The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Streak had an appearance to uphold. The other gang members just barely started to trust him like they trusted everyone else. He figured his eyes unnerved some of them. Since he hadn't been around as long he needed to play the part as perfectly as he could. This assignment would be over soon enough. As all his friends got rowdy and tormented people he stuck with trashing the building. The silver manipulator picked up a lamp and hurled it across the room. When it's destination ended it was lying in a heap with broken light bulb and shattered base against a wall.
The undercover x-men watched a couple of his biker buddies tangle with a few well trained younger kids. "Hey Jacob!" One of the bikers called out, "Why don't you stop trashing the furniture and meet scare some people?" It wasn't a request it was a challenge. As conflicted as he already was with the whole terrorizing thing he couldn't punk out in plan view of some of his fellow bikers; especially at a challenge like that. They hadn't seen him do much since he joined them on their east coast cruise and some were looking forward to seeing him in action.
The silver mutant smiled and grabbed a scrawny guy dressed as a bell hop. The bell hop was supposed to be one of the ghosts lurking the building. However, when Streak grabbed his collar the guy became very much alive and cowered at the thought of getting beaten. "Sorry." Streak muttered to the guy before beating him unconscious.
He was sure the muttered apology didn't make the guy feel any better, especially when he would be waking up with a black eye and some minor contusions. But it made Shawn feel better knowing that he at least couldn't control the situation without blowing his cover. A couple of other bikers had gathered around to witness the beating and all started guffawing and shouting their approval before dispersing to follow their own paths of fun. The man that had called to Streak had picked on the wrong guy and was taken out by a rock monster.
Streak had only seen one person use that and it had been a while since he'd seen the guy. Streak was the pilot for Locke's first x-men mission to the volcano. He sauntered over to the Locke, who was still holding onto a kid and watching Chuck go down an elevator. As soon as the doors closed Streak kicked at the gravel thing that had taken his companion out."Hey Locke. Long time no see."
Things were happening all around her, and it was hard to keep track of it all. People were shouting and fighting, being rowdy, and property damage was happening left and right. For now, the best she could do was help those nearest to her. Amelia's focus turned to the ghost woman she'd spoken to earlier. The girl had light hair, and was standing over a biker.
As she drew near the woman, Amelia asked an obvious question. "You alright?" She kept checking the area around her, on-guard. The last thing she wanted was to get hit from behind while she was trying to help someone else. Then she'd be the one in dire need of help, and that sucked.

Things turned into a blur, one Evelyn would have taken the time to reevaluate, if she could. Not that it mattered much at this point in time. The echoes would remember every detail later whether she wanted them to or not. After knocking over the biker, Evelyn barely managed to free herself from his grip, as a nearby kid turned into an enormous stuffed tiger. The girl who approached her earlier got into a scuffle with someone else.
This party was definitely not what she signed up for. She clenched and unclenched her hands, wishing she had a better weapon to fight with. She scooped up a busted candlestick instead, and tried not to cringe at the damage being caused. This had to be stopped...
There was a cry from by the elevator, and Evelyn turned to see the laughing figure as the elevator went down.
Someone asked if she was alright, Evelyn blinked and nodded. "I'm fine, got a few more things to take care of though." She remarked and without giving more information took off at a dart for the stairwell. Elevators weren't particularly fast, and the echoes knew which direction they were going. To the basement it was. Because every fight in a haunted house should end in a basement, right?
Scrambling to a stop just outside the elevator, Evelyn tried to calm her breathe as the door pinged open.

The Tori men were generally thought to be relatively harmless and fairly easy going. In his life there were only a few events that managed to ruffle Hugo's feathers. Locke kept his lips shut when something bothered him, and he had been called "Rock man" long before his mutation had been present because of how he faced life's chaos with a stony face. Chris often was in a world of his own, a happy carefree kid that only seemed scared when there was thunder and lightning. However, if you tried to mess with their girls, you would be punished, and punished harshly. Locke was on a rampage with Fluffy, picking up the body he had made fall and swinging it into another biker that he had seen before slipping into the gravel and rock companion that was just barely being less destructive than Bad Wolf. He was aware of someone aproaching him, and his grip on Chris's leg tightened because of it. Chris however was just as furious as his big brother, and even with his small size, he wasn't going to let this unruly crowd get away with making his big sister scared.
If a stranger tries to hurt you, and it's a guy, Locke taught them, hit low and hit hard. Mai didn't understand why that advice was given, though she knew that such a hit when in a movie or cartoon show made both her brothers cringe. Chris got it, and he had good aim to hit that specific area. He didn't know that the one with the Bad Wolf jacket also flew his big brother to help save the world. The fact that Streak had greeted Locke before Chris punched seemed a little wierd though.
Two of the pack saw that their fun was being hampered and decided that something needed to be done about that. At first it seemed as if the pair had decided to retreat, rushing back outside with their heads ducked low as they plowed through the chaos. However with the stench of gasoline and the revving of engines, it became clear that they had chosen to use the Lion's Head as their own personal race track.

Streak didn't think Locke would attack him. He certainly wasn't expecting one from a kid, who he figured was Locke's little brother. That kid had good sense and good aim. The his was hard and direct to the family jewels. Streak doubled over trying to catch his breath and hopefully bring his jewelry out of his stomach as that sickening feeling filled his stomach. He hated that feeling. You can be hit a million times and it still isn't as bad as that. "Geez Locke! I'm just...trying to...warn you. That...was a little...uncalled for." Streak was completely ignoring the kid. He didn't know him and at the moment didn't want to know him.
The silvermancer cleared his throat a couple of times and straightened his body. He took a few deep breaths, still trying to get rid of that vomit feeling that was creeping up to his throat from his stomach. "I'll explain later. But suffice to say I can't blow cover right now." Streak glanced over his shoulder and saw that there were a couple of bikers that were determined to turn this place into their personal track. The silver mutant rolled his eyes. Maybe his cover would be blown sooner than he thought. Those two never liked him anyways. Maybe he could blame it on someone else and keep his cover.
"Jacob get out of our way!" one of the bikers yelled over the roaring of his bike. He revved it a couple of time to indicate that he would run Streak over without a second thought. Streak took a few steps away from Locke and, out of sight of the bikers created a silver staff. The staff was just about his height and he waited for his opportunity. As the bikers rode by he swung hard effectively knocking one of them off their bike and knocking him unconscious. Streak reabsorbed the staff before anyone could see. The distraction of the bike traveling without a rider was a good diversion also. That guy probably wouldn't know who or what hit him.
Apparently, she was fine. And gone, just like that. Amelia watched her hit the stairwell, then turned her attentions elsewhere. That elsewhere being avoiding a riderless bike skidding her way.
"Oh, holy sh--!" Officer Jenny jumped like she'd never jumped before. The bike hit a wall and made a mess of it. It kept going for another few feet. As the wall crumbled, her eyes crept open from behind their arm shield. What a mess! What the hell did these Bikers think they were doing?
"THIS IS NO MOON OF ENDOR!!!" She shouted. An engine rumbled and roared as its rider revved it up, eyes focusing on her. A dark grin spread across his face like an oil slick. Her arms moved in front of her in a sweeping motion, like a water bending bending water. As the bike flew forward, a red ribbon (slightly see-through) appeared in the air in front of him, arm-lenth, and just as thick. As he hit it, Amelia winced, a brief flash of pain coursing through her as the construct broke and he went tumbling. Another bike went riderless. Hadn't she just tried putting a stop to that?! More property damage, ahoy. This time, it stopped before it hit a wall.
The biker groaned, wearily getting to his wobbly feet. Amelia took a fighting stance, Growlithe momentarily discarded.

There was a lot of commotion coming from upstairs as the door to the elevator pinged open. The sound of motor bikes got the biker to look up just long enough that Evelyn could jump forward, and a hit him with a punch that sent him away from the kids inside. While Evelyn was not particularly strong, she could still pack some force behind her punches, something the biker learned as he fell into the wall.
"Get out of here, quick!" Evelyn yelled at Mai as she stepped in front of her, the biker straightening up and growling with anger. She heard the shuffle of feet heading towards the stairs but let the echoes focus on the man she'd just ticked off.
"Bad move, princess." He snarled, and his fist went flying towards her face. [Right punch, faked left.] She caught one punch, dodging sideways so the other connected with her shoulder. Swinging her knee up she missed his groin, but still got the whoosh of air that left his stomach from contact. Even with the echoes warning she wasn't quite fast enough to avoid the hand that grabbed her hair, or stop the punch that caught her along the face and sent the echoes scrambling.
It was a bad time for a reboot...
Training kicked in even as the information flooded her mind. She was unarmed, but she had to use her environment. Anything goes, especially in a fight like this. Blindly grabbing the walkie talkie she had on her hip, she swung and felt the distant impact of the metal to the bikers face. His roar of anger broke through the wave of playbacks she was getting, and her head slammed back into the wall.
