The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Emerald nodded nad morphed into her wolf form. She sniffed the ground and began leading them down the middle corridor, it was were all the mutants were kept. Each cell had a nameplate next to it with the project number and name, but in small letters next to the project name was thier real names.
Also each cell had a pile of hay inside it, a toliet and a tray for what it seemed to be food. No blankets, No comfort whatsoever.
Emerald ran ahead before retrieving a file in her mouth, dropping it infront of Daria's feet.
"Its a list of how many mutants they put the green stone in."

Daria knelt and picked up the file, opening it and looking.
"If memory serves me correctly, then these mutant call numbers match the numbers on the export file i downloaded. The mutants with stones were sent all over the place."
She thought and tried to wonder where her stone had come from. She hadn't ever been near this place before.
"Is there any chance that there's a file on the insertion or removal techniques?" Mike mused, perusing the file, then turning back to studying the cells and nameplates. Call it morbid curiosity, but he felt an affinity to the tortured spirits haunting this place, he couldn't help but try to relate to them a little more.
"Thats not the only file we are looking for, tell me when you are done going through that so we can find the rest of the files." Emerald said hastialy.
The reason why the wolf girl was in such a hurry was because the cell ahead used to be hers. The plaque with her name was covered in dust, making it almost invisible to the naked eye.
Much like the rest of the cells Emerald's cell had the pile of hay and the toliet but unlike the other cells Emerald's had blood splattered upon the walls and it also had a whip hanging on the loop outside the cell.

Daria immediatley matched the scents and petted Emerald on the head.
"I'm sorry." was all she could say as she tucked the file into her backpack. Something rattled in the distance and Daria saw shadows pass along the far wall.
"Okay, am I the only one who caught that?" she asked.
"No I saw it to." Emerald growled, furs standing on end. "Ethier we got a mad specter on our hands or someone is following us, Ethier way we still have got to get the documents, they could help us big time."
The wolf girl smelt the air trying to catch a scent of something. "Why cant I smeel anything?"
"Let's not worry about it... let's just get the files. Anything coming at us has to get past my mind and through a telekinetic field first, so we'll have warning."
Nevertheless, Mike looked warily over his shoulder as they walked.
"Well I dont thin you like the next place to much ethier. " Emerald stated, as she began to lead them down corridors again. She looked at the door that they were about to enter.
"PAIN ROOM. DO NOT ENTER UNLESS IF ONE HAS AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE 'GOOD' DOCTOR." The sign on the door read.
Emerald looked at the door for a moment, slighlty trembling at the memory before going into the office next to it. She came out once again, retrieving a laptop computer that held all the experiment files.

Daria grinned.
She grabbed the laptop and hooked it up to her own laptop.
"Mike, I forgot. Could you let Tricity know we're here?" she said. She had given them each one of the portable two way radios Tricity had given her when she was appointed Tech Specialist for the team. Her's was clipped to her hip.
After plugging in the USBcord she watched the files download, periodically sniffing the air for whomever was watching.
Emerald sat patiently on the ground, waiting for Daria to be done so they could continue therye treck through her version ofhell. She kept her eyes and ears open and kept sniffing the air for any body.
((Cass Dar Me gotta go! Cass do that capture post we discussed in the pms, I will be on tommrow during the day and proably at night.))
As she sniffed, she might, just might, get a whiff of something different, something... wrong. But even as she smelled it, it would be too late.
Emerald was the first to fall as the gas seeped into the room. Cass was second, as he rushed over to see what was going on, running fully into the expanding cloud of invisible gas, and last of all was Daria... for she wasn't directly in line with the air vents, but when they are between you and the only exit, it tends to not matter if you're directly in the line of fire.
She would, however, be the first to awaken, her mind too foggy to teleport, strapped to a strange table. On one side of her, Emerald struggled against similar bonds, and on the other side Mike lay barely conscious, an empty needle sitting on a tray next to him showing the clear reason for his state.
The only other person in the room was a man who was sorting through a tray of obviously sinister tools. He wore a tattered coat that marked him as some sort of doctor or scientist... bu that wasn't a comforting realization.
