Daria grinned.
"I handle everything well when you're helping me." she grinned. A few seconds later she yawned. The words she had said to Sean had been the most she'd spoken in a few hours, it was odd to hear her own voice again.
"Nice day, huh?" she joked.

Mike smiled slightly. "I didn't do anything, I just stood there. That was aaaaall you." The car pulled up, that familiar driver driving it.
Mike sighed. "Ready for a happy five-hour drive back home?"

Daria stood.
"Yeah." she nodded smiling. the word had been so unfamilair for a while as she always thought D.C would be her abode. "Let's go home."
Mike walked her to the car.

They settled into the back seat of the car, their luggage stored in the trunk. "I wish I'd just paid for the limo," Mike muttered as they tried to get comfortable in the back seat.
The ride back was uneventful. Mike found himself unable to sleep, while Daria drifted in and out throughout the ride. After a brief stop at a waffle house for a quick breakfast, they found themselves back at the mansion in the very early morning... leaving DC finally behind.
