The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The babies are more than happy to be passed, and grab and babble happily at everyone. Harmony feels the need to call at least two people "Daddie!" Siren simply sits and listens to their stories, and plays the piano.
*Soon the evening dissolves into old stories about escapades of the past. Some one raids the kitchen for junk food and snacks. And cards and dice appear. Then Del feels the kids being antzy. She stands up.* Sorry I've got to do a diaper run and dinner time for the babies. *She lifts Harmony up and does her first.* Siren, you can keep playing I can cover it if you want.
*Del smiles back at Siren.* Ok sweetie. *She rotates kids and Cassie, who has a three year old gets up and works on food without being asked. So Del hands over kids to her and a conveyer belt style.*
*Del and Cassie are off in the corner chatting.* So how old is Drew now?
"Three and a half. And running me wild."
You think one is bad I can only imagine how I'll do with three.
Meanwhile Mike is having fun sharing some stories with Siren, "Best time I ever had was with these two chicks Deana and Bobbie-or Brie, I can never remember. Any ways one of their fathers had a big cabin up in the rockies, and it had a huge fireplace and this big bear skin rug." Mike starts in on another tale.
"Thirty-five names." Siren clearifies. "And I don't want any crap about it. Of those 35 I can remember, I'm only really required to remember like, 12 of them." He's playing a sort of light jazz.
"What are you on a football team or something?" John asks, a little confused.
"No dumbass, women one can remember." Mike says patting Johnny on the head, "Our little boy here is engaged to his sweet heart from college, so he has been with . . .how many? Oh yes, no women." Mike harasses.
