"Happens to the best of us" Maya smirked, glancing at the girl in the passenger's seat "I mean, my powers have been active since before I was even born. Some of them, anyway, the rest came later. When did you find out you can turn into..."

It was strange to think about it. What was Mother Nature thinking when She decided some people will have the ability to turn into inanimate (and fragile) objects?...

"... what can you turn into, anyway?"

Paige gave a giggle, relaxing a bit. "Oh, well...it started when I was almost fourteen. I was at cheer-leading tryouts for high school the next year, and one of the football players snuck up behind me and startled me. Next thing I knew, I was looking up at everyone and they were gawking down at me." Paige gave another chuckle, looking at Maya.

"That day, I discovered that when spooked, I turned into a spork. Occasionally, if I get too emotional or if startled, that still happens. Mostly what I can shift into are simpler things. But I can do a toaster or a microwave or something like that, only it won't work. Non-electronic devices I can do pretty well though."
