Kaz watched as the girl eyed the slamiches. He found it amusing how she seemed to distrust the great tuna melt. Taking a bite of his as he watched her do the same, laughing inwardly. Finishing his off around the same time she did, he looked up at her when she spoke. "Thanks." <It's interesting to see how people react to something new.> His plate was empty when she finished her other tuna melt.
"So, where'd you learn to make such good sandwiches?" An innocent easy question, yet it caught Kaz by surprise. For a moment he seemed to be lost within himself, his shoulders sagged just the smallest bit, barely noticable. Catching himself he looked at her and mentally chastized himself. "Hmmm...," Pausing as if recalling a memory, "From an ex in high school if I remember right. She knew I could be lazy, especially when it came to cooking for myself, so she showed me how to make something quick, easy, and quite tasty." He gave her a smirk.

Kaz raised an eyebrow as he turned and looked at the big man. "What kind of work?" Turning to Overcast, "Guess this'll be cut short." Standing up, "I guess it doesn't matter. My guess it came from the big man himself. I'll grab a few things from my room and meet ya on the steps outside." Taking a few steps, he paused next to Abyss and spoke softly, "I hope this will be at least a bit entertaining."
Making his way to his room, he grabbed two blades, longer than standard daggers but shorter than a shortsword, easily concealable. <Probably a good idea not to look too suspicous> he thought to himself. Putting them in a sheath that rested behind his back on his waistline, he turned and began to walk out the door before he spotted a pair of knuckle busters. Grabbing them, he put them in his pocket while he headed to the stairs.

Overcast looked around. She had finished her food, and the guy she'd been talking too had left. She could've stayed longer, true, but she was bored, and very curious about what they were doing in the park - they'd been so vague. So she got up and brought her dishes into the kitchen before leaving.
