”Art huh?” Sam asked walking down the hallway looking back at Masque with his good eye, ”Yeah, we can get you a GED at least, and from there like I said we can help you out if you want to further your education. Hell, if you are any good at art we might even be able to get you a teaching position here. Hopefully you are good with kids. Until that time though just try to relax a bit and comfortable here.” Sam walked down towards the end of the hallway and stop before the second to last room.
”The former mansionite that lived here ended up going to one of the local colleges. He moved last month meaning you got the room all to yourself.” Sam said opening the door with a turn of the knob and a quick push. The door opened revealing all the furniture still in tact and a small but nice bathroom attached to the room. ”and don’t mention it. Mutants got to loo out for each other. Wasn’t to long ago I was in your shoes.” Sam said nodding his head, lived on the streets for a while till Neena took me in here.”[/color] Sam said remembering the situation fondly.
”She gave me a place to sleep, some food to eat and pointed me in the direction of one of the girls here.” Sam said with a smirk. Alright so the last part didn’t happen but he always joked that Neena was a great wing woman. ”Well this is your room. Anything else before I let you take a look around?”

The prospect of actually graduating was not something Masque had properly considered for many years. With his life the way it was, such just didn't seem realistic. But now that things had changed, well, it was looking like a realistic possibility after all. It was difficult to say how that might change his life, if at all. 'It might be hard to teach given that I can't talk,' he wrote with a smile. He might have been proficient communicating despite his disability but teaching seemed like another thing entirely.
Masque followed Sam as he was showed his new room. It was larger than his present dwelling, which said something about where he had been forced to live. It also had its own bathroom which was a benefit he hadn't enjoyed in quite some time. 'It's perfect and I hope one day to be as well adapted as you appear to be. I can't imagine it was easy for you' He didn't imagine it'd be easy for himself.
'I think I've seen everything I need to right now,' Masque answered with a stifled yawn. 'If its all right, I think I may just like to sleep now and perhaps start bringing in my things tomorrow.' It was the start of a new life. All that meant to him was still somewhat shadowed, but changes were guaranteed.

”Talking might be a tad overrated.” Sam said with a slight laugh, ”Just mean you can’t ramble at all.” something he knew a few teachers were known to do. Chatter for example had a tendency to talk for hours about different things than his subject matter.
”Eh, it’s easy enough. Once you have some of the meals here and enjoy the hot water, I’m sure you’ll adapt well enough.” once Masque said he’d like to get some sleep Sam nodded his head and gave him a slight wave, ”Take your time and everyone knows where my office is if you need some help with anything.” Sam started to walk away, ”Nice meeting you Masque and welcome to Mutant Manor.”
