what had happened to him? Ted had left him in his room before going out and getting caught. What could have happened to the little guy?

Ah, it was time to eat, thank god that extra stale bread they was given wasn't the real main course. Jason sat up and swung his feet off the bed and stood up. As Jason made it to his feet he watched a guard sucker punch Ted in the gut. Now honestly something was wrong cause any man that got hit like that would defend him self in a heart beat but for some reason Ted just found his way to the ground. Before he could fall over Jason swooped in the help... a little slow so Jason ended up helping him off the ground instead. "Hang in there. This cant go on much longer." Jason said helping Ted up off the ground. But Jason got no response. It was like Ted was off in La La land and he wasn't coming back anytime soon. Jason looked over at Michael. "Hey young buck, you wanna give me a hand with your body before he gets him self in to some more trouble." and with those words passed the care on to him. As they made it to the mess hall Jason realized that Ted was back in reality and seemed to be doing a bit better. They all made there way in to the mess hall smelling the food as if they aint ate in weeks. But the Jason the smell was more like its been sitting around for weeks. Then out the corner of his eye Jason saw the woman. Only problem was before he could do anything he over heard part of a conversation saying something like the room was sound proof and just kilt any spirt had left... and trust me it wasn't much there. Then Jason remembered. The new kid working here had a soft spot for people and just might be able to help him out. Hmm what could he do... Jason just sat there and ate his food didn't like the taste but new he would soon need some energy.

Michael saw Ted go down and fearing the worst checked around at the guards. The one that had hit him was walking away, so Michael should be able to reach Ted before he transformed and attacked. Jason got there first. Luckily for him Ted seemed to be fighting the transformation. Michael was already moving when Jason asked for help, and then buggered off as soon as Michael took Ted.
Guiding Ted over to where the girls were he took a seat next to him and began to eat his slop. As he did so he looked around at the guards. He was sussing out their positions, and how alert each one was. Also he was trying to discern any sort of hierarchy among the guards, anything that he could use against them.
As Ted kept on eating, he noticed Neena walk in and start cleaning up what looked like a horrible mess. Wait, was that... naw. No way was that... woah. That was a lot of blood. How the hell did that happen? And why was Neena cleaning it up? Well, actually, she was probably just the closest one to it at the time, and a guard 'convinced' her that it would be a good idea. He noticed Michael looking around. "What you looking for?"

“I’m surveying the scene,” Michael replied in a barely audible whisper. He knew that Ted had good hearing, so didn’t need to speak up. His lips barely moved as he answered, “I’m checking to see where all the guards are, whether they stand still or patrol, whether they’re focused or distracted. We need to know everything we can about this place if we plan to escape. If we can’t deal with the humans then how can we hope to deal with the Stalkers?”
Michael kept his head down, appearing defeatist, but his eyes continued to rove the room, looking for anything and everything. “Next meal sit opposite me,” he said to Ted, “That way we can survey the whole room without them noticing.”
His eyes roved over to the girls’ side of the room to check whether any of their guards were looking over towards them when his gaze fell upon Emerald. For the first time since entering the camp his mind turned to something other than how to escape. He’d felt so happy when he awoke in that truck to find the wolf girl nowhere to be found, only for that to be washed away when he saw her stagger into the room sporting all sorts of wounds.
She was what he was most concerned about. He knew that he was able to remain objective as unless the guards took to randomly electrocuting him he was unaffected by the casual brutality in the camps. It was clear that Ted was struggling not to fight back, as was Silver. Jason and Shrapnel seemed unable to restrain themselves, and as such both were in danger of becoming nothing more than a bloody mess.
Emerald was strong willed, and would not be put down. As such it was almost inevitable that she’d try and fight back, and right now that was no help to anyone. However, logic often lost out to passion, and with Ruby over there with her passion would likely be in ample supply. He offered her a brief smile before retuning to his scans of the room.
Ah, enhanced hearing. Gotta love it. He refrained from mentioning that he had sat down first, and Michael had chosen to sit next to him. He doubted that it would be very helpful. He noticed Michael suddenly focus on the girls side of the room, and a quick glance showed that his attention was directed at emerald. In more innocent circumstances, he would have teased Michael by claiming he was in love and probably receive a friendly smack round the head or similar (depending on how Michael responds to teasing). But again, he doubted that right now, it would be very helpful. It wasn't exactly his buisness either.
He noticed that Michael was back to his scanning. Ted joined in, using all of his subtley. Surprising, he didn't receive another smack round the head. He was more subtle than he thought. Whispering only slightly louder than Michael had done, what with Michael only being invincible and not have the same awesome hearing, "so what exactly are we looking for?"

“Mainly the guards,” Michael answered in a whisper, “Where they are and what they are doing. Most importantly, do the constantly pay attention or slack off. Also how tolerant are they, how far can you push things before they resort to violence. Fortunately we have a pair of knuckleheads that can answer that for us.”
“The guards on the girls’ side need to be watched too. Determine whether or not they are watching us and how quickly they can get from there to here. Also exits and entrances need to be determined. Where are they, how many guards can pour through them at once and how easy are they to block up.”
“This doesn’t go for just here, all over the camp we need to keep our eyes peeled. We need to know everything that we can. First off focus on the human guards, no point worrying about the Stalkers unless we can’t get past them. They currently hold all the cards, we need to steal a few back in terms of information before making our play.”
Ted nodded at Michael. "Right. Wait, what are Stalkers? Are they those robot things?" He wasn't sure if they were, or if they were more guards on the ouside, possibly weilding sniper rifles and such like to pick off anyone that breaks free of the camp. Then one of said knuckleheads decided to come sit with them. "How can we possibly trust you? All you've done is made things worse, so piss off." Ted was not about to let any potential plans go awry. For all he knew, this guy was on the guards side, and he planned on going to the infirmary lots so that he can tell the guards everything he knows in peace. Actually, the possibility of their being someone like that was something he would have to discuss with Michael. But he'd do it later, when said possibility was not around to hear.

Jason could not get over what he was listening to. Here both him and Shrapnel were trying to set aside any feelings they had aside to at least make a truth till everybody was on the outside of these walls. Jason just sat there shaking his head giving a faint laugh towards the three men. "Ha, here we are trying to set our egos a side to help you and ... " Jason stopped as talking as the guards got closer. Then when he thought they were no longer in ear shy he began again. "To help you and all you can do is speak to us as if were some kinda of threat to you." Jason stood up. So little buddy you said its a coed clinic huh. Well well this should be worth it then. Jason looked over at Ted. You know i really wanted be of some help to you guys. But i kinda owe you something." With those words Jason balled up his fist and swung hit Ted as hard as he could before the rest of the guards could come over to "Break up the fight". No sooner did Jasons' hand connect to Teds jaw did Jason feel a club to the back of the head. As the room got dark all Jason could do is think "here we go aga..."
