The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Amelia should have just said the crazy girl was just crazy. Now there was a real chance of getting infected. Oh this wasn't good at all. He wasn't dead yet, though. He could get up. He could walk. His legs were fine. The actual act of getting up was surprisingly difficult with a masticated shoulder, but he managed, and he didn't even sway once he was up. Not swaying was good, right? He suspected that swaying would be more of a sign of rabies and impending doom than not-swaying.
He still wasn't going to look at his shoulder, though. He could feel a distinctly damp stickiness across his entire palm and he really didn't want to know how much the bite was actually bleeding. He was still fighting off threatening shadows whenever his attention slipped too much. It was just imagination anyway, not real memory. He hadn't been awake so he couldn't remember, thus he didn't remember and what he was seeing wasn't real.
Anyway. Health considerations first. "It'll heal," he said, trying to be cool and logical about it and not think RABIES RABIES RABIES OH GOD HE WAS GOING TO DIE "but I would... like to know if I've contracted anything lethal. If I start foaming at the mouth and going crazy before then, please put me out of my misery before I hurt anyone."
Her face still hurt, from where the girl had scratched her. It burned with the type of fire that Amelia knew meant it was healing. It'd take time, some blood, and probably a couple nights of rest, but it'd heal. She wouldn't be physically scarred like some people, or-- she stopped that line of thought as she remembered Aiden was one such person. And there was nothing wrong with people having scars. It'd just have been stupid if that had been the cause of one. Girl fight. Real amusing. Almost as bad as if she'd sprained her ankle jumping for joy.
She shook her head with a small smile that she hoped was calming, and not disconcerting. This guy was seriously worried about rabies underneath his mask 'of cool'? She'd thought he'd been joking. "I don't think she has rabies." She tugged the girl along as she started walking towards the mansion. "Do you?"
Aria grimaced, and hissed. Another tug and a glare silenced that. "... No." She muttered towards the ground, defeated.
"She's not rabid. Just crazy," Amelia said with certainty. "If she were rabid, she wouldn't have realized she'd lost. The mansion's this way," she added, glancing back towards Aiden, and hoping he'd follow. "Doc Prof can patch us up."

So now she didn't think the creeper had rabies? Couldn't she just make up her mind already? Hopefully she'd go with 'not rabid.' The maybe-rabid creeper girl agreed about being clean, though, so maybe he wasn't going to die. Maybe.
Right. Mansion. Safety. Even if it meant staying in close proximity to crazy people. He trailed after Amelia, keeping a very close eye on the girl, and tried not to think about what would happen if Amelia were wrong about the rabies thing. Would Doc Prof be able to tell if he were infected? Maybe not with rabies, but there were probably a ton of other disease the girl could be carrying. He couldn't actually list any right now, but that hardly meant they didn't exist. He wasn't exactly an expert in mouthborne diseases and how they were going to kill you.
He stretched his fingers and his wrist, trying to get a better feel for how badly his shoulder was actually damaged. The bite complained, definitely, but he had to admit that there didn't seem to be any actual limit on how he could move. He gave up on testing it short of actually moving his shoulder, though.
They reached the mansion. Aria struggled the whole way, but she didn't get free. No super-human strength. She just had the strength and agility of a regular crazy teenage girl. Amelia led them through the entrance, the hallways, and all the way to the mansion infirmary. Doc Prof was there, ready, when they came in. He turned, and nodded quietly by way of greeting.
"And why is she being held like that?" The old man spoke calmly as he took in the obvious injuries without asking about them. The potential the girl had caused them was there, but he made no assumptions. Aria snapped her teeth at him in answer. "Ah, I see." Was his response. "Well then, should I call the police?"
Amelia looked to Aiden. "Do you want to press charges?"

It felt kind of awkward walking into the infirmary. He'd walked out of it a few times already - invariably from that psychotic bird thing - but going in under his own power and while conscious was kind of new. He gave Doc Prof a sheepish mini-wave.
Wait, police? Charges? Aiden blinked. Neither thought had occurred to him whatsoever. Maybe he had kind of assumed that the police would just show up and haul the crazy girl off, but that just stemmed from general society-ness and the whole ingrained idea that cops took away bad people. Hm. In that case, maybe a bunch of guys in white jackets would be better suited to this one.
"I just want to know if she gave me something lethal," he said quietly, uncomfortable with having all the attention and power thrust in his lap. Why couldn't other people decide what happened to the girl?
"The poison will take effect in 24 hours," the brunette lied through clenched teeth. "If I don't get set free."
Amelia rolled her eyes. She didn't buy that for a second. Some people told the stupidest untruths when they were worried they'd get sent to jail. It had to do with not wanting to take responsibility for one's actions, and panic. "Don't believe her," she said tiredly. A hand ran through her hair. "She's probably lying to save her backside."

..."Poison's probably better than disease," Aiden admitted. He didn't want to find out if he could heal from poison, but it had to be easier than healing from some lethal disease that didn't even have proper cures. He peered at the girl.
She probably was lying. All right. He eyed Doc Prof anyway, though. "I don't suppose you could, er..." he vaguely gestured at his shoulder with his bloody hand. "Just in case?" At least he wasn't waking up after another apparent bout with the pyro turkey from hell. That had to be something.
His power wasn't likely to heal poisons (or diseases), but the boy didn't have to know that. It would heal the flesh. The rest, he would simply let the boy think was fixed. It was wholly unlikely there were any diseases in this girl, anyways. At least, not the kind spread through a bite. Doc Prof's hand cupped around the end of his sleeve, rolling it up. Then, he stepped forward and placed a hand on Aiden's shoulder, where the bite was. There was a faint white glow and warmth. In his mind, the scene with the bite played out. After a moment, he stepped away, rolling his sleeve back down. "You're healed," he said. Looking to Amelia, he added. "Do you need any healing for those minor scratches?"
One shoulder shrugged. Gee. "Might as well." She said casually. It wasn't going to kill her, but at the same time, why not? Doc Prof didn't like healing minor injuries constantly, but if he was offering, and she was already there.
He took a moment to heal her, then stepped away, shaking his head. "Hair-pulling. Dear me."

Aiden fidgeted a little as Doc Prof approached and rubbed at a bit of drying blood along the edge of his palm in lieu of outright flinching at the contact. Okay, he may have flinched a little. Only a little!
The warm flush under Doc Prof's hand was definitely the most uncomfortable part, at least for Aiden. It was fortunate that he'd just been outside and it was nice and cool, so he could handle the heat. Probably. As long as it went away soon - ah. Done. He relaxed considerably as the healing mutant turned towards Amelia, and could almost admit to himself that it wasn't entirely because his shoulder wasn't throbbing anymore.
Healing done, Amelia stepped away from Doc Prof and the pale guy to hit up the mansion phone. The girl was still bound and unhappy, struggling slightly as she stood uncomfortably against a wall. Amelia hadn't offered her a seat. Her fingers punched in a number, and she spoke into the phone quietly, but loud enough those on the other end could hear her, explaining the situation. The bound girl's face grew grim.
After a few minutes of talking, explanations, and directions, she hung up. Well, that was settled. It would be good to get a problem person like this off the streets. A hand ran through her hair, fixing it a bit more as she sighed. Man, the day had been stressful. Her blood pressure was still too high.
"And to think," she muttered. "I thought today would be flowers and frosted ground. Not fingernails and follicles."

Aiden waited awkwardly, still not sure if he had to hang around or not. Everyone was pretty much ignoring him. Well, the crazy bitey girl might not be, but he was very pointedly and carefully not looking at her. Or near her. Except to make sure she was still where she was supposed to be and not creeping towards him.
"The ground's still frosted," he replied awkwardly. "So... is she going to be... you know... dealt with? And not kept here?" He snuck a glance at the crazy girl. "And... er.. do.. do you need me here?" He had stuff to do, after all, like stop by the kitchen.
Aiden spoke, and as he did, her eyes shifted his way. Her brow furrowed and her mouth tilted. What a weird guy.
"You may go," Doc Prof spoke for Amelia.
"Yeah," Amelia chimed in a second later, tone uncertain. "If you aren't filing a police report or anything, that's fine..." Though why he wouldn't was beyond her. Although maybe he just didn't want the trouble. She couldn't think of a good reason to keep him, save to test for rabies, and she'd been joking about that. Aiden seemed in a hurry to go. So. He could. "Bye," she trailed, diverting her focus back to Aria, and going over in her head what she was going to tell the police.
