The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*Del who is in the bathroom smiles at Siren's joke, as she puts on the earings.* I'm sure they will, after all I love the ring you gave me with the Opals for my birthday, and the necklace last year. *Del says looking at her self in the mirrior, and then because she knew Siren wouldn't walk in she looked down at her hand with the Opals on it and moved it one finger over for just a minute, and the quickly put it back. Exiting the bathroom she pauses for Siren, and lifts her messy hair up so he can see the studs in her ears better with only a few ringletts framing her face.*
At that moment, Del and Siren in a warm embrace with their three highchaired kids behind them, Del's dad, James, walks a little blearry eyed from the bedroom to the bathroom. He gets to the bathroom door and pauses as his mind works out what he just saw. In honor of the holiday he bites his tounge, against his better judgement. "Get a room." He grumbles, instead.
Better use the kitchen sink since my father is now in the bathroom. *Del says trying hard not to think of what was just said between her live in boyfriend and her father as she picks up a baby and scoot the highchaired remaining baby to the sink also.*
Aria laughs as her highchair is pulled over to the sink- Wheee! Moving chair! Siren turns the water on, and tests it under this finger. "So can we stay for breakfast, or what's the deal?"
Well we need an hour to pack, and an hour to drive to the airport, plus car return and check in. We should leave here by 12 o'clock and it is a little after nine thirty right now. We could have breakfast quickly I guess. *Del says figuring all the spare time they have.*
"Well... It's just, I thought we came up here to spend Christmas with your family. It's now Christmas, and you want to leave. It's a bit confusing is all." He starts to wash down Apollo.
We're leaving today because we talked about it a few days ago when Christine first showed up and when I called to get us a ride back to the institute this was the only time anyone would be in the area for a while. *Del points out, also not very happy about taking off on Christmas Day.*
*Del gets to work washing up little ones and then using dish towels to dry them off. She hauls off the two she has to the bedroom to get new diapers yet again and to get on day clothes.*
*Del soon has them all dressed and in their pen while she starts going through her luggage checking she has all her stuff as she packes everything up for the trip home.*
Siren helps by keeping the kids amused when they start to get annoyed, and generally just doing what Delphi tells him to. Once they're all set, he looks around. "So what- goodbyes up at the main house now?"
Yeah, well my parents first. *Del says as she and Siren stand in the livingroom with their luggage and the kids.* Mom, dad? *Del calls.*
Del's parents appear from the kitchen they both have steaming cups of coffee. "Taking off now sweetie?" Del's mother asks. "Too bad you two have to go now." Del's dad says.
Yep, we booked our flights so late this is all they had that got us back in time for school to start that didn't cost an arm and a leg. *Del fibbs to her parents.*
