The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty loved the idea of being undercover. It was like his usual game, but unlike picking pockets or stealing cars or breaking houses, this took things to the next level. Instead of stealing, targets werehanding him their money.
His environment, however, he had other opinions of. The decor reminded him of those phony psychic booths at fairs and carnivals. However, he felt his costume fit the part rather nicely. He wasn't sure why, but something about the robe just seemed right--even if he hated ties with a passion. Oh well.
The redhead easily slipped into the part, each customer perfecting his cover even more, as he slowly slipped in little lies here and there, increasing with each customer. In little time at all, he'd almost perfected the art of twisting the truths he saw with his powers into amusing--yet completely believable lies. For practice, he'd even sprinkled in ghosts and spirits here and there, even if he in reality had no way of seeing them.
Lenna had told him today would be the day. A little tinge of nervousness began to stir in the pit of his gut, but was instantly smothered. Then, the bell jangled and someone walked in. Go Time...
He was flanked on either side by an identical twin. The twins were broad of shoulder and broader of chin, with rippling pectorals and chest muscles you could bounce a quarter off while they danced. It was a feat of engineering that they'd managed to fit into their tailored suits. By contrast, their charge was a tiny little man with hair on his lip to make up for a lack up top. Despite this, or in spite of this, he held himself with far more confidence than one of his stature would have been expected to have. Walking in like the magnificent beast he was, he addressed Ty with a complete lack of diffidence, and a heaping helping of respect.
"Greetings," the man said. "I hear you are a talented medium. I have a desire to see this gift at work. Would you please see me?"
His bodyguards weren't empty-handed. In their hands, they carried a duffel bag each. This man had heard that in order to commune with the spirits from the beyond, the medium would desire belongings. This, he'd arranged in the bag.
Far away from Ty, where she could see without disrupting his powers, Lenna watched and directed Ty to show him in. This was their man. The men on either side watched the medium intently and intensely as they followed their bosses orders, by simply looming in place.

Go Time. Ty knew it now if he didn't know it before; there was no mistaking the three guys that walked in. This was his mark. Though the lad had to wonder why the bosses were always these tiny little men. But when you have power like this guy, it didn't matter how small you were; you were all but untouchable.
Ty was calm; maybe it was his dealings with these types before, but most likely it was Lenna being not too far away. One felt better when he had his own connections as well.
"Welcome to Redd's; walk-ins always are," Ty said formally, playing the traditional psychic bit without overdoing it. "My name is Redd. Have a seat, and we can get started." Waiting for the man to follow his instructions, he kept his main focus on the leader. "Before we begin, what brings you to my humble shop today?"
The man hated to repeat himself. More-so, he hated giving too much information up-front. "I wished to see your gift with my own eyes," he stated briskly, though still politely. "If it's what I imagine, I wouldn't mind consulting over some things." Business things. Spirits often had different viewpoints on the world, in his opinion. And whether or not he dealt with a certain group or squashed them wasn't something he liked leaving to a coin toss.
One of his guards eyed 'Redd' suspiciously. Another of his guards had the same look, but with an added flare of the nostrils that seemed to say 'something stinks.'
Lenna spoke into Ty's ear-piece. "Give them a show."
One of the guards stepped forward at a look from his boss, offering Redd the duffle filled with things.

Ty smiled lightly. "Ah, you wish to have a taste before you decide if you want to make an order. A free sample, if you will. That, I can easily arrange." When the duffel bag was placed in front of him, Ty reached out, his bare palm touching the fabric. Closing his eyes, he focused on each and every detail that he could, putting his hands on the table where they could be seen.
"The two bags were bought as a set. Not too terribly old, but they've earned their keep. This one...you've taken on a business trip more than once. On a few instances, he," Ty jerked his thumb at the guy on the left, "has been known to drop or trip over it. Right now, a hat, a pair of shoes, a bow-tie, and a cane are among the items in this bag."
Their target smiled an unimpressed smile, and shrugged his shoulders. "This, I could get from any good detective. I wish to see more."
Lenna sighed. Get it together, Ty." She said testily. "He wants personal details, not just the contents of the bag and 'you tripped over it.' Give him what he wants."
It was no good to give the guy a predictable show. What would impress him was more than just what was currently in the bag. Now, what might in the past have been in the bag, that was impressive. Also, how things were connected to his history. Large sums of money, for instance, though that had the potential to backfire and make him distrustful. Family connections worked oh so much better. And were likely what he'd intended.
