The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It seemed strange that this personality was already a part of her... From the way people talked about her, she seemed like she was a generally distasteful sort of person who enjoyed things like stealing and blowing things up. How did this new her fit in?
Child-like... That would be the way to describe her now. The word flickered through her mind, trying to shove its way through the fog. She was child-like. What made someone that way when they were raised stealing and getting whatever they wanted off the streets? "I don't know. I just feel like part of me is missing. I kinda want it back. Kinda afraid to. It's like opening a box you can't see and sticking your hand in. Don't know if I'll like what I find..."
She frowned slightly as Serena got a little better, and reached out her hand and set it lightly on her shoulder. "Memories pull us places sometimes. Good or bad, sometimes you just have to go somewhere to come to terms with what happened. I've retraced this city what feels like a hundred times. Sometimes I end up place that don't seem to have much meaning now, or that seem silly, but I find something there that I needed. Like tonight. We ran into each other and that's already made things better." She smiled. They started down another alleyway, and things felt like they were looking more familiar.
Serena smiled and nodded "And I think that would be perfectly normal for someone with amnesia." Serena felt so bad for her friend. She couldn't imagine how confused she must feel.
Actually... She could, she imagined it being something like the state of shock and not knowing what to do the night that her brother died. But then Tses helped her and brought her to the mansion. She really was a lovely person... by the sounds of it, she just made bad choices occasionally.
The little blonde giggled at what Tses said. "Even if you don't really remember me, I'm really glad I ran into you. And from what you said, people were mean or took advantage of you having amnesia, if they do it again. Send em to me! They'll have to deal with one pissed off 17 year old!" Serena teased.
Normal. As if any of this felt normal. Wandering the streets with no idea where you lived, dealing with an empty space in your head you couldn't fill. Feeling guilty for things you had no memory of... Normal. She wasn't sure anything about this amnesia felt normal.
Looking around though, things started to feel familiar and she saw the silhouette of the building she lived in up ahead. She sighed with relief. She wasn't completely hopeless. "I see my apartment. Thank goodness. And as nice as you are, I don't know if I really want anyone fighting. Kinda just want it all to go away." She remarked. She wasn't sure what the kid could do, but something told her it might be a bit on the dangerous side.
They moved towards the building, and Tses readjusted the bags on her arm.
Serena smiled reassuringly. "Sorry, I forgot you can't really remember me. Don't worry, I'd never actually start a fight, fighting is stupid." She stated it as if it was an obvious fact that everyone should know.
Serena smiled as Tses pointed out her apartment building. Serena would probably take her up to her apartment and help her unpack groceries, then she'd probably head home back to her dorm.
Serena gave Tses a warm smile. "I think after I make sure you'll be ok, I'll head back to my dorm."
Tses shot a small glance at her broken wrist, her scarred knuckles, the long lines of cuts on her arms and wondered if the old her would agree with that. She certainly seemed to fight enough, and that was evident when her muscle memory responded to a bad situation. She may have forgotten why she could fight, but she knew that that ability was there. The current here didn't want to fight anyone. Perhaps she thought more along the lines of what Serena said.
They made their way into the building finally, and up several flights of stairs until they reached the 600 numbers. Tses started down the hall until she reached a room with 66 on the front. one of the numbers was gone, and no one really knew why. "Well, home sweet home." Tses said, pushing the door open. The room was small, a simple flat with white walls, no real decoration. There were a few tiger stuffed animals on the bed, but that seemed to be the only real belonging she had out.
Serena smiled to Tses as they scaled the building. She really liked Tses, even when she was an amnesiac. Serena wondered who would look after her if she had amnesia, if it happened at the mansion, she would be looked after for obvious reasons.
She also wondered how long the mansion would put her up, she didn't exactly have parents that could pay them for their trouble.
She pondered what she would do at the end of next year, possibly go to college in New York city, maybe somewhere else. She thought about it. It would probably be possible for her to take classes at NYU, while living at the mansion. She wondered if there was anyone else who currently did that.
As they walked through, Serena noted the size of the room, and then looked to the side and noticed the tiger plushies... "I see you have a thing for tigers..." Serena giggled.
Tses glanced at the stuffed animals, and gave a little nod as if they were the most natural thing in the world for her to have. "Ty says they were gifts. I'm kinda glad they're here though. This place always feels...empty, to me. It would be a lot better with paint, but I think I would strangle myself if I found out I painted while I was not me..." She stumbled over the sentence, and blinked slightly to clear the confusion it created.
"Anyway, I guess I like it boring." She set her grocery bags down on the table and started pulling out frozen dinners and noodles, putting them away. Nothing had entered the apartment that would have required cooking. Most of her appliances looked unused.
Serena raised an eyebrow. Who was Ty? She said it as if 'Ty' Was a nickname, were they together?
Serena slowly began to realise how little she knew about Tses. She didn't know where she lived, she doesn't know how old she is, she doesn't know if she has a boyfriend. She didn't even know what her mutation was...
Serena smiled. "Who is Ty? Your boyfriend?" Serena thought it was a fairly safe assumption to make considering this person had said they were 'gifts' Although, the person might be a sibling.
But Serena was sure that Tses didn't have any family, at least none she spoke to. It sounded like she lived pretty much alone.
"I just realised how little I know about you, when you get your memory back, we should meet up and do something." Serena added with a smile.
Tses blinked at the question, and shook her head. "Nah, not a boyfriend, just a friend I think. Well, I don't know. I... yeah. When my memories come back though we should hang out and talk! Then I won't feel like a broken record all the time. I probably know about as much as you about myself at this point." She said, frowning slightly.
She finished putting away her groceries, and sat in the chair at the kitchen table. "Right now though, I barely even know where I live. I could be anyone..."Maybe even someone I don't want to be... She thought to herself and poked at a stain on the tabletop.
Tses still looked sad. Serena walked up to her. "You aren't anyone. Even if I don't know that much about you, you are my friend. You are Tses and you are awesome." Serena wrapped her in a hug.
She really hoped that Tses would get her memories back soon, and although she didn't know how she would react when her personality was back to normal, Serena hoped that she would react in a pleasant way, knowing that Serena was trying to help her, and not that she was trying to over step any boundaries.
She smiled and released her grip "I think I'm gonna grab a taxi back to the mansion, it's getting a little bit late."
Tses accepted the hug gratefully, and finally a small smile appeared on her face. She chuckled slightly and pushed her bangs from her eyes. "Thanks. I know I'm not the funnest person to be around right now. But I feel like... I'm glad you were there. I hope next time I'll be myself again when we hang out though."
She contemplated whether she should paint the walls sometime or not... She was considering it when Serena moved to leave. "Well thanks for helping out. Be careful out there." Tses said quietly, a little flicker of concern on her face but then she smiled again so she didn't just seem so permanently sad.
Serena released her friend from the hug and smiled. And then giggled slightly. "Well then I hope to see you soon, and I hope you get your memory back soon."
Serena gave a small nod and a wave and then proceeded to leave her safely in her Apartment. Serena made her way down into the street below and then boarded a taxi, thank goodness she had her Money with her.
She returned home, happy that she had seen her friend, even if the evening had started out with the awful idea of her going down that alley. It was as if she had come full circle.
